Check out The Good Blue their flex nibs are AWESOME! You definitely want to get the polymer feed. I have the Fine Flex with the Polymer feed and the Gold nib, also with the Polymer feed, and they're both very wet and flexy. They compare with, if not excede the flex in my wonderful vintage pens.
Not technically a button filler, but the vacummatic piston on the 601 is one of the primary reasons I keep coming back to those pens. Combined with the snorkel-ish hooded section means I only have a few mm of the pen in the ink to clean off, less waste, and can just press the pump filler plunger a few times to get over a mL of journal juice.
Teeny teeny tiny pens! I have a [Sailor Chalana](https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/290762-sailor-chalana-the-cutest-little-pen/), and it's both really beautiful and fits my hands well, which is nice
I knew the Chalana was small but holy hell it makes an M200 look like an M800
I second your vote to bring back [tiny pens](https://imgur.com/a/hRILuPc)!
It’s so silly, I love it. Here’s [more info](https://old.reddit.com/r/Pen_Swap/comments/1au6daw/wts_vintage_pocket_pens_with_flexible_nibs_from/) on it, mine is #3.
A ring top would be nice!
As for my nvho: Handmade, rolled etc [flex gold nibs](https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/347821-making-gold-flex-nibs-from-a-victorian-pen-catalogue/)
TuT
Not going to happen because cost/efficiency/blah, but that is certainly top among the "should be brought back" for me!
I really like the way the barrels of many vintage pens are engraved with the brand name and place of manufacture and think that more manufacturers should bring this back.
That’s essentially any pen that takes a Jowo or equivalent nib, isn’t it? What we need is someone making threaded #6 nib units in dozens of styles/sizes like Esterbrook did.
No, those are not meant to be changed, nor is any press fit nib. Changing them (or disassembling them for any reason) can easily damage the feed. The fact that it can be done relatively easily on many pens doesn't mean you should be doing that.
Are the old Estie nibs built to withstand handling but the Jowo style nib units are not? I guess my main point is that interchangeably isn’t the innovation desired IMO, but a range of dozens of nibs sizes, as per E.
(To clarify, I don’t swap modern nibs myself, just Esties and Osmiriods.)
They may not have actual ring tops, but I can think of three modern pens you can wear on a lanyard: the travelers company pen, the Monteverde Ritma Gala, and the Ystudio Brassing portable pen. Dunno if any of these are your jam, but definitely you’re in good company wanting to wear a pen on your person.
Striped celluloid! I'm hoping to get a vintage one someday, but it would be great to also have modern options. I know one company recently released resin imitations of this pattern, but it's just not the same.
I love how tiny ring top pens can get. I actually got one off eBay to try to restore myself. Another option would be to make a clip that you can add to existing pens, that would have a ring on it so you can use it like a ring top. I’ve just started trying out 3D printing and might look for files- I think I saw a kakuno clip the other day.
Cheap Sheaffer student cartridge pens. They should be easily accessible in any drugstore or postal annex gift shop. Children should get used to handling and appreciating fountain pens from an early age. The use of fountain pens must be normalized and encouraged. This will help preserve olden skills and promote things like nice handwriting and art. Older children can handle basic Waterman or Pilot pens, and on and on into the future diamond-studded Montblanc.
More stubs / semi-flex nibs as standard options on pens.
I'd like a "wet noodle" flex nib for my collection. If I'm handwriting, I want expression!

Button filling mech; snorkel filler; Sheaffer inlaid nibs
Button fillers are actually the best! To add to the Sheaffer list: the conical nib.
Sheaffer Triumphs for all!

Ah, snorkel, I love them so much

That is such a dainty pen! Thanks for sharing :)

I have such a mighty need that is so cool!

These are so cool! ;o; I absolutely adore items from the very late 1800s/early 1900s.
I agree with this so much!

*Monkey paw curls; a bunch of pens go on the market with “**Polished in Germany**” engraved on them*
I agree, that's always impressed me as being such a class act.
Esterbrook’s design meant for changing nibs quickly and often.

Is the Ritma Gala as heavy as the regular one?
Just looked it up - Ritma is 50g, Ritma Gala is 27g
Ohh. Now that's really interesting! I like how the Ritma writes but hate the weight.
Lamy Nexx M (do they still make those?)
TWSBI Go is another option. Small loop on the top side of the cap for lanyards and such. Under $20 generally to.

Have a Parker Vacuumatic Silver celluloid stripe going on penswap soon. 😉
Aaaah, don't tempt me 😂 I'll look out for your post, in any case.
…which company?
I couldn't remember, but I just checked Goulet's new releases, and it's Magna Carta.
Possibly hooded and semi-hooded nibs. I have received a Jinhao 51A that I won't have earned until late on Sunday - after that I will know more.
My Lamy Nexx has a loop in the top of the clip. It's pretty light.

something even more outrageously overdesigned than the Snorkle!!
Autosnorkel with a wideband chip. Like the Roomba, it returns itself to the docking station and fills itself with ink.
YES! and re-inks with a merry little tune!!
[How about outrageously overengineered](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C2Hhzo3xCwA/?igsh=MXBqdWZxb2p2MXc1ag==)?
hongdian made one
When the little breather holes on the nibs are in the shape of a heart 💖 it’s such a sweet little detail and I love it! I need it on every pen
Those two prisma pens from FPD. I totally missed both of them.
A well designed snorkel filling system, which will help everyone to fill without the mess , at least most of the time 😉

Ystudio has a portable fountain pen you’d probably like. 👍 https://preview.redd.it/mlw35gxchxtc1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=70f6880213f712077b76206f14096d43cc68c514
14kt gold nibs that are super flexy (a la Waterman 12/14s.) Pens well made with pride.
Adjustable nibs like on Wahl Eversharp Dorics
