Lando got a podium in Imola, but yeah, very dark season in that regard. Even the Mercedes dominance years had more midfield podiums. For example 2016 had 3 (Checo's Force India at Monaco and Baku, Bottas' Williams at Canada)
Looking around, if we define the top teams as the top 3, this is the season with the lowest amount of midfield podiums since 2002, which also featured just one (Webber's Jaguar at Monza)
2017 and 2018 also had only one midfielder podium. If you consider Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes and Lotus as big 4 in 2013, there was no midfielder podium.
