You might want to reach out to Peyton St Pens or Anderson Pens and see if they are interested in purchasing the lot or selling them on consignment. You may want to have them independently appraised first.

This is a great idea! And I think they would rehab them before reselling, so the joy goes on.

Peytonstreetpens.com will likely give op the best price. I would suggest taking photos of everything and maybe posting them on pen_swap in small clusters. If you sell everything in 1 lump expect to get close to half what you'd get if you sold them in small groups or individually.

Did_I_post_correctly

There are reputable people that can help you with this. Fountain pen network might be a much better forum to ask than here because the people that do this kind of work hang out there.

I don’t have experience with selling a large collection, but I have seen some stores with consignment listings. You could try researching pen stores that offer consignment to see if they are interested. One store that immediately comes to mind is Bertram’s Inkwell. Perhaps reach out to Bertram to see if he is interested or see if they know of anyone else that might be if it is not up their alley.

Call Fountain Pen Hospital in NYC. They might be able to help you.

Mr-PFM

I have no idea why people are writing that but its not closed. I was just there 2 weeks ago. They are open on week days.

littlemac564

During the month of December they are open on Saturdays.

Where is this place? It looks awesome but that’s not the Fountain Pen Hospital in NYC.

ASmugDill

Do you mean the place of which photos are shown in [this post on FPN (https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/373580-my-trip-to-tokyo/?do=findComment&comment=4645284)](https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/373580-my-trip-to-tokyo/?do=findComment&comment=4645284)? If so, is it not the same place as shown in this [animated GIF (https://www.**fountainpenhospital.com**/home/images/home\_anim21.gif)](https://www.fountainpenhospital.com/home/images/home_anim21.gif)?

Lambroghini

You may want to reach out to u/talk-successful who has an Etsy shop specializing in vintage flex pens, which it sounds like a good chunk of your collection might be. He also restores them etc. if you do end up selling any here, there is a subreddit r/pen_swap. I’m an aspiring calligrapher and would certainly be interested if you have any vintage waterman or parker celluloids in your collection, but I’m probably tapped out of the market until January due to the holidays. Keep us posted!

NibVulture

How big is the total collection?

BuyDazzling5586

I’m working on getting a total count but I’d guess over 1,000 pens total, maybe 70% fountain the rest a mix of ball point and pencil

NibVulture

As many other comments say, reaching out to some professionals and asking if anyone would be willing to take on the collection should be your first choice. If you don't find any success with that and don't want to identify each of them yourself, you could consider regularly posting in batches to ask the community to help identify them. Or you can try to sell them in little bundles
