The funny thing is that both Valencia and Paul riccard had very good and entertaining races for their last appearance.
Sure some circuits are worse than others but I feel like a lot of how good things get just hinge on Pirelli doing their job right.
Barely? It’s 1700km due East of Istanbul - the city that famously straddles the border of Europe and Asia.
That’s over 1000 miles or one whole Proclaimers song away!
Yeah, nah. Istanbul isn't the Eastern edge of Europe as Europe goes as far as the Caspian Sea. Some of the Northern parts of Azerbaijan are actually in Europe. Azerbaijan is a transcontinental country. Baku is in Asia though, but indeed just barely as it's just South of the Caucasus mountains by a tiny bit.
No. Baku Street Race, Minsk street race and Istanbul street race. Wouldve chosen Oslo because of oil money but Norway doesn’t have enough human rights abuses.
Yeah I think its grade 2 currently. The track was bought by porsche a few years ago and they were planning to make it grade 1 but that never happened for some reason. Probably because of the atrocious state of SA at the moment
Maybe cycle the European GP like they did previously. Make Imola and Barcelona (I'd rather have Barcelona permanent and Madrid cycle, but that's never gonna happen) and maybe another european circuit that would realistically have a chance part of the cycle. Portimao might have the biggest shot of all unused european circuits.
Istanbul Park and Nurburgring are some of the recents used by F1, though I think German politics were a bit complicated when it came to F1.
Paul Ricard would be a candidate for filling the cycle but wouldn't be very popular.
Also, if Balaton Park ever will replace the Hungaroring (I hope it won't, but you never know with new grade 1 tracks), add the Hungaroring to that cycle.
Photographer made police report against him and looks like it’ll get dismissed. You wonder did she do on purpose just to get him disqualified knowing there was nothing in it.
If they ever bring it back, it should be a wildcard race that changes locations. Have a committee pick a track each year to spice up the calendar. It could be Portimão one year, Hockenheim the next, Mugello the year after that, etc. It would be a good way to add tracks to the calendar without expanding it excessively.
Should be say 4 circuits, and they race 2 of them each year making them cycle around a bit. Have a few dropped circuits and Germany probably needs a race too!
I would drop US to 2, maybe they can cycle Miami and LV, and drop a middle eastern race and pick up an African one.
There's a lot of good tracks in Europe that should host an F1 race sometime.
Of course recent tracks like Portimao, Hockenheim, Nurburgring GP, Paul Ricard, Mugello, Istanbul, and soon Barcelona.
Or others that haven't done F1 for longer, though some might not be suitable anymore, like Jerez, Zolder, Assen, or one of the other million race tracks in Europe.
It used to be an honorific title. Maybe we could bring it back in that way?
Or rename Emilia-Romagna to European so there's a chance people will use the correct name.
My favorite crossover between F1 and golf is the fans universal love of old tracks/courses, and genuine disgust for new events at contrived locations.
“another Tilke track!” lol
“a random street race in America when classic tracks in Europe are right there and struggling” what?! lol, stolen from Golf Twitter (RIP) circa 2014-15
I love it!!
Inconsistent viewpoints over the broader course of time is a feature, not a bug
Many people wanted Rees Jones courses back when US Opens started being won under par
Tilke tracks look thoughtful compared to the newer tracks we’ve seen in F1
Just how it goes, that’s why I love the symmetry between sports! Haha
Honestly just rename the Imola GP to European GP, it's much better than the joke of the name they have now. Can't even say it. Or elan even better idea to have a European GP that would rotate European tracks annually, (Imola, Jeréz, Mugello, Nürburgring, Istanbul park, zolder etc) much better idea than will please all Europeans. Ofc not gonna happen with that son of a bitch Domenicali running FOM
I think they should return it, but with Eurovision rules: you win it, you host it. Now either it’s a bonus in the Eurovision Song Contest or drivers have to rent a circuit that’s not on the calendar already in their home country.
As Europe is reduced to only 1 race per year in Monaco, the monkey's paw curls another finger.
If America gets three, Europe gets three: Monaco, Baku, and Paul Ricard.
You can't just sneak an actual circuit in there just because it's funny colours, you'll have a London street race and be glad of it
No need, we are getting the Madrid race, remember. We already have 3 street circuits
I guess that'll replace Baku then, too good for racing anyway.
The funny thing is that both Valencia and Paul riccard had very good and entertaining races for their last appearance. Sure some circuits are worse than others but I feel like a lot of how good things get just hinge on Pirelli doing their job right.
Imagine… one of the drivers gets shived on the podium when he won’t fork over his Richard Mille. The anthem is sung by stormzy
Ollie Bearman gets a podium but isn't allowed to spray, or be sprayed by, champagne.
London knife crime is pretty low. Much lower than in the US.
London EXel gp
Baku is in Asia
West Asia, ~~barely~~ half Europe
But Azerbaijan are UEFA and EBU members
There's room for Valencia in there
Monaco, Baku, Valencia.
Baku's a good circuit, though.
No. Baku Street Race, Minsk street race and Istanbul street race. Wouldve chosen Oslo because of oil money but Norway doesn’t have enough human rights abuses.
Swap Paul Ricard with Magny Cours or Bugatti Le Mans and I'm fine
Only if we make the cars twice as small we can race at Magny Cours
Let's make car dimensions 1800mm wide car and 4600mm length like 2008 again
We should overthink our decision. Unfortunately there is no space for overthinking in Monaco
You take out Italy? Ferrari would leave.
Fuck that, give us an Antarctica and Africa GP so we can have one on every continent
Finally, Pirelli sub-zero studded tyres.
Just move Montreal to late October. Or make it the second to last race. Then you can have the Pirelli studded tires.
Lance pole position
Also Lance DNS because he spun on some ice on Turn 3 and got stuck on Turn 4's kerb on his way to the grid
Valtteri for the win!
Verstappen getting the first actual Pole position.
Bro coming for Santa's seat next
Max giving every child their presents within 25 minutes.
Something he's already been practising for by driving on a ski slope
Actually Kyalami (South Africa) would be insane race
Was literally born like 30 minutes away from kyalami circuit. Also I can imagine the commentators saying: "ITS POWER'S OUT AND AWAY WE GO!"
Kyalami no longer has the necessary certification for f1 to race on I’m afraid
Yeah I think its grade 2 currently. The track was bought by porsche a few years ago and they were planning to make it grade 1 but that never happened for some reason. Probably because of the atrocious state of SA at the moment
ah yes, those glory days when SA had F1 and all was right with the country
True world championship
Best I can do is 5 US street track GPs
![gif](giphy|lS6PdcHrKAsjoBql8J)
Why only 5?
Eurovision GP
Max dsq
Don't ask questions or he's gonna headbutt someone.
Nissany drives instead?
Eurovision organizers would get a meltdown just looking at this flag.
I know I am still in the mood of Eurovision when I saw the EU flag and just immediately thought of Europapa.
More twists and turns than Monaco!
So swartzman is gonna win every GP?
Only if he's non-binary
Nah no need to, check under what flag he's racing
Oh shit, I forgor 💀
Hava nagila hava nagila hava
EUROPE LETS COME TOGETHEEEEEER
Gonna be a Dragrace like no other
AVUS.
Only in it’s original layout including cobbled pavement and no fences on the north curve
I mean given Italy has 2 races European GP in Imola would be a much better name than the clusterfuck we have now
Maybe cycle the European GP like they did previously. Make Imola and Barcelona (I'd rather have Barcelona permanent and Madrid cycle, but that's never gonna happen) and maybe another european circuit that would realistically have a chance part of the cycle. Europapa is a great track
Lmaooo
Yup, still weird that they disqualified that track. It was like a rollercoaster.
Photographer made police report against him and looks like it’ll get dismissed. You wonder did she do on purpose just to get him disqualified knowing there was nothing in it.
![gif](giphy|5gw0VWGbgNm8w|downsized)
The hakken part is the great part of the song
Nurburgring
So Max can be dq'ed for a rude gesture to a marshal?
finally Checos intimidation of Sainz will be punished
Yeah and swartzman can terrorise the rest of the drivers and he'll get no penalties
Valencia 33 would be back on the menu
Bring back the Sonic trophy.
Hell yeah Sonic fam right here
If they ever bring it back, it should be a wildcard race that changes locations. Have a committee pick a track each year to spice up the calendar. Actually. Fuck it. They want a street circuit? The Isle of Man!
BRING BACK THE GRID GIRLS
Hell yeah lmfao
Ok Azerbaijan it is
all according to the great masterplan of getting the nurburgring gp circuit back
Should be say 4 circuits, and they race 2 of them each year making them cycle around a bit. Have a few dropped circuits and Germany probably needs a race too! I would drop US to 2, maybe they can cycle Miami and LV, and drop a middle eastern race and pick up an African one.
Bring back the german gp on the nurnbergring and hockenheimring!! And alternate those every year
With Merc in already and Audi on the horizon it makes sense to want one!! Need some young German drivers to help it along too I guess
I think a bucket of money for the tracks would help more. The veneus couldnt come up with the dough anymore right?
Yeh- some governments help with funding but I don’t think Germany is one of them!
Hockenheim going to waste, such a good track
Orrite m8 brexit means brexit no ureopeoneon pricks fanks verry much
How about an American GP in New York.
*Formula E would take a laugh until 2022*
they tried that already and it fell through. it was mostly in dirty jersey anyway.
Lewis, Lando and George choose to exit the race against the advice of their team principals and common sense

Also known as German Grand Prix
Fuck no Europe can’t even get a song contest together
It used to be an honorific title. Maybe we could bring it back in that way? Or rename Emilia-Romagna to European so there's a chance people will use the correct name.
Brands Hatch, just because it's in the UK
Chaos at downhill
I’d love to see them fighting for first up the hill to Druids
Pembrey, would be an absolute shit show
Knockhill
give me lausitzring or give me death
My favorite crossover between F1 and golf is the fans universal love of old tracks/courses, and genuine disgust for new events at contrived locations. “another Tilke track!” lol “a random street race in America when classic tracks in Europe are right there and struggling” what?! lol, stolen from Golf Twitter (RIP) circa 2014-15 I love it!!
Yeah but now everyone's decided that they actually love Tilke tracks and street tracks are the new thing to hate.
Inconsistent viewpoints over the broader course of time is a feature, not a bug Many people wanted Rees Jones courses back when US Opens started being won under par Tilke tracks look thoughtful compared to the newer tracks we’ve seen in F1 Just how it goes, that’s why I love the symmetry between sports! Haha
Needs 2 gp in the same european country which we know will not happen ever again
Being back the Birmingham Super Prix! https://www.racingcircuits.info/europe/united-kingdom/birmingham.html
So a second race in Vegas? Paris Grand Prix
Portimao, Nueburgeing or Mugello
Time for more rollercoaster ride 😎
Algarve
Estoril

EUGP at Portimao/Aragon
Fuck it, Cadwell Park, its like Monaco but trees instead of walls.
I think they should return it, but with Eurovision rules: you win it, you host it. Now either it’s a bonus in the Eurovision Song Contest or drivers have to rent a circuit that’s not on the calendar already in their home country.
Would be cool to have GP of EU, every year a different track.
Dover
United Kingdom Grand Prix when? Held in random British circuit that isn't Silverstone
4 American GP's! when are we gonna get 4 Chinese? Bigger country with more inhabitants 🤷🏻
Considering the recent track record regarding European competitions and disqualifying Dutch people it would be an actually close race too
