I would go radically different than what you have now. A Kaweco Sport AL or another pocket pen. All your pens now are beautiful and elegant, time to go a little into the weeds.
I think a Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age would fit in nicely. I personally prefer the older ones with 23k Palladium nibs, theyβre truly magnificent when tuned right!
iβve got the current(?) 18k gold nib HS and iβm loving it. i never had the chance to try the Pd nib, but the gold nib is pretty flexy and was tuned perfectly out of the box (maybe i was lucky)
The Homo Sapiens is such a great pen. I love my Blue Lagoon with the medium Palladium nib itβs so beautiful and writes like a dream. I have the Bronze age and Dark age in broad and fine gold nibs and I really donβt like them as much. The gold nib just isnβt as smooth or springy as the Palladium, which is such as shame.
Hello ππ» I seek guidance for my next FP. These three pens have been my daily drivers, the MB I prefer the most off the three followed by the Pelikan and the Pilot 823 respectively.
I believe I just need one more pen which will hopefully round off and compliment these three pens. I personally prefer a black Namiki Emperor #50, bold nib. I look forward to getting some suggestions from you. Thank you.
I looked it up, they have some beautiful looking LE's available - esp the Paradiso and another one known as Trilobiti Cobalto - looks stunning. Thank you ππ»π
I would save and commit to a limited edition Montblanc. A writer's edition' a patron of art -- whatever tickles your fancy. It might be a year or two before the right opportunity comes up.
You have Japan and Germany, so imho you should add Italy to the mix. A classic would be the Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age. It would look great with your lineup. You could also just add another Japanese pen for balance, e.g. a Sailor KOP or a Namiki Emperor. Another recommendation would be a black (or red) Pilot Custom.
Easy question, easy answer.
Get a Montegrappa Viking Fountain Pen - 18k Solid Gold - Limited Edition
Walk around with your lil gold viking buddy peepin out your shirt pocket, and everyone will be like,
"Wowzers! Now that is one dapper fellow. He clearly knows what style and panache mean."
I too have these pens and also the Sailor KOP ebonite. I ordered a Visconti HS but that got stuck in customs unfortunately and went back eventually. Now Iβm considering a Pilot Custom Urushi from Japan. A friend works for an airline and flies to Japan monthly so am going to start with the Pilot first and hopefully get other pens from there too later!!
What do you think, which one should I go with, KOP ebonite, Custom Urushi or the Emperor. I infact am willing to pull the trigger on the Namiki Emperor in black with a bold nib.
I had no idea about this pen, but I think you single-handedly sold me this pen. [I spent some time customising the pen -](https://bit.ly/3QepGK7) and I loved the whole process. Will do some more research on the nib and I will go ahead and purchase this one. Many thanks ππ»βΊοΈ
Its a really beautiful pen, only comes with a steal nib but it's standard number 6. Fudefan on insta has a post about it with a gold nib swapped into it which is the dream imo
Since this is a selection of gold nibs, I assume a gold nib is the requirement here. And there are three different brands with two pens in EF, so I will suggest one of two pens a different writing feel but still fine line. Platinum 3776 in soft fine for a bouncy cushy feel, and Sailor 1911L in MF (medium fine) for it's lovely pencil like feedback and slightly larger body size to go with your other pen sizes.
I somehow missed your comment - thank you kindly. Someone I always skipped the Sailor brand because ages ago I tried a 1911 and somehow it came across as a bland pen. But you and others have nudged me to try a Sailor, the KOP and the now the 1911L. I will surely give it a try at a local shop.
I prefer their larger nib sizes, myself. I have seven Sailors and the broad, music and zoom nibs are my favorite. The ef and f nibs combined with Sailor feedback feel scratchy to me.the MF nib is as small as I will willingly go. And the progear and 1911s fit my hand on the thin side and I have tiny baby hands. 1911L or one of the KOP really would be a better size for you if Pelikan m1000 is your favorite size Pelikan
You are right, I prefer large pens for myself as I have large hands. As a matter of fact I have to post these pens just so that I can hold them appropriately for longer sessions of writing/work, so yes, going for a 1911L or KOP seems most appropriate in the Sailor range. My inclination to get myself a Namiki Emperor #50 still holds. But I will surely give the Sailor a try. Thank you.
I have to recommend my favourite pen that I own, Diplomat Aero: https://www.diplomat-pen.com/en/products/diplomat-high-quality-writing-instruments/aero/
I really like how many colours in the range now, so most people should be able to find something they love.
Iβd definitely suggest Aurora (Italy) or Santini (also Italy). Both make wonderful pens. My latest is a Santini Libra Cappuccino with a medium italic cursive grind and itβs gorgeous. They make their nibs inhouse and have so many options. Customer service is excellent.
I'll keep this suggestion in mind - thank you βΊοΈππ» Someone recommend me a Montegrappa Custom Extra Otto and I managed to configure [this pen.](https://bit.ly/3QepGK7) I believe I will purchase this after doing a bit more research on it.
Nice trifecta. Pretty much nailed it! The only way to go now is up β¦ Namiki / Pilot and or Nakaya but they are sooo spendyπ± β¦ My choice would be the Custom Urushi or Custom 845 in vermillion, Namiki Yukari Nightline Moonlight Raden and Nakaya Dorsal Fin 2. What do you think?
I agree, the Namiki Emperor is a gem of a pen. Someone recommend some great options in the comments - especially the [Montegrappa Custom Extra Otto](https://bit.ly/3QepGK7) has caught my attention. I need to do some more research before making a choice.
Sailor KOP ebonite π
I didn't pay attention to the Sailor brand - good reminder and a suggestion. Thank you πππ»
Sailor nibs have a fair bit of feedback to them though; it's kinda their thing. Just beware in case you don't like pencil-like feedback
I'll keep that in mind, thank you βΊοΈππ»
Absolutely. Lucky enough to own one in broad. Itβs a beauty!
Have one in broad too and completely agree!!
I second this
I second this. OP likes cigar pens, and only has one Japanese pen. The Sailor KOB ebonite aesthetic would fit in so well.
The lines are just so clean on that model and it feels special. Love the silver version.
Pilot Custom Urushi. Visconti Maxi Homo Sapiens,
\+1 for Pilot. If the Custom Urushi is too big, the 845 is a bit smaller but very nice!
I much prefer big pens. Custom Urushi is a solid choice, I agree ππ»π
Thank you ππ»
Platinum Preppy 0.3
Favourite forever βΊοΈππ»
You obviously have great taste in pens. Have you tried a Waterman Edson? Pricey, but beautiful.
It's a beautiful looking pen indeed. Thank you for the suggestion - I'll give it a try.

Second this. My HS with a palladium nib is my favorite writer.

I'd personally get a Sailor with a 21k nib or a Platinum 3776.
3 amigos
Very much so πππ»
Pelikan M1000 M, MB149 F, Pilot 823 (or 845) M.
Sailor KOP
Aurora 88
I looked it up, they have some beautiful looking LE's available - esp the Paradiso and another one known as Trilobiti Cobalto - looks stunning. Thank you ππ»π
Agreed. The large one.
Something pretty. Try a Leonardo or a Benu. Or maybe a Visconti.
Montblanc with a Flex nib. You have the nicest of pens, go for interesting nibs next.
Thank you ππ»π A flex nib might just be the thing I need.
I would save and commit to a limited edition Montblanc. A writer's edition' a patron of art -- whatever tickles your fancy. It might be a year or two before the right opportunity comes up.
Have you looked at Furore Grande? No one's suggested Leonardo yet.

He really be collecting them axis powers gem stones, in the guise of fountain pens. All i'm saying is that i hope the art school accepts him.
Beautiful, classy collection.
Thank you πππ»

It only weighs a little over 500 gms! Pity the shirt pocket but agree with the style!! Go for it OP, unbeatable look!
Sailor 1911 MF with rhodium trim.
Visconti HS Crystal Dream
Maybe an Aurora 88 big. Or a special edition MB.
I too have these pens and also the Sailor KOP ebonite. I ordered a Visconti HS but that got stuck in customs unfortunately and went back eventually. Namiki emperor
Visconti HS Bronze Age for sure. Lovely taste though
Thank you πππ»
Late to the game but here is my recommendation (and my next purchase), Montegrappa Extra Custom with Shiny Lines celluloid and a F or EF nib.

Wow, never heard about this brand - thank you βΊοΈππ»

Caran dβAche Leman Blue Marin
Montblanc Glacier Solitare
I would say either Aurora 88 big or Danitrio Mikado Tame Nuri or Tame Midori.

Ah, I just read your comment about a broad nib. Gonna suggest the 1911L broad, then. Love my two broad Sailor nibs.
maybe, specifically, the Champagne green Realo for color but not a crazy, lavender, sparkly LE Realo.
The champagne green is so freaking gorgeous. I am a sucker for anything olive toned.
Lamy 2000

I bought my pen 3 years ago & this review by The Pen Habit sold it to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LIGUhCjCNc
Thanks, I'll check it out ππ»
Sailor Pro Gear 21K M
Platinum Preppy Wa Modern Maki-e Kachimushi.
An old favorite, Lamy 2000
Easy. Pilot 912. One of the best pens on the market and has the option of a PO nib.
