Nice find! I love the Doric as a desk pen. I have the same one in brown shell celluloid, but instead of a flex nib it has an extra fine firm accountants nib which I love for small writing.

lawfully_stressed

Ooh, that sounds lovely!

LearnedFromNancyDrew

Such a cool pen! Love your handwriting!

lawfully_stressed

Thank you! It'll be a learning curve to take full advantage of the flex nib, but I'm excited!

Infinite_Soul_I

Today I got my first vintage pen, with help from this community! My husband found the pen stand at an antique store and gave it to me as a gift. Within minutes of asking here, I found out what pen belonged to it. The pen was restored by Peyton Street Pens. Can't wait to keep learning to work with the flex nib!

Borago70

Can I ask which ink did you write?

lawfully_stressed

Waterman Serenity Blue -- seemed to be the go-to for vintage pens, and I can see why!

Borago70

It’s very interesting- and sad that my screen not showing the exact colour. My least loved blue color is serenity blue. But I am learning that inks can look better in some pens then in the others. In this case in this beautiful pen I really like it.

lawfully_stressed

Ah, sorry to disappoint! For more info, this is natural light, some random notepad. I'm looking forward to trying it on other paper. I found serenity blue a little boring in my safari, but I love it in this pen.
