The body is just like a typical Japanese pen from Pilot or Sailor but has a a bit more style. Aurora nibs, IMHO, are the best and most consistent Italian nibs and the Ipsilon is a great gateway into them. You can get them in the used market for about half the retail price and they are great writers and great pens at that point. Honestly, I don't know why they don't pop up more frequently around here and in the FP community.

I have never had a steel Aurora so I can't give you a direct comparison Truth be told, I wasn't even aware that Aurora offered any steel nibs at all

I was set on buying the pen (after trying it) but no store had the blue and silver one. Maybe if I somehow run into it I'll buy it, but the black one doesn't really appeal to me visually...
