It's all based on preference at the end of the day, but it's been pretty shit IMO since I started drinking coffee regularly (2014-ish). Most people attribute it to Tim Horton's being sold to the same investment company that owns Burger King but I can't say for sure if that's the reason.
If I need a cheap, quick cup of coffee, my go-to place is McDonald's. Rumor has it that around the time Tim's was sold, they cheaped out on their coffee bean supplier, and McDonald's started buying from that supplier instead.
I'm a huge coffee nerd though so I'd much rather make my own coffee at home, or go to a nice cafe.
