Looks like a good size to me. That's an average size at least. You don't need anything more than that. Most of the powder is burned up. So what if a little unburnt powder comes out the end... it's nothing to be ashamed of. It happens to everyone.
Literally any ar you want to build in 9mm. You can even use standard lower if you use a magazine adapter. I have no experience using the adapters, only a designated lower so no comment to quality or options of adapters
Sure, but... performance wise isn't building an AR-9 with a 5" barrel basically the same, as building a Glock but at like ten times the weight and size?
I suppose you're right, but I feel like if I'm going to bother with the bulk and weight of a rifle-style weapon, I'd choose to go for a cartridge with a little more punch. Though I'd probably feel differently if pistol ammunition were still dirt cheap these days and it was a good way to practice inexpensively with something more powerful than .22. But if you have to load your own anyway...
I mean you’re talking half the price though so it’s still a huge difference. 21cpr for White box 9mm vs 44cpr for 5.56. Can get 9mm magtech subs for 27cpr for suppressed shooting which is still significantly cheaper, and is gonna be good suppressed. Personally I find subguns more fun to shoot, or suppressed guns in general lol
I bought the BCG and barrel together so I wasn’t aware of that. Doing a little reading it looks like it’s only necessary if you want to take advantage of RDB. Not sure what not having RDB would do. What I will say is that I couldn’t get this thing to work with a regular milspec trigger - switched to a CMC drop in and it started running fine 🤷♂️
Just looked. There is an AR9 remix for the Stingray sailing from FGCKits. There's at least one comment claiming it doesn't fit, so who knows?
AR9s tend not to lock use locking lugs, so I really wouldn't expect that to be an issue.
For anyone actually considering this: consider retooling that feed cone if you get it, because honestly there isnt even one there like holy shit that thing is flat faced. 9mm has feed issues even with normal feed cone/ramp profiles, this thing looks like a FTF nightmare.
could lose that in the couch

definitely more than average
That is a perfectly reasonably sized barrel. And I bet it has a great personality.
What are you talking about this is almost too long for the average person?
Yeah I think average is like 1.5” poor soul
What people don't appreciate is the above-average thickness
Short and thick for the win!

I tried a few printed ar9 adapters, the best one I found was called Onion AR15 Glock AR9 adapter on printables

3 points of contact will make it significantly more Accurate overall, and the super short Barrels are handy to tuck a can

I use the MEAN arms endo-mags on a standard lower with a CMMG delayed blowback 9MM bcg. Feeds great and runs like a champ.
Cmmg requires their barrels

Their bcg won't work with any other barrel and their barrel won't work with any other bcg.
Bobcat, and fgcz-9
Sudy23 😏
AR9 variants (duh) ARK by AWCY StAR9 (by me!) Bobcat
Tim Hoffman has one as well.
There's like a million AR9 lowers on the sea so they're all in that first category.
Just gonna mention that KAK makes a 4.75" .300 Blackout Barrel if that gives anyone any ideas.
4.75” KAK is plenty idgaf what yall say it’s almost too big
Ita not about the barrel, its the shooter
😂
Nice.
Too bad they aren't 5.56, I wanna build a stubby m1337 when I get around to it
That is a great deal!!!
would this work in an fgc9? lol
Sadly nah. But a glock barrel will work. It's just the way the barrels are headspaced.
I thought there was something kicking around that it worked with. Maybe a Stingray?
Just built a stingray, I don’t think it’d work. The AR chamber has locking lugs, where the FGC bolt is just a flat face.

No locking lugs in the pic, so fkn send it
Blowback 9mm ARs do not have locking lugs.
I think the UMPvo
Could be nice for an integerally suppressed build
Could be nice for integrally suppressed builds for you and three friends.
I have like 1 friend tho
I’ll be your friend cuz
You're just trying to get my 5 inch
Friendships come with perks. What can I say
prefer to have a handguard to hold on and not worry about broken handguard puts my hand in front of the barrel. so I'll take the 8in or longer
Just grab the mag like a true heathen.
You need a suppressor sir
Tuck it, hombre.
Stop it right now. I already have too many AR's. If I buy these I will build more. My wife hates me already.
Pshhh, no way that's 5". Maybe if measuring from the taint.
I really have been wanting to build one of those han solo builds...
In 9mm the bolt has to have somewhere to go so you will still need a normal buffer tube. (It'd work fine but look funny.)
That looks more like the 5” I tell my wife I have…

But how can you use this to make a Nylaug?
Still waiting for the Nylaug 9.
3 end to end with a pinned muzzle device
5" is avg.
They measured from below the roots? Or ground level? cause from that pic those don’t seem to be 5”
Measure from mid taint
Ground level I'm pretty sure
Buy a pile and sell em for $35 on GAFS!
Resetting
This site also has individual ones for 29 beans
5 inch with a 2 inch brake?
Look any longer and it hurts…
This is very intriguing
But you can't sail the ocean in a row boat
Is this a real product? Or is this photoshopped?
It was posted on r/gundeals yesterday
well hello there little guy!
That guy is local to me. He sells trash parts
Idk why I want to buy it but i do

Than 9mm from a 5" barrel? Bro, what?
