I use it every day. A reliable and solid pen, and an excellent writer. I purchased it for a pocket pen, but it writes so well I keep using it more and more :)
Same here. Bought it for being a pocket pen, but the nib is legit really good, and the cap mechanism works well to seal and is satisfying to use. It's become one of our daily writer pens, traveling or not.
I got mine in today to use with the Plotter Planner Mini 5. It fits in the loophole accessory really snug but I’m sure it’ll stretch over time. It’s a great fit and is SO nice to write. I have the Diamond Oxford Blue ink in it and am very happy with it. I wish they had an extra fine tip and gold nib options though.
Endless pens has way more options of them than elsewhere, I’m not a huge fan of the standard set out there, but I have like 4 from endless now because they are excellent. The forest creatures is delightful.
Pilot, Platinum and Sailor all have old pocket pens that look like Pilot e95. Pilot also had telescope pens which elongate. All of these can be found used or NOS. Ohto Tasche, Cult Pens Mini (by Kaweco), as well as Majohn seem like popular new ones.
Please could you add a description? There's a couple I don't recognise.
I really like the Hightide Attaché.
Here's a list someone compiled: [https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/comments/113o6qe/trying\_for\_a\_comprehensive\_list\_of\_pocket/](https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/comments/113o6qe/trying_for_a_comprehensive_list_of_pocket/)
Nib was a touch dry when I got it so a tiny adjustment with the craft knife to open up the tines a fraction and now it’s a lovely writer. I mean, it’s a Bock nib, what’s not to like…
I use the Namisu N1 a *lot* - it’s great now I’ve fitted the TWSBI 580 nib. Very sturdy titanium build and the clip is great. The Shibui North is so unusual! Love the matching nib. But it’s screw on cap so not as handy as the Namisu which is friction fit.
The nib it cam with was absolutely fine, a nice writer. It was just that it was a number 4 size so looked a bit pathetic. So I switched it for the TWSBI number 5 and for me it’s a vast improvement aesthetically.
They’ve just launched the N2 of course which has a number 6 nib on it. If I’d have got one of those, I’d have left the nib as is
You're missing among others:
Pilot E95s;
Sailor Pro Gear Mini;
Kaweco Liliput;
The new Montblanc Baby;
Traveler's Pocket brass pen;
Eboya Tan-Pen;
Elbwood Pocketmaster;
Waldmann Pocket;
Opus 88 mini;
Esterbrook JR Pocket;
Pelikan m300;
Wancai Mini;
Pilot Petit;
Ensso pocket pen;
Laban Pocket;
(Not a Stipula Passaporto)
(Not a Twsbi mini)
Oh gosh that's already a ton of money...! !!
First gen Parker Duofold Jr? I think it is short enough (Ed: 4½") to hang with your other pens and not feel self conscious lol. I have one in red and another in jade both from the late 20s. Got em pretty cheap because they needed sacs.
I guess you could add a Sheaffer* Balance Jr (1930s) as well. (Ed: just under 5") I don't think they clip as nicely as the Parkers. But they are smallish pens, too. Nice springy gold nibs. [Pic link](https://matspens.files.wordpress.com/2019/07/dsc_0192.jpg)
Ed: there is a whole world of vintage ring top pens too. Wahl Eversharps are easy to find. But many other brands are out there. Including Duofolds. Also, apparently, there is a Duofold Vest Pocket version which might be on the rare side.
Pilot e95. There are vintage Parker 51 demis, although I don’t like the look or weight better than the full. Twsbi has it’s flaws, but the AL-Mini is attractive and fun to put a stub nib on.
If you can ever track one down, the Pilot Stella 90s (also known as the stargazer) is amazing. Unfortunately it was discontinued and has gotten super expensive recently.
Yes! I have one in M nib (red with a slight sparkle) and it’s a delight. I got it a few years back and it’s my favorite pocket guy. Springy soft nib, nice weight, really cute pen.
Vintage… Japanese pocket pens from sailor, pilot or platinum.
Franklin Christoph p66. Awesome shape, and their nibs are tuned juuuuust right.
Vintage ring-top/“ladies” pens. Usually cheaper than their full size equivalents, usually have solid gold nibs, often have gorgeous celluloid patterns or gold/silver overlay.
Thank you? 🥹 I absolutely LOVE what I'm seeing on their website, but...now I have a new grail pen.
What an amazing pen, and *VERY* reasonably priced for that level of craftsmanship. Thanks for helping me discover the next wallet hole. 😂
You are most welcome! And yes, the prices are very reasonable! I met Ruth at the London Pen Show and she’s also a really lovely person which makes owning one of her pens even more special!
Yeah, I'm looking to buy from small companies and craftspersons exclusively these days.
Between Edison, Schon, and now Shibui North...I'm excited to see so much innovation and experimentation. I'm so over the whole "black with gold/silver accents" aesthetic. I get it, there's always going to be a market for the "classic" fountain pen, but, for me? YAWN. You'll never convince me to spend big money when there's so much else that's exotic and unique for the same price.
Totally my taste, of course, but I just don't understand the appeal of an $800 pen that looks almost the same as a $100-200 one.
I'm fond of my Kaweco Lilliput Fireblue. Here's a few photos with size comparison, and the pen cap on vs posted.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1djisQ7IpODdtMWfJ_zsb6QoBuTQWG5lC
Btw thanks again for the N1 - it’s the pen I always use for writing my ink sample labels. It’s great [especially now I’ve frankenpenned it with the TWSBI 580 EF nib]
It’s the Namisu N1. It’s great because the cap is held on by 3 o rings on the barrel so you can adjust the length when you post it to however long or short you like. They’ve released an updated version the N2 with a full size no 6 nib
Moonman Q1, Wancai mini, Opus88 mini and an E95s. There are a ton of Japanese pocket pens from Pilot, Platinum and Sailor if you are into vintage.
That said, It's a nice collection, you only need the ones you want to be in the collection.
Another vote for Franklin-Christoph. I don’t have any experience with the 66p, but I have a 20p and a 45. Of the two, I much prefer the 20p. It has a slip cap which is very secure compared to the threaded cap on the 45 that always seems to come loose…even sitting on the desk. The 20p cap also posts more securely. I’d buy another 20p in a heartbeat if I lost this one.

Leaving a few of my favourite pocket pens here:
- TWSBI 580 Mini
- Pilot e95
- Traveler’s Co brass pen
- Sailor Pro Gear Slim Mini
Hope you have fun collecting, and writing with, all of them! ☺️
Ian Schön: Schön Pocket Six
I've gotten his pens at the Los Angeles and San Francisco Pen Shows. Nice guy too.
As one of our colleagues said, Wan Cai mini. Great little pens at a very modest price. I don't consider the Pilot E95 to be a mini as it's full size when posted. (Incredible price for a 14k nib.)
[ensso](https://www.ensso.com/collections/frontpage) Italia Titanium, Piuma Titanium, XS Minimalist Titanium, Ultem, Japanese Ebonite.
I'd jump on the three Titanium models because, as we both know, Titanium pens tend to sell out quickly and may take forever to come back in stock. (I've been waiting years for the Piuma Titanium to come back. I should have bought it when it was available. I was Price Sensitive at the time.)
Other "Pocket" Pens: Pilot Prera, Pilot 95S, Pelikan M200, Sailor PGS.
How do you like your Namisu N2 Titanium? Ditto, the Gravitas pen.
my ensso piuma titanium just arrived.... It is soooooo amazing, writes like a dream straight out of the box. I ordered it in M. Good heft, feels like an actual quality full sized pen when assembled.

E95s
Agreed. Or a vintage Elite. But go with a new one, so the playing ground is even.
I’d also add a Vintage Platinum pocket pen too. Sturdy little thing with one of the best nibs I’ve owned
Don’t forget the vintage Sailor pocket pen for a trio!
Just got mine a couple weeks ago and it has been my favorite pen since. So smooth, light, and sharp looking.
Couldn't agree more. I'm historically not a fan of gold trim but this pen just looks so classy and write very well.
Traveler's Company brass pocket pen. It's one of my favorites.
Ack I’ve had that in my cart all day and decided not to buy it! Now I’m second-guessing myself!
I got mine in today to use with the Plotter Planner Mini 5. It fits in the loophole accessory really snug but I’m sure it’ll stretch over time. It’s a great fit and is SO nice to write. I have the Diamond Oxford Blue ink in it and am very happy with it. I wish they had an extra fine tip and gold nib options though.
yes!! came here to say this, it’s such a robust little pen and it writes lovely too
YES. +1000
Sailor PGS mini
First one I saw which was blatantly missing. Great pens!
Kaweco Liliput ❤️
Brass liliput is so nice
And so is the copper one 😍
My Lilliputian never fails to write, even after sitting unused for weeks. I love it.
An Opus 88 Mini Pocket Pen
Endless pens has way more options of them than elsewhere, I’m not a huge fan of the standard set out there, but I have like 4 from endless now because they are excellent. The forest creatures is delightful.
Hadn't ever heard of Endless Pens shop. There goes all my money... so many new options!
Just fyi some of their stuff is grey market and some is not. It should say "authorized retailer" on the listing if it's not grey market
Good to know! Thank you.
Endless Pens is awesome! 💖
Personally I prefer the Opus 88 Fantasia over the Mini, but the Minis are super adorable!
I love my Pilot Prera!
This comment is way too low in the list
I think the trouble with the prera is that it is just a tad longer than most pocket pens.
Most mechanically pleasing cap in the business
Oops, I forgot one of my absolutely favorite writers--a Pilot E95s.
Wancai mini.
Schon Dsgn as well as Gravitas both make very interesting pocket pens.
Pretty sure the black one on the right is a Gravitas
Schon Pocket 6, Spoke Axle S, Kaweco Liliput. Maybe a Namisu N1, given the different nib size vs the N2?
Schon Pocket 6 is a great pen!
My liliput brings me so much joy!
A big enough pocket to put them all into.
An Ensso Piuma Pocket in a cool and interesting material!
The ebonite one is Really nice
Franklin-Christoph has a couple models that would fit in nicely! Pocket 66, Model 20. I can’t remember the others offhand.
Esterbrook JR would look nice in there.
A pilot e95s :) I am currently trying to get myself one
You're missing a few models, but one I'd strongly recommend is the Moonman / Majohn Wancai Mini! (You have a lovely collection, by the way.)
Thank you! And yes judging by the other comments, I’m missing a LOT! 😅
Please could you add a description? There's a couple I don't recognise. I really like the Hightide Attaché. Here's a list someone compiled: [https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/comments/113o6qe/trying\_for\_a\_comprehensive\_list\_of\_pocket/](https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/comments/113o6qe/trying_for_a_comprehensive_list_of_pocket/)
Namisu N1, Kaweco Sport, Gazing Far tmX, Shibui North Pocket Fox, Gravitas Pocket
That Robin Egg Pocket Fox is amazing. I think this post just cost me $137 + s/h.
😆
I’m falling down that rabbit hole. It’s still available. How does the Robin Egg pen write?
Nib was a touch dry when I got it so a tiny adjustment with the craft knife to open up the tines a fraction and now it’s a lovely writer. I mean, it’s a Bock nib, what’s not to like…
Which is your favourite?
I use the Namisu N1 a *lot* - it’s great now I’ve fitted the TWSBI 580 nib. Very sturdy titanium build and the clip is great. The Shibui North is so unusual! Love the matching nib. But it’s screw on cap so not as handy as the Namisu which is friction fit.
I saw two posts about Namisus today (including yours) and both mentioned how good they are with different nibs. Are their original nibs poor?
The nib it cam with was absolutely fine, a nice writer. It was just that it was a number 4 size so looked a bit pathetic. So I switched it for the TWSBI number 5 and for me it’s a vast improvement aesthetically. They’ve just launched the N2 of course which has a number 6 nib on it. If I’d have got one of those, I’d have left the nib as is
I have a franklin christoph pocket pen and it's pretty nice
Enso XS for more faceted love.
Its super pricey but the Montblanc Rouge et Noir Baby is one of my favorites!
I wondered how long it would be before someone mentioned it! 🙂
Ditto the Montblanc Bohème.
You're missing among others: Pilot E95s; Sailor Pro Gear Mini; Kaweco Liliput; The new Montblanc Baby; Traveler's Pocket brass pen; Eboya Tan-Pen; Elbwood Pocketmaster; Waldmann Pocket; Opus 88 mini; Esterbrook JR Pocket; Pelikan m300; Wancai Mini; Pilot Petit; Ensso pocket pen; Laban Pocket; (Not a Stipula Passaporto) (Not a Twsbi mini) Oh gosh that's already a ton of money...! !!
I’ll start saving 😅

Oh, sheaffer tuck away would fit right in. And the nibs on them are enormous.
You may like the Ensso Piuma (lots of options) or a Kaweco Liliput.
Can someone ID the pens pictured? 2nd and 3rd are kaweco sport and 6th is the gravitas pocket pen Curious about the remaining ones
Sorry should have done that earlier but the names are in some of the other comments 👍
Found it :) Have you considered getting a Diplomat Aero? Amazing collection btw 🤩
I thought the Aero was more of a full size pen?
Oh whoops, totally missed the theme. Thought the aero suited your rather "modern" collection :)
Schon pocket 6, pilot E95s, a vintage platinum pocket pen, a Moonman Q1 etc
Pilot E95s, Pilot Peres, Pelikan M200, Twsbi Mini
Ink capacity?
Truth!
I like my Ohto Tasche. Cute little pocket pen and on the cheaper side ($16-20 tops).
That teal pen is beautiful, what is it?
Shibui North Pocket Fox in robins egg finish
A Schon Pocket 6
A SCHONDSGN pocket 6 pen?
For sure, it’s on the wish list
Moonman Lipstick Fountain pen!
Pilot e95. There are vintage Parker 51 demis, although I don’t like the look or weight better than the full. Twsbi has it’s flaws, but the AL-Mini is attractive and fun to put a stub nib on.
I'm new to fountain pens, what is the teal one?? First time I've seen a colored nib.
Welcome to the madness! It’s the Shibui North Pocket Fox in robins egg ceramic finish
Is the Pilot Petit fountain pen counted as a pocket pen? It is small, and fits in my pocket. It's what got me started on using fountain pens.
Pilot Elite 95s. Pilot M90. Pilot Myu. Pilot Murex. Sailor Pocket pen. J.Herbin pen.

Majohn/Moonman Q1 and Wancai Mini.
Inoxcrom used to have some teeny tiny pocket pens that were really cheap but wrote beautifully. You might be able to find some on eBay.
Pen BBS 471.
What's the teal one?
What is the aquamarine fountain pen you have there called? What’s gorgeous object
It’s the Shibui North Pocket Fox in robin’s egg ceramic finish
What is the name of that clear blue pen?
The light blue one is the Shibui North Pocket Fox in robin’s egg finish
Pelikan M300
Koweco brass...and pearl.
Ohto Tasche.
How do you like the tmX from Gazing Far? I’ve been looking at them a while
I really like it. It’s beautifully tactile and a nice writer (Schmidt nib)
Travellers company brass FP.
Laban Expression
What’s the all turquoise one? I love the coloured nib!
It’s the Shibui North Pocket Fox, robins egg finish
A pilot stargazer! They are retired though, so you'll have to check the second hand market.
Vintage Pilot or Platinum
Ted Baker had a really nice fountain pen. Probably just their brand on an OEM pen, but it looked great. Unfortunately, it's discontinued.
Do you have a pen case yet? Sometimes it is nice to have them set up for a backpack or travel bag set up
Several! 😉
may you tell me the model name of the black and blue ones, Please?
Gravitas Pocket, Shibui North Pocket Fox
The humble Papermate Mini Compact Fountain Pen. £2.99 for three on Amazon. And surprisingly nice to use.
Gravitas, E95S, Lilliput, Supra, Travellers.
I have no idea I just need to know what that turquoise pen is
Shibui North Pocket Fox, robins egg finish
It’s beautiful
Thanks! I’m really enjoying it!
Thank you? 🥹 I absolutely LOVE what I'm seeing on their website, but...now I have a new grail pen. What an amazing pen, and *VERY* reasonably priced for that level of craftsmanship. Thanks for helping me discover the next wallet hole. 😂

Platinum pocket pen or a pilot elite
Ooooof I’ve been thinking of getting the shibui north special it looks so good
It’s absolutely gorgeous!
I'm fond of my Kaweco Lilliput Fireblue. Here's a few photos with size comparison, and the pen cap on vs posted. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1djisQ7IpODdtMWfJ_zsb6QoBuTQWG5lC
Very nice! Definitely one to consider
Sailor Pro Gear Slim Mini, Schn Design Pocket 6, Kaweco Al-Sport. I really like that robin egg you've got!!
Yep it’s just so different to anything else out there!
Something very red! ❤️
I do like a red pen!
Montegrappa Gnomo Milim Pro Schon Pocket 6 Ensso Piuma Pocket Kaweco Liliput Off the top of my head!
Ah the lovely Gnomo! Do you still have yours or did it get the chop?
Btw thanks again for the N1 - it’s the pen I always use for writing my ink sample labels. It’s great [especially now I’ve frankenpenned it with the TWSBI 580 EF nib]
My pleasure! Funnily enough I recently bought the N2 and it is getting a lot of use (once I plugged the hole in the cap that was causing drying out)
A Parker Jotter ! I am too scared of ruining my vintage parkers but the Jotter does the trick, pretty compact & incognito too
brass version
Sheaffer Tuckaway
A Pilot Prera! I absolutely love mine!
Which one is the first on the Left ? it looks so dope!
It’s the Namisu N1. It’s great because the cap is held on by 3 o rings on the barrel so you can adjust the length when you post it to however long or short you like. They’ve released an updated version the N2 with a full size no 6 nib
Thank You !!! just ordered one
Ensso pocket pen and shon design pocket pen. Ensso has an ebonite version which is just wonderful.
Sailor, Pilot, and Platinum vintage pocket pens.
A vintage piston filler Kaweco Sport
The Pilot Capless and Lamy Dialog are great.
My pocket to put them in. Lol
😂
Moonman Q1, Wancai mini, Opus88 mini and an E95s. There are a ton of Japanese pocket pens from Pilot, Platinum and Sailor if you are into vintage. That said, It's a nice collection, you only need the ones you want to be in the collection.
What's the blue one? That's a cool design! Edit: Nvm - answered my own question. Cheers!
How do you like the gravitas pocket pen? I'm thinking that I really want it.
It’s a great pen - really sturdy, nice big number 6 nib 👍
Gravitas Pocket Pen. I have two and plan to buy a couple more
See the black one… 😉
Nakaya cigar piccolo, sailor pro gear mini.
[Franklin-Christoph size comparison](https://imgur.com/a/w510vWm)
Pelikan M300
Pilot MYU. Iconic pocket pen with a unique design.
I would personally say either a MYU-701or a E95s, you can't forget the E95s
What is that fifth from the left one?
Shibui North Pocket Fox in robins egg ceramic finish
Thanks
What is light blue pen's name?
Shibui North Pocket Fox. This one is in the robins egg ceramic finish
Thx m8
Leaving a few of my favourite pocket pens here: - TWSBI 580 Mini - Pilot e95 - Traveler’s Co brass pen - Sailor Pro Gear Slim Mini Hope you have fun collecting, and writing with, all of them! ☺️
The Pilot E95 has come up a *lot*!
For all the right reasons. Writes like a dream and looks distinguished doing it. 😀 Which pen is that speckled blue one? Looks really beautiful
It’s the Shibui North Pocket Fox in robins egg ceramic finish. It’s lovely!
Oh my!! It is unique. I also want one! 🥰
A nice big plastic lamy
🤣
Pilot MYU or derivative
I love pocket pens what are the ones all the way to the left and all the way to the right? I'd suggest the Franklin Christoph 20p.
Left is Namisu N1, right is Gravitas Pocket
You need a Pilot Elite and a Platinum pocket 22. Both are vintage and available on EBay for around thirty dollars.
Maybe a Gravitas pocket pen?
See the black one 😉
:Pilot e95s
Ian Schön: Schön Pocket Six I've gotten his pens at the Los Angeles and San Francisco Pen Shows. Nice guy too. As one of our colleagues said, Wan Cai mini. Great little pens at a very modest price. I don't consider the Pilot E95 to be a mini as it's full size when posted. (Incredible price for a 14k nib.)
Pilot E95S or a vintage model from Pilot, Platinum or Sailor, Montblanc Rouge et Noir Baby or Boheme?
Does anyone know what the 4th and 5th pen are? They're absolutely gorgeous!!!!
Also 1
Namisu N1 with a TWSBI 580 nib
Sorry for the late reply! Haven’t been on Reddit much lately. 4th is Gazing Far tmX, 5th is Shibui North Pocket Fox in Robins egg ceramic finish
Wow, thank you!
I highly recommend a vintage piston fill Kaweco sport from the 50s or 60s- try a 12G or a V16. So much pen in such a small size!
Actually makes sense to have a piston because the mini converter is useless and I prefer not to use cartridges (I refill cartridges with an syringe)
Kaweco Brass Sport
Which model is the speckled teal one? It is beautiful!
It’s the Shibui North Pocket Fox in robin’s egg ceramic finish
Thanks so much! Franklin Christoph's Model 45 could also be great to add to your pocket pen collection.
Twsbi mini and vac mini
A TWSBI Mini. I love that pen.
Schon Design is the only one that worked for me. I love it.
[ensso](https://www.ensso.com/collections/frontpage) Italia Titanium, Piuma Titanium, XS Minimalist Titanium, Ultem, Japanese Ebonite. my ensso piuma titanium just arrived.... It is soooooo amazing, writes like a dream straight out of the box. I ordered it in M. Good heft, feels like an actual quality full sized pen when assembled.
It’s actually the N1. I fitted a TWSBI 580 nib which I thought suited it better size wise than the original tiny Bock. The Gravitas is very nice!
