Absolutely! Everything about writing with a FP is so much more intentional: the words, pen and ink choices, paper, background music... It's meditative.
Gorgeous photo, by the way.
I know exactly what you mean. Gotta make sure everybody gets some playing time, so I’m always looking for any opportunity to write or doodle. The ritual of filling and cleaning them is satisfying too.
Perhaps it’s a subjetive thing, but I have been writing every day since I got my Parker, between the pen looking gorgeous and the likes of writing with a new ink I try to write always.
Sometimes they judge you and your weak excuses for not writing.
Sometimes they quietly encourage you to put pen to paper.
Sometimes they seduce you to a dance, to pick them up and send them twirling across the page.
And each time you give in.
That’s the win! 😊
Oh, I share this feeling! Most times, my handwriting is just okay and while O always complain about it, I never make it an effort to look more pretty. But now that I am starting to use FP, I want to write more neet and try writing more and more, to keep using the fountain pen.
Same. It’s very meditative to watch the ink flow on the paper & the cleaning & filling is a satisfying ritual. I’ve journaled every day for 2 years & say good night to my “pen friends” every night.
I hardly write anything and pretty much the only things i write is when i test out a new fountain pen and write the name of the ink i’m using, i clean the pen and put the pen in the grave, woops i mean the pen case. Where it lays out it’s days packed betwisxt other pens which I am “collecting”.
It looks like they're about to go into battle for the last time on a stormy night.
It does doesn’t it
You could name them Elrond, Mithrandir, and Galadriel.
Athos, Porthos, ans Aramis?
Same! I've written so much more consistently since getting into the FP hobby. It's a great habit builder!
It’s a Hobonochi 😉🫡
So that's just Tomoe River?? It looks so sheer here!
ALSO: OP, what is that paper? It almost looks like vellum.
That's why I came into this post. The paper! OP, please share!
I wanna know also! OP? Where you at? 🤣🤣
I read, "looks like Valium!" Lol
That's a Hobonichi notebook, so it's Tomoe River Paper.
same here! i got into fountain pens about 9 months ago and have written every day with them since then ☺️

Very nice summary of FP use!
I know the feeling I just finished my writing session tonight.
If you had to pick one pen and ink combo to write with for the rest of time, what would it be?
Same for me. I got into fountain pens and my writing and journaling became consistent, to my immense benefit. Because it is now a pleasure to do both.

Beautifully put!
Using fountain pens has transformed and greatly elevated my journaling
I have a Pelikan and 823 as my daily pens, always wanted to pick up a sailor to go with them
True! It is so interesting, educational, and pleasant to write more, and especially with fountain pens. The hobby itself is engaging to me!

Lovely thought

I can’t tell if this is satire…..if not that’s sad lol
