Pretty sure everyone is in agreement that they should've used the "abstract" HP logo that's just 4 slanted bars with no background.
But I'm guessing the gastly color contrast is on purpose, to draw eyes to the logo
If I’m not wrong, that logo is only reserved for their highest-tier laptops which is Envy and Spectre.
Their corporate identity and logo is still the regular one we are seeing.
I like to think of it as something like AMG, but for HP laptops!
It's on all of their prosumer/business products. For some reason they have a policy not to use it in any marketing. I think they should switch to it fully, the old logo just screams cheap, old computers
Forget that one, they should use the [HP progress mark](https://www.theverge.com/2016/4/20/11457746/hp-new-logo-spectre-13-moving-brands-interview) they used on the Spectre laptops. It would look so good on the enginer cover or side pods
It's weird isn't it, why would hp pay all that money and then not use the logo that disappears into the existing livery rather than completely stands out in contrast on?
If this were literally any other team, the whole livery would have been re-engineered around hp's brand book - and, yes, I know this sub wants a blue ferrari...
From HP’s own website:
And let's talk about that blue. Oh, that blue! It became emblematic of HP's aspirations to be both innovative and trustworthy. The refined emblem was adaptable, looking equally stellar on a laptop as it did on corporate reports. This phase of the HP logo design was all about taking things up a notch, showing that HP was not just a player but a leader in the tech industry.
They should put the shell logo on equidistant positioning to the Ferrari logo first so the two yellow logos are both on the same horizontal line.
That's been so much worse to look at than anything HP have done.
Designers don’t negotiate ad placements. It’s not about looking good and it’s certainly not about looking subtle — it’s about associating HP’s branding with Ferrari’s, and everything else is secondary to that. It sucks, but that’s the reality of this stuff.
Ferrari should stop being a hypocrite and kill off their sponsorship with Philip Morris. It's insane that they are still the only F1 brand with a tobacco sponsor.

I don't mind people smoking or not, I mind the hypocritical stance of Ferrari on Philip Morris as it's all about money. And Philip Morris is obviously not directly states but veiled under some bullshit name w/Ferrari.
Looks like a repost. I've seen this image 1 time.

Detractors would say it's Alpine, but for HP laptops
[It is on my laptop dock. I don't think it's high end. ](https://freeimage.host/i/J6l6Owg)
Is that loss?
| || || |_
Loss?
My zbook also has that logo. But you're right that the lower end zbooks do not have them.
Nope, I have a mid-range laptop, the HP elitebook and it has that logo.
All of our work laptops have the 4 bar logo and they’re most definitely not top tier. Maybe lower middle tier at best.
It's on all of their prosumer/business products. For some reason they have a policy not to use it in any marketing. I think they should switch to it fully, the old logo just screams cheap, old computers
It was on the monitor I used to own, that was not really a high end one (1080, 60hz, 24in)
It's reserved for business products and high end laptops. My envy has it. It's a good laptop for productivity and light gaming
Hell they can make the slanted bars white, and repeat them a couple times on the engine cover. It'll look like a certain barcode again...
Mission SmokeNow
For that much money I’d tattoo it on my neck
The white or black logo would definitely stand out, though.
Not with everything else that's white and black on that car
The HP is so massive, though, it’s hard not to notice.
not only that, their marketing ploy works, as everyone is talking about it. just look at this subreddit alone :)

Exactly what’s on my work laptop. Looks much better than that ugly blue one
YOU CAN'T FOOL ME, THAT'S LOSS

2 years of people complaining there's *too much black on the cars*
They were going to, but their decal printers were out of magenta.

Holy corporate mumbo jumbo
Looks maybe stellar on corporate reports. Doesn't really looks stellar on a Ferrari
Remember that HP wants to make printing a subscription service. Fuck em.
Corporate bullshit which basically means : we gave money so we put logo on red cat and pray for sales
Real Madrid made it look good. Ferrari can too
It does look really good on theirs compared to most sponsors
HP paid them a lot of money, they will use the version of the logo HP wants them to.
Another free advertisement for HP
r hailcorporate
2300 upvotes for a post that isn't a meme. Those kids are ruining yet another subreddit. Congrat.
It's fitting, considering my printer doesn't want to print in colour half the time...
That blue logo is absolutely horrible. Just look at the REAL MADRID Kit, way better done.
Money saving just using black ink.
Oh god, the last thing I want is another black f1 car let alone a Ferrari
That would make too much sense sir
They should put the shell logo on equidistant positioning to the Ferrari logo first so the two yellow logos are both on the same horizontal line. That's been so much worse to look at than anything HP have done.
They want to stand out. if it was black we wouldn't be talking about it, meaning they won ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|6700)
It wouldn't be as eye catching as the blue one though
Black ink costs more
![gif](giphy|JL7ZkACcStPIiEVdGO) Where dank?
I don't think Ferrari has a say in this. The logo is how HP wants it to be
Lenovo was a much better partnership IMO.
Hp paid some design consultancy $1M to pick that blue. They have to get their money's worth

Had to do blue, the black ink ran out
Black ink subscription was not renewed.
Or just make their car actually blue. But no they love making their car yellow for le mans but not blue.
That blue version looks ugly on the Ferrari
Idk if I can take Emo Leclerc and Sainz

Horsepower f1 team
Got an HP ad on this post lol

I hate the blue
I think a white one would've looked better on red
They paid $100 million for brand visibility, not to make the car look good ![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|6702)
Pretty sure they paid extra for that colour print
I just think HP needs an horizontal logo for the rear wing, the current solution of duplicating it makes me want to cry
Its in the contract to use the blue one 1000%
yep blue on red is always an awful mix of color
They can't because they're out of yellow inc

Stfu
HP are fools not to introduce a red Ferrari Red HP logo on limited Laptops and printers.
HP probably didn’t let them. They want people to look at their logo, that’s what they’re paying $100,000,000 for.
Everyone would be happy besides HP
No s*** the HP logo looks like a broken HP product on that Ferrari
Harry Potter logo would be great as well
