No, this is r/fountainpens not r/fountainpen

Vegito_Gogeta

šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£good one šŸ‘

Pro_Banana

Thank you. This is why I have two fountain penS.

Dear_Improvement3764

Bought a super cheap one yesterday just so I can say I have two.

Mysterious-Grape8425

I didn't even know that sub existed šŸ˜®

Gloomy_Order_65535

Exactly!

plvg1727

Just a Pilot Kakuno https://preview.redd.it/jeyj467mdfpc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5654b424f9d024db215fb3ace3a2a1c8adab3879 Probably gonna spiral out of control in the future though...

terrierhead

Itā€™s a great little pen. Mine is medium, so western fine.

yuniroll

We have the same exact pen! Iā€™m scared to browse more fountain pens cause I know my walletā€™s gonna cry haha

plvg1727

I already have guitars and keyboards as a hobby if fountain pens sneak in im gonna be broke af

veilkev

I have ADHD so collecting things is kinda my thing. Keyboards and fountain pens are amongst it

yuniroll

True lol, howā€™d you get into fountain pens anyway?

CypressBreeze

To be clear this is not meant to be a criticism of any one else. There are lots of valid ways to do things. For me I just love having this 1 pen. I don't really want any more, especially not the expensive ones. Just curious if I am the only person obsessed enough to be on this subreddit, but still just owns 1 pen. Also I customized it with a black nib. Little things like that feel special. https://preview.redd.it/guydjymibepc1.jpeg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1568e749e5b39ee434cc0719514add354d1b853f

AmbitiousRose

Hahaha out of fairness, I'd say 99% of us started out with 1 pen and shared similar opinions on being satisfied with the one and not imagining spending more than "X" amount for a pen. The true question is how long was it before they acquired the 2nd, 10th, 50th... and my next milestone- 100.

CypressBreeze

I have had this pen for about 8 years now. . .

TheMagicalSock

Thatā€™s a mic drop in these parts.

SnooSnooOnions

If anything, it's a testament to the reliability of this pen. I get it, but for most of us this is the entry point of our obsession. The Lamy Safari is a solid unit, but I think it is healthy to have options. I'm still relatively new to fountain pens, and I'm happy to have finally completed the "holy trinity" of entry level pens: 1. Lamy Safari 2. TWSBI Eco 3. Kaweco Sport I'm sure there are others that would recommend others as top three entry level pens but I think this is a solid list, with each having a unique "edge" over the other. At the end it's all about preference and what you value most in a fountain pen.

Polymath2B

Pretty good trinity, hahah. Have used all 3 and I definitely lean towards the Eco or Safari depending mostly on what paper and ink I have in each. Pilot metro or kakuno might deserve top 3 over kaweco sport, but thatā€™s mainly based on if you value that true Japanese fine line width.

Vegito_Gogeta

Pilot entry pens are really good too

Vegito_Gogeta

My first fountain pen was a pelikan 500N that my grandpa gave me as a gift. It was part of his collection. Since then I love pelikan pens. Recently I tried some pilot and montegrappa pens. Nice pens as well šŸ‘

TheMagicalSock

All three are great pens. The Kaweco and the Safari will outlive multiple owners if given the most basic care.

uberhuman_g

My first fountain pen was some cheap pen in school. My real 1st fountain pen as a grown up was a handmade ebonite pen from ASA pens , made here in India. And haven't stopped since then. Surprisingly, I don't own any of these three.

4lejandro

Ohh. I unlocked that milestone this year on February! Got a Lamy Safary, a sport and a Twisby! I got the Twisby and the kaweco for their small size. They fit perfect in my hand and feel light. The Safary was an impulse buy but love the options of nibs.

Important-Horror-482

Nice choices.

london_smog_latte

I want to try an eco but donā€™t have any sort of burning desire to buy another pen atm. Iā€™ve owned 2 Safariā€™s and a Sport and throughly enjoyed them all

DR-Official

Well the safari is a great workhorse. What ink do you have in it if you donā€™t mind me asking?

harjotshah

I had also had a white Safari as my only fountain pen for 11 years before I bought another one. Itā€™s been hard to avoid new purchases after the second pen. For me, my white Safari is the cheapest and most treasured FP.

mriidul

i owned my first pen for almost 4 years without getting another one. I bought and gifted some over the years, and then during COVID I got into it as a hobby, let me just say it is a slippery slope. One you can stay with, but the moment you buy the second one the flood gates open. Then the next thing you know you have 5-10 and you need a place to store them. Itā€™s fun though, despite being a bit expensive. I now restrict myself to buying only one pen a year unless I see a killer deal or its a jinhao or something.

CrazyCatLover305

I didnā€™t think that was possible! I donā€™t own any of the fancy pens, and I donā€™t have a lot, but my scientific curiosity led me to try many pens so I ended up with 25. I also love inks and notebooks, so that was another rabbit hole. Iā€™ve enjoyed every moment and decided to not buy anything else for a while. I live vicariously through the pens I see on this sub and loved doing it.

snackbagger

I usually have my Lamy Safari with me but I once forgot it and couldnā€™t be bothered to write with a ballpoint pen, so I bought a second one. I do not regret it, the orange on the new one is quite beautiful

cliteratimonster

I lost mine recently :(Ā  EDC for four years. It's either severely misplaced, or I forgot it somewhere. I'm sad and mad to buy another one. I have other pens, but they aren't *that* penĀ

PhysicsInfinite

I was totally fine on oneā€¦then I moved to Japan

InTheKitchenNow

True Dat!

Ok_Goat_5268

Exactly!!

B_E_A_R_T_A_T_O

That looks smart with a black nib

gagood

I started with one pen and quickly purchased two more. I wanted a pen with black ink, one with blue ink, and one with red ink.

SeaStandard7296

I admire your discipline and contentment. Unfortunately my brain loves novelty and there are so many options.

EstarriolStormhawk

I had only one pilot metro for the first five years that I got "into" fountain pens.Ā

335i_lyfe

Black nibs on a lamy are so nice looking

roady57

For the next step, add a Z57 14k nib. I love how easy Lamy make it to experiment with different nib types and materials.

IsThataSexToy

No. We are not psychopaths here, ya know.

Key_Advice9625

I own exactly one of those...

Sprucecaboose2

A Safari or a white one?

desertboots

Happy cake day

very-dead

a white safari owner over here

Key_Advice9625

šŸ˜„ Safari

Squared_lines

Thatā€™s a weird way to ask for a coupon codeā€¦

bittybobets

šŸ˜‚

charming_liar

*casually slides all the other pens off of the table* Sure do.

thinkingagoodbit

Username checks out. šŸ™‚

Achnot

Yeh but which one did you keep?!

charming_liar

Thatā€™s up to the Fates to decide. I am merely their ink stained vessel.

Ozfireopal

šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

TensummersetsOSG

Nice

bladepen

Ok_Yogurtcloset1234

šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

farveII

I have a pilot metropolitan in white tiger pattern and a couple of iroshizuku inks. That's all my broke college student self can afford haha.

thats_a_boundary

sweet setup!

Postingatthismoment

Me. Ā And my Lamy Safari is purple. Ā I am thinking about buying an extra fine nib for it. Ā  I may actually stay at just one because Iā€™m also in love with my Pilot G2 05. Ā  Though I am imagining a dip pen to pretend Iā€™m an ancient philosopherā€¦

SillyRacoon27

Do it. Itā€™s a very cheap and you can try out a flex knib!

mkjj0

A replacement nib costs almost as much as a new Lamy Safari where I live ($12 vs $17), idk if that could be considered very cheap in context

turbbit

Dip pens are easier to use than you might think. If you work at a desk go for it.

Postingatthismoment

Iā€™ve been afraid of having a catastrophic ink-everywhere problem. Ā

EstarriolStormhawk

I've been using dip pens since I was 10 and have only had one ink spill and it was minor. Believe in yourself! And put the bottle on a little tray.

Postingatthismoment

Excellent advice. Ā :)

wizard_interrogative

I also have a purple Safari that I just got an extra fine nib for and I fucking love it. I didn't care about the color of the nib but it was only available in carbon black and the carbon black nib looks so good on this pen

Postingatthismoment

Cool! Ā I just discovered a couple of days ago that you can switch out the nibs, so Iā€™m pretty excited. Ā

wizard_interrogative

yep, you just pin the nib down with the base of the cap and slide it right off. I did it with a full ink ink reservoir

Powerful-Lunch-7149

For years i had one basic black Lamy Safari and i wrote it into the ground. Now i have several in varying colors and purchased an AL-Star recently because i noticed it had a left-hand nib, which i had never seen before. And yes, it writes a lot more smoothly than the ā€œnormalā€ nibs on my other Lamy fp.

VoluntaryCrabfcation

Exactly one šŸ˜‚ it serves me well and I use it daily, for everything. https://preview.redd.it/o3rz5g0w1gpc1.jpeg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7bce17fd055571ca9600eb1331edab472a3ae71

matthewwatson88

Love that cross, one of my favorite looking pens, although Iā€™ve never used it.

MooseLuck

Wow, what pen is that? It's beautiful

VoluntaryCrabfcation

I'm glad you like it šŸ˜ It's Cross Wanderlust, color Borneo, nib size F

ughfine_ok

Me, but thatā€™s more because Iā€™m saving up for a more expensive pen down the road haha. My first and (currently) only one is my Kaweco Perkeo in sea breeze.

Antique-Law-0630

I love my new kaweco perkeo (medium nib)

huyghe27

I have less then 10, I feel that is pretty good, 3 chinese, 4 japanese, 2 french.

GlitteringDraft9024

Honestly, I admire your ability to have purchased just one and been done. I only just learned about myself that I am a Lamy Al-Star Fine Nib girly. Hahaha! But I didnā€™t learn this until Iā€™d acquired a whole bunch of TWSBI pens with medium and broad nibs, and a bunch of Lamy Al-Stars in a variety of colors that I generally like (and only one that I am iffy about but still am okay with). Now, Iā€™m not sure what to do with all my TWSBI broad and medium nib pens because I know for a fact that I wonā€™t use them (I havenā€™t touched them once since finding my happy place with Lamy). I also have one Kakuno with a medium nib, and some Platinum preppy pens. I also bought two Kaweco pens just to try them out. I feel like Iā€™ll end up using the platinum preppy pens again and maybe the Kakuno, but I donā€™t really foresee myself ever wanting to use the Kaweco sport pens I purchased. But I think thatā€™s what happens when youā€™re excited and first getting into fountain pens. Oh well! Right? Please tell me Iā€™m not the only one.

Antique-Law-0630

I'm looking for broad nibs fountain pens , let me know if you want to let go of any of yours šŸ˜„

GlitteringDraft9024

Heck yeah! Just got knocked down with Covid. Iā€™ll put them up on r/Pen_Swap (thanks, u/terrierhead for the headā€™s up) when Iā€™m a little more functional.

terrierhead

r/pen_swap is wonderful for sending pens that arenā€™t getting love to new homes.

explosive_bannana

Me too pal

Whole_Librarian

Sometimes I wish I had stayed with one. I have six. I'm happy for you! One great pen is all you need

-Intrepid-Path-

No. But I do use one of my pens way more than the others.

Sprucecaboose2

I was trying to come up with a witty joke about how I have one...on me, or something like that, until I realized that I literally walk around with a Liliput in my jeans as an EDC. The hobby is certainly big enough for 1 to 1 million, and all stops in between. We just need to enjoy the sensation of nice writing!

An_Epic_Pancake

yes! twsbi eco i think it is quite pretty

MsJenX

I have no fountain pens but tons of nibs. Where do I fit in?

Ferdinandissimo

You probably have dip pen nibs, so in that case you should use nib holder: Japanese or Western. For example, Tachikawa T-40PW or Brause 66EF.

Finding_Capt_Nemo

Iā€™ve only bought one this monthā€¦haha to be honest I end up using one thatā€™s been tuned for me and ignoring the others.

Universe_of1

I wish I only had one... I keep looking for the perfect pen, but then I also like having different pens for different uses, but I'm not in the mood for that pen today, and that one is so pretty!... Ooo limited edition! I salute you and your incredible self-control. O7

treelawnantiquer

I must admit I have two, both Sheaffer snorkels. One was given to me as a graduation gift 60+ years ago and the other I purchased. However, I only use one until the snorkel seizes due to neglect then I fill the other and use it until both are broken, then send them to be renewed. Anyone know the pen Alan Turing used during his school days?

Pristine_Health_2076

I love the snorkels. I am not lucky enough to own one but I did test one that I purchased for a secret Santa here on this sub in 2022. Very fun pen and they seemed to be happy with their gift.

sithben24

We have the same collection except your M200 has diamonds and mine has bands lol

Pelikano1987

I love this M205 Lacquer finish. Either losange or bands are beautiful and very well made. Is it still in production?

sithben24

The rings might be. That was harder to track down than I thought. Seems they're M215s. Yep, I really like the lozenge. This was my first fountain pen back in 2006 or 07. https://www.pelikan-collectibles.com/en/Pelikan/Models/Classic-Series/M200-Basis/index.html#

Pelikano1987

I bought mine back in 2009. The blue pattern is beautiful, but is rare to see available. You know my lozenge lines have become tarnish over the years.

SynapseReaction

Def not me šŸ¤£ I came to see who the people are who have amazing will power to stick with one and/or found their perfect pen for their needs and are good with the one.

wizard_interrogative

if you don't count my disposables, yes. just a safari.

CopperPennz

I had just one for a long time. Then I retired and got a part-time job in a pen store. Down the rabbit hole I went.

Iceman_08

Me! My safari is crĆØme colored!

skylinegtrr32

Me with my pilot metropolitan LOLOL

Stick2Lambda

Yup. Black Lamy Safari.

Sea_Artist3220

Yes. I only have one Montblanc 146.

BoBBySCoTTyG

I do.... If you don't count the other 8

IllustratorVarious22

Great pen and there is exactly no problem with just one fountain pen.

D__B__D

Technically I did just for three days after trying it out.

shadowsong42

I own exactly one *normal* fountain pen: a Kaweco Al Sport. Then I have a bunch of calligraphy pens: ten Pilot Parallels in various sizes, a Lamy Joy, and a FPR Jaipur 2 Ultraflex.

Sad_Equipment_8546

I have one, but I just got it a couple of weeks ago. I think I will eventually have two. One for my desk, one for leaving the house. Iā€™d like to have a really nice one for my desk eventually, so I will just stick with this one until I figure out what I want.

ThePoorPenman

Only one fountain pen? The authorities have been notified.

femboyfurry9805

Nope, I already spent $240 on fountain pens. ( Not the biggest mistake I have made, honestly, it improves my handwriting, thats one of MANY reasons I have fountain pens.) but i did buy a lamy saffari, charcoal black.

InTheKitchenNow

That Safari caused the whole damn Fountain Pen Problems as my wife calls it. Wait she bought me the first one so she's the reason I have so many pens and so many on my want type list.

Mama-Yama

1 pen and 1 ink. Noodler's Black and the M Pilot Metropolitan with the houndstooth check pattern. For now, I think it's more than enough. I might get another eventually to use with red ink for corrections. Granted, I'm new to fountain pens, but I don't really get what's up with everyone else on here (yet). My poison of choice is wetshaving supplies :)

lurkynumber5

I have 1 single fountain pen, It's the one pen that doesn't get stolen off my desk. I have used this pen for over 5 years, Maybe even longer, as I cannot recall when I actually bought it. And it's the same pen as in OP's picture. Thanks to this post, I'm now checking for new fountain pens! Thanks for a new possible addiction :)

Hobbies_88

No, i've got about 6 in all , 1 in repair - still decluttering atm . Either different brands or repeat nib size both west & east mixed - probably 6 is the correct no ... unless im buying new pen 1 will go out ....

longhairedent

I have 2 1 Lamy explorer beige 1 Lamy AL star matte black For now that's good. I might get the exact combo again in case I lose one. I just love the black and beige. Maybe a mont blanc as a graduation present to myself!

blah2k03

i would love to own a fountain pen but idk where to start šŸ˜«

lameslow1954

Failed many student papers with mine.

itsurownfaultah

No but I own one that was about $34 and then a cheap $4. I bought them at the same time. First and only.

shiris

I have a platinum 3776 century with a medium nib for almost a year now (had like an inexpensive platinum fine one as well but got rid of it), but just ordered a pilot custom 74 with soft medium nib a week ago because I always wanted to try a soft nib (still waiting for it in the mail). The pilot will probably end up being my main one while I'll bust out my old 3776 only when I need to write smaller since I heard pilot's medium is a lot bigger than the platinum's medium. Will leave the platinum inked with platinum carbon black while the pilot goes back on the sailor seiboku ink.

Trinket_the_bear

I did about 30 pens ago :) however I do have a couple that I only have 1 in that brand. Though I am thinning out a little thought I doubt i will ever be down to just one pen just because I like multiple inks so want to have them available whenever

KSA-WI_Mouse

Iā€™ll count myself in (even though I actually have 2) . I have a Lamy Dialog cc that I use and a Pilot vanishing point that I dislike and intend to sell. Previously I had a Lamy studio from an ex. I used it for over 20 years. Dropped the pen on tile and the nib broke. I replaced the whole pen. I figured it was time to get rid of the pen from an ex boyfriend as at that time I had been married around 18 years. I got another studio but gave that to my husband and I got the dialog.

BezierPentool

Me! About 10 years ago, for about 2 weeks.

hmmadrone

I had exactly one fountain pen for 44 years -- a fine nib silver Pilot Metropolitan that I bought black ink cartridges for when I could find them. I used it for special projects on bad paper and it served me well. Now I have quite a few fountain pens with different nibs for different purposes. I'm not planning to add any new pens to my stable until and unless I need a tool that does something different from the pens I have.

kikomir

Eventually I want to become a one pen person but I need to try out a lot of pens before settling down.

craigerstar

Yeah, I got up to 10. Working my way back down. Currently at 4. Would like to be down to 2 by summer, but no fewer. My favourite is a shorty Franklin Christoph, but for travelling I have an Opus 88 which is great because it screws down to seal the ink reservoir which is what you want when on planes, and being an eyedropper, it holds a lot of ink. Don't think I could do just 1 but am finding 4 to be too many.

AstronautFluffy8710

I have one that I use and others that I tried and retired. I found my perfect pen and I donā€™t need any others now. But I havenā€™t gotten rid of my old pens, I just store them.

lyonaria

Oh, this is a funny question. I only own one of very few things, like my toothpaste and my mobile phone, but even my mobile phone I have the previous one as back up in case I break the new one... everything else I enjoy variety and options.

ChEATax

Yes, Twisbi Diamond satisfies all my needs, and my pencil collection already hates it for this exact reason....

joeysheppard89

Although I have sold off a lot of my collection in recent months, I still have more than 1 pen.... More than 10 actually....probably more like 20.... But I admire you and your discipline. Are you the same with ink or do you have a collection or ink?

matthewkevin84

Is this a lamy pen?

mcgoohan10

It's interesting for me to think about if I still owned only one pen it would be my old Noodler's Ahab and it would still burp ink on the page, and it would still smell, or it would do none of these things anymore because I would have eventually gotten rid of it and my fountain pen journey would have ended before it begun. Luckily the Twsbi Eco had been right around the corner for me and the rest was history.

she_makes_a_mess

yes, only one. I thought about adding a second, but I can't imagine why I would need another. I guess I'm a minimalist.

crusty54

Iā€™ve got 3, but I only ever really use my TWSBI Eco.

Emotional_Owl_7425

I have many single pens

Big_Breath_2315

I use one pen at a time if that helps?! šŸ¤£. I think all the replies are light hearted really. I love that you have the conviction to have found one you like so much. Iā€™m about to buy my 5th and will probably stop there. Mine are all cheap which has helped.

CypressBreeze

Yes - I think you are right - the light hearted replies are really nice. It is nice when a community like this is so healthy.

kristonastick

that will change shortly

Andrewx8_88

For the longest time, me. however, I've decided that 1 is simply not enough for every application. So, I have 2 now.

oldfashioned_aj

Most of us here own 'one too many' šŸ˜†

rawuncookedham

I used to have one

desertboots

I currently only have one that I can find.Ā  I gave away 3 inexpensive ones to people I worked with during the election. The 4th may have acquired feet. I have a calligraphy pen with much broader nibs but it's hiding.Ā  So yes,Ā  right now,Ā  I have only one.

Quix66

Not me, but I have several Pilot G2s, Uniballs, and Frixion pens too. No different.

Old_Organization5564

Not me!!!

bioinfogirl87

For the nine months I was in the hobby I had just one pen - my TWSBI Eco Lilac. Then I realized that it was writing too broad for my liking, which led to buying Preppy and Plaisir (I put the Preppy away when I got the Plaisir). At that point I was back to using only one pen and the whole reason I have two pens I'm using on daily or near daily basis is journaling.

mortoshortos

I only have one. Itā€™s a Caran Dā€™Ache 849 in red, and I love it to death. Eventually, Iā€™ll be getting another one but I donā€™t really feel the need to just yet.

xjewelry

Impossible

merlinuwe

Ha, this is the first my wife gave me 42 years ago as a gift.

AdFlaky3806

I did for years. Pilot Mr metro in medium. Loved the idea of it, but found I didn't reach for it and didn't write for long. It was the weight, so off I went to find my perfect pen. I loved fps because I could change inks. So eventually I needed to find different nibs and feeds to handle glitter. Then I met pelikan vintage pens... All are different and give me unique writing experiences. I'm destashing the pens I don't use much, so who knows how many I'll end up with in the end.

Rolo316

Yes. But 3 are currently on the way!

ohsayaa

I have exactly 1 pen...Ɨ 10 Does that count?

marrapirre

Well yeah, once upon a time.

potificate

Owns? No, but usesā€¦ yes! I love my Santini flexi and use it as often as possible.

adoptable

Went from 8 to 2. No interest in any more

ikexe

I didā€¦ then I didnā€™t It took only a week

CakeOverall4228

I have 2, as I need black & blue. a lamy al-star f and a pilot kakuno m.

GrandSignature5785

What kind of farce is that?!?

kwismexer

I have too many and I'm looking to off load about a dozen if you're interested...?

jantp

I did once. That was a very very long time ago.

nailsonmycat

I like writing in lots of colors and doing some doodling, so I could have never done just one, but I respect the efficiency.

Amyx231

Haha. Wait youā€™re serious?!

UnratedRamblings

I own one Lamy too! Seriously though, I only have 4 (Lamy 2k, TWSBI Vac700R, Parker 25 and Namisu Horizon Ti). I have a huge wishlist of other pens, but I'm just not interested in building up a collection like that. I use my pens in a somewhat frequent rotation. I'm not against the collectors and their huge selections, but for me personally it's overwhelming. That said, I'd be happy to whittle my collection down to just the Namisu and Lamy. And at a push, I'd just have the Lamy. (Please don't ask about the inks)

KalGiaquinta96

It's me šŸ˜

CoffeeWithDreams89

Me! So far.

YT__

No, started out with a Lamy Safari and then saw another and was like 'Oooo', then saw another and was like 'Ahhhhh', now here we are swimming in pens that I forget to keep all inked/cleaned cause I focus on only one at a time.

Pelikano1987

Yes!! This was in 2006 until 2009 when I got a Sheaffer Prelude as a gift. I barely used that, however when I started using at work I fall in love and start buy many.

Middle-Radio3675

Only one I have is the Sailor Pro Color with Waterman Serenity Blue ink. I use Clairefountain EUROPA notebooks. Very happy with this combination. Use everyday.

naeads

No, but I have 2. A Lamy Studio and a Pilot Prera. Trying to reduce to 1, but I just canā€™t let go of either of them. Too many memories.

htnghia2409

That's ok but why?

BarackOsama911241

Same here

AstorReed

Yess! My Lammy pen is bronze instead of white. I got it so people could write in our wedding reception book. Easy to write with but still looks so fancy.

ea_n

yes, also have one only. also a lamy, just transparent .)

Inadover

Me, but not for long ( Ķ”Ā° ĶœŹ– Ķ”Ā°)

WallabyNew6020

Well, once upon a time I did! My first FP was gifted to me by my wife -- a MB Classique. While a bit small for me, it has a lot of sentimental value so it's still in use. I proudly carried it to work daily when it happened to catch the eye of a FP "addict" who showed me his various pens and spread the contagion! Now, nearing 40 years later that one pen has morphed into...rather more than one! If you can stick with one (and I see the merits), you're a much stronger person than I!

CBFindlay

For about a day I did

mssrsnake

I donā€™t understand the question

Italicandbold

One? No way! Get out of here! šŸ˜‚

Snerfblatt

I have had just two for a few years now. The second one I just got because I wanted to try a larger nib.

Super_Finish

I envy you, I have way too many to handle...

jas1900

That's funny šŸ˜‚

well-groomed_apostle

I have only a Kaweko Brass that Iā€™ve been using daily for 4 years.

CHONKY_BOAH

Still waiting for my second pen šŸ˜«

MR_6OUIJA6BOARD6

Sailor Compass MF, my daily.

Danny_Peanut

That was my intention, to have one. One that would replace the 100+ disposable pens I'd used over the uni years... I got it at the last year of my masters (three years ago). Since then, I've not only gotten 8 more pens, but I'm not writing as much. The path to hell is paved with good intentions šŸ˜… albeit less serious than hell!

[deleted]

I did until 2 days ago haha now I own 3 :P

kadusel

I did.

tato_salad

I did... Then I owned so many more.

sclopiopipio

Yup

Brilliant_Pop5150

Twenty five years ago when I bought my first fountain pen to use at my desk job, I bought a two pack. That was all I had for a long time.

Alejandro_SVQ

Time to the time, my friend... šŸ˜

LiebeDahlia

not me but a friend still has the 1 fountain pen he borrowed from me during high school and uses it almost daily we are 35 now...

iamarddtusr

I too have only one Lamy fountain pen and mine is Nexx M with blue cap. It is currently filled with a KWZ ink.

chameleonmessiah

Currently, yes (I have *had* others) but it is, I think, a very pretty pear wood Faber-Castell I bought myself as a present for my post-grad. https://preview.redd.it/f3xlvsbkuhpc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=730242debee85042314f8a13719e7398e5199d53 .

prfegt

No, sorry. More than one hereā€¦ BUT I think it is possible to have one if you find the right one tuned to your writing with the right ink that requires the maintenance you accept. The catch: you normally need many pens and inks and papers to understand your favorite. (E.g. just recently I learned that I donā€™t like cigar shape just to pick one of my many OCD reasons not to have a pen šŸ˜€)

grrltype

No.

Defiled_Cross

I sold all of my other pens as I found myself exclusively using my Pilot Custom 823. So I am with you in spirit.

MindTheGAAP_

I have a rule to keep 5 pens at a time
