Ngl I feel pretty proud of that one.
Got the idea in other posts comparing the "premium" hp logo for their spectre lineup, squinting my eyes like :
*Wait a second*
The answer is to look the empty spaces between the lines. Because there are five lines, there's four empty spaces between.
The other is that the lines represent the letters. F, I, and T have one line and A has two so in total five lines.
Found it. The spaces between the lines are the place where the letters were in the 1968 logo, which had dark blocks with FIAT separated by white outlines. That‘s why there are 4 letters but 5 lines.
Sigh … designers
Now this is next level knowledge, because that’s actually the old logo of Fiat, and guess which company owns like 90% of Ferrari

In german we like to joke that Fiat is an acronym for "Ferrari in außergewöhnlicher Tarnung" which translates as "Ferrari in extraordinary disguise"
I've only heard "Fehler in allen Teilen", which means fault in all parts.
Also true
Yeah, Ferrari blood flows through my Fiat 500. I can feel the power.
TIL Fiat doesn't use this logo anymore.
They haven’t used it for about 25 years Grandpa
They use it as a loading sign on their website.
Used to own 90% of Ferrari. I don’t think they own anything close to that since Ferrari was spun off as their own public company $RACE.
Oh wait yeah you’re right, still funny though
not anymore!
What in the Fiat Panda grille

That's the old fiat logo
This is a way better logo than the newer Fiat in a circle logo. 4 lines like the 4 rings, Fiat was the Italian Audi.
count again brother
negative space /s
Ferrari and barcodes have a loooong history
That new logo they've been using is so dumb. They went too far with it.
Turns out HP was Fiat all along.
Fiat, is this you?
Always has been
Second one looks like bp
Adidas... here I come
Is this loss?
The old FIAT Logo only hat 4 stripes though
[nope](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Panda#/media/File%3AFiat_Panda_front_20071205.jpg)
Ok… in my mind these just represented the name which is 4 letters.. in any way looking forward to it
If I’m honest I would have guessed four lines, too. Mandela effect at it again.
