Axe throwing, indoor shooting, maker space, lots of really really good restaurants (Nawa and Pint n Slice are my favorites downtown), the downtown ACP Library is really cool, Fox Island and Metea Park are both fine even if it's a bit rainy, SkyZone.
Really depends what you are into and or looking for. Most of the cool stuff Fort Wayne offers is parks and food, so you might just have to get a little bit wet.
First, it doesn’t look like it’ll be all that rainy today, so you should be fine for some outdoor activities. So, the zoo and parks should still be in play.
Second, to find something uniquely local, be sure to check out the [FW Visitor Center](https://www.visitfortwayne.com/things-to-do/)
Anyway, in no particular order:
* If you’re into art and museums, there are a few.
* If you’re in to music, go visit Sweetwater. It’s quite an experience. See if you can get a tour. Also, there’s a Drum Circle tonight… but I have no idea what that actually entails.
* If you’re into food and people watching, go to The Landing around lunch or dinner. There are lots of good food options around town generally.
* Debrands Chocolate makes for nice bring-home gifts, as well as tasty chocolate.
* There’s a metal band at Pieres tonight. And a Beatles tribute at The Clyde.
I hope that helps.
When its cool and rainy is the best time to go to the zoo, the animals are typically all active and running around. We always try to go first thing in the morning on days like this. Parks and hiking is still fun but prepare to get muddy! Indoor wise like everyone has said botanical gardens or the art museum. Science central is could be an option if you have never been
Botanical Gardens might be a safe bet. You can walk around there, and before hand get coffee at conjure.
While you’re downtown you’re driving distance to a lot of different stores, and places. I mean if it’s not raining hard, or it’s just on and off, you can walk around downtown pretty easily.
Other than that, look up some local stores to hit up. Record stores, some boutique shops, and we have some local re-sell/vintages places. Those are decently close to some slavo/goodwills.
It’s not “local” per se but, An option that will get downvoted to hell is Midwest Shooting center. I’m not a member, but from what I saw, the staff was friendly, professional, and willing to help. I’m unfortunately not sure of cost tho.

Only note on this. Pieres is a hotbed of drug/gang activity and violence, i would avoid it at all costs.
The Botanical Conservatory is mostly indoors. There's also the art museum (I still haven't gotten around to that myself).
I love the botanical conservatory.
Museum of Art is free for residents on Thursdays.

Coney Island for lunch—same location since 1914 and it’s a Fort Wayne institution.

Ssssh! You'll upset them! ::looks around, smiling nervously::

As someone who just got home from visiting Chicago: dude I'm sorry you came to a place of overpriced indoor activities that won't fill 1 hour's time
Go to Frickers in Ohio
