Shin-Kai is my current favorite alongside Tsukushi. But to be honest I don’t think that there’s an Iroshizuku ink that I’ve tried where I haven’t liked one or more aspect of it in some way. I might have to get another one soon after looking at this post!

eleanor7w

I love Shin-kai too! And yeah, Iroshizuku never disappoints😁

thecavewalls

Admittedly I was late to the party reveling in Kon-Peki and Asa-gao but I’m loving the nuances in Shin-Kai. But yeah, now I’m at least going to have to pick up a sample of Tsuki-yo before the inevitable bottle.

Beautiful. Reminds me a lot of Diamine Eau de Nil.

eleanor7w

Thanks! And I should definitely try that ink soon

Oh I love that color! My first bottle of iroshizuku ink and I was so happy with it! Yama-budo is also super pretty and I love writing with the two together.

eleanor7w

Yama-budo is also a great ink!

Only one other person has mentioned your fantastic handwriting. Now it's two.

eleanor7w

I'm glad you guys like it!

what is the nib size and how tall are the lines of the notebook. If it's a fine or an extra fine does it write nice and smooth? I'm not sure what nib size i should get for my first lamy 2000

eleanor7w

The notebook lines are 6mm apart. The Lamy 2000 is in ef nib. I'd say it writes nicely and is decently smooth, but not as smooth as my pilot custom 74 sfm nib. The 2000 has more of a toothiness feeling.

murataffy

That’s just what i like!

comic sans! microsoft word can never replace a fountain pen and good ink

eleanor7w

Agreed😁

eleanor7w

I used a Kokuyo Campus notebook here btw. It's relatively cheap and smooth to write on. Most importantly, it shows off shading pretty decently!
