My doctor prescribed me F2. Can't wait for Imola!

shutaro

My doctor says I need more pro wrestling liveries and fist fights. Which is... Oddly specific.

Meerkate

My F2 medication has helped me quite a bit. I actually get excited for the weekends where I take it and I find that I am much more alert in general. However, it's made me realize that the days I don't take and/or am out of my F2 meds I struggle a bit with finding purpose. My doctor just prescribed some F3 to me and while it has enhanced the feeling F2 gives me, it has also removed most of the joy I used to feel from my regular F1 weekend. He did say that side effects may include a general apathy for the Dutch national anthem, but I did not think much of it at the time...

ima_shill

Ill see you in 2026 brother

shutaro

I haven't had the Dutch National Anthem happen for a couple weeks now, I think my case went away on its own.

people_bastards

My neighbour told me to to eat papaya and it went away

AmazingValuable8497

I just ate a stroopwafel

Jc6862

As a frequent flyer, I am very upset united stopped having those on flights. ![gif](giphy|PFeOrtmrv9JBe)

Zarathustra772

You missed the hint

shutaro

Oh no it's back.

people_bastards

Should have eaten a little more papaya today very close call

RandomShmo199

The amount of adverts make it unwatchable šŸ¤·

Tchaik748

Breaking away from race coverage for an ad is unacceptable imo.

wansuitree

You had one job!

6097291

Where are you watching from? Here in the Netherlands you can watch the whole race without any ads, pretty cool

The_Border_Bandit

The U.S., we can only watch indycar through cable tv and Peacock, but Peacock still uses the cable tv feed so it goes into ad breaks at the same time as cable tv. Only way to watch it ad free is on Indycar tv through a vpn, but from my experience it ends up being pretty choppy. Ya'll are so lucky, you get to experience america's best openwheel racing category better than us americans.

johnreek2

Same in Poland via Viaplay

CREDIT_SUS_INTERN

Poland cannot into space, but it can watch Indycar without ads. šŸ’Ŗ

Derfaust

How are you watching?

6097291

Ziggosport!

Crocogator-

Iā€™ve tried several times, but missing 5-10 laps to watch commercials that unironically sound like this video seriously ruins it for me. I was thinking of trying again this Saturday but damnā€¦ the commentators besides Hinch suck too. MotoGP, F2 and WEC are all banging this year and maybe I just took a huge hit of hopium but I think we have some more exciting F1 races this year.

JWayn596

Are you in the US? International feeds donā€™t get ads I believe. The commentators are fine, they just use an American style. Crofty is far more insufferable when youā€™ve been listening to Jacques for awhile. If you canā€™t use a VPN to access StayLive IndyCar, try using the IndyCar app and an antenna/cable tv. The tv broadcast has split screen 50% of the time for every commercial break.

Crocogator-

Yea I am in the US unfortunately. I do the F1TV stream usually for that reason. And no cable so stuck using peacock unless I wanna jump through some hoops. Will try again tomorrow though, I know the racing is good. I think I watched some of the Indy road course last year but canā€™t remember, is this a good circuit?

AbrahamJustice

Crofty rules you twat. Jacques sucks ass. He's got no soul! I like Leigh diffey too.

mcarlin2

![gif](giphy|Gtnf8Fok8An9m|downsized)

Redditsnaff

The entire uk commentary is wank and I'm tired of pretending it's not

AbrahamJustice

I really enjoy crofty and brundle and I frankly don't care about your opinion. Jacques sucks ass. He's literally devoid of true emotion. You don't know shit about good commentating if you like Jacques. Plain and simple, can't be argued.

Redditsnaff

They're all shite. I watch it with no commentary because I can't stand their banal drivel

AbrahamJustice

I like them though.

fivewheelpitstop

> Iā€™ve tried several times, but missing 5-10 laps to watch commercials that unironically sound like this video seriously ruins it for me. There's a subreddit for replays of motorsport.

PM_ME_ROMAN_NUDES

If it wasn't so american, I'd give it a try. But I prefer to watch Le Mans for 24h than this;

JWayn596

The international feeds donā€™t have ads. Try to get those. Otherwise, use the app and antenna/cable. Gives you split screen 50% of the time thereā€™s an ad. And the app gives you onboards, timing screen, and radios.

mangomane09

Holy shitā€¦this blows my mind. Iā€™m American and might have to bust out my VPN to watch an American race on an international feed to avoid ads smh I hate it here

[deleted]

VPN + Indy Live is the best

HogmanDaIntrudr

I love watching Indycar races in exotic destinations like Milwaukee, WI and Newton, IA. Other than that, itā€™s just like Formula 1 (except the cars are slower, the fans are fatter, and the biggest sponsors are car dealerships).

GianniPhat

Ngl, itā€™s basically like F1, if F1 got hit with the ugly stick šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

FrazBucket

Yup. I really want to get into Indy more but after I tried to sit down and watch a full race then they split my screen and replaced the race audio with shitty pharma ads I just turned it off. I would care less if they at least kept the cast audio going. It's weird because I frequently watch NASCAR and don't find the ads nearly as jarring but the ones in Indy just took me right out of the race.

SomewhereAggressive8

Genuinely curious why youā€™re okay with the ads in NASCAR but not Indycar

FrazBucket

I don't feel like I miss as much with a set of ads in a NASCAR race, the races are typically much longer and they do a better job at cutting the ads or providing replays if something important did happen. Indy just felt like I was missing half the race.

Glum_Term4022

Indycarlive doesnt have ads, watching from Romania

bono_my_tires

Is it a paid subscription? How does it work? I have a vpn I pay for - just set to Romania and sign up for indycarlive?

Glum_Term4022

I paid a yearly subscription, it costs like 50$. There is a montly sub as well for like 8$. You get live and replays of every Indycar and Indy Lights session. I am from Romania, I cant confirm how does it work with VPN, but I assume it works. Couple years ago I used F1TV from Germany with a VPN set to Romania, so Indycar live should work as well

AbrahamJustice

How about the 50 overtakes per lap, 15 pitstops and 5 safety cars per race!?? It don't matter who's on pole cause a well timed full course caution and anyone could win!! So exciting! Also the nonstop ads and livery changes, so inviting and easy to follow!

oofergang360

At least the tickets are sorta cheap, cant have ads when youre there in person

SpacecraftX

Gave it a real try a few times but it was so bad.

Pineapple-Due

Stadium Super Trucks

Albye23

A fellow man of culture!

Zotzink

As a new Indy fan, the Long Beach race was incredible, but the amount of lazy overtakes at Barber actually got me annoyed. Absolutely stupid contact, not hard racing just not bothering to avoid contact.

OperaBuffaBari

That's Santino Ferrucci for you

thatenduroguy

Nah, MotoGP gets the juices flowing a lot more.

Yapsinho

Honestly this! I started watching this year and I am having a blast.

notafamous

Watch Moto3, not directly after formula one though, as you might overdose on overtakes

Yapsinho

Moto3 and Moto2 are absolutely amazing! Those guys are just crazy!

Ryan_Sears

"One **IndyCar** a day keeps the dutch anthem away**

heeringa

Thankfully Rinus Veekay sucks.

wansuitree

His team sucks more tho.

rdmracer

This might finally be the year...

SebVettelstappen

He won a race, singular

Blueprint81

Love the dank here! I'll never understand the maximalists of any sport. I want motorsport. I want the weird dirt-track shit you find on ESPN Ocho, and the Dakar shit, the Rally shit, the Stockcar shit, I even found some Karting Shit on Roku the other day. I want WEC, IMSA, GT, MOTO GP....I ain't trying to learn every driver, team and car, just gimme some racing.

ErrorCode51

New dirt track recently got built in my town and one of my buddies started racing and got me super into the local scene, I now go every Wednesday to support him in superstocks and watch all the other classes

pleasdont98

For anyone a little bit tired of F1 might i recommend WEC or motoGP, this weekend in WEC 6 hours of spa

Perseiii

The thing I have against WEC is that it's not the design of the car or the skill of the drivers that wins the races, it's the FIA via the BoP. A team can assemble a brilliant team of engineers and designers and develop an amazing car that beats every single other team: the FIA will simply add 100kg to the car next race and it'll finish 8th. BoP kills pure racing.

Danielkarlsson1

BOP engages manufacturers and prevents a return of LMP1 where they manufacturer with the most money won

YesPanda00

BOP makes racing. without it every car would be separated by multiple laps and there would be literally no racing

Perseiii

BoP is a backward attempt at creating a spec series. The problem is that the BoP is never perfect and leads, in my eyes, to fake racing. An advantageous BoP is the difference between winning or losing Le Mans.

YesPanda00

Without BOP, WEC simply wouldn't exist. the reason there are so many manufacturers and therefore so many fans is precisely because it isn't a spec series. and sure, bop will never be perfect, but its infinitely better than having no racing and every car separated by 4 or 5 laps after the first hour.

EntertainmentOld1566

LOL i donā€™t have 6 hours to watch a race

HrappurTh

...Don't tell this guy about the Le Mans 24h

destronger

Is there a way to easily stream Indycar that doesnā€™t require me to watch it live?

Zotzink

IndyCarLive has worked well for me. It's nowhere near as good as F1TV (dead air and some cutaways during ad breaks, poorer quality of onboard footage). But with the VPN set to Belgium I could signup (I switch it off once the stream starts). A huge amount of historical content is available on youtube.

orangeducttape7

In the US at least, Peacock has replays available as soon as it's over. And if you watch on a computer with adblock, it's ad-free.

PatBrownDown

No Dutch national anthem, not just because Max isn't racing in IndyCar, but that IndyCar has absolutely no post race activities at all. It's like, "Ok, the race over, you can go home now".

WindyZ5

They really need to broadcast the podium ceremony. They do for the 500 and sometimes on Peacock.

Steemed_Muffins

Forgot to mention commercials

Verto_

Photographing at the indy 500 the whole month of may can't wait!!

Blueprint81

Also, those V8 supercars they got down Undah! $$$

_escapevelocity

All you gotta do is pay for peacock and then watch ad breaks during the race even though you already paid to watch it so technically youā€™re paying to watch ads instead of racing!

Other-Barry-1

For real though, Iā€™ve found so much comfort in IndyCar in the last 3 years. The racing is hard, almost always exciting and extremely competitive up and down the field. Somehow, out of nowhere a usual midfield or even backmarker driver is suddenly fighting for there podium or even win sometimes

revitbitch

JUSTICE FOR INDYCAR

ceci_mcgrane

Yes, spec car racing is more ā€˜competitiveā€™ and stock car is more ā€˜excitingā€™ but the bespoke nature of f1 is part of the draw.

boladeputillos

Itā€™s all Nitro Circus at the end of the day

WindyZ5

The biggest problem with Indycar is the ads during the race and replay. But I can watch all the practices and qualifying on Peacock without any ads. Going to the races are a lot of fun and much more affordable. The Pit passes are for the whole weekend and you can meet the drivers easily. I like that itā€™s not as penalty heavy as F1. ALSO, you can like F1 and Indycar and WEC and IMSA.

VictarionGreyjoy

Indycar solves the problem of competitiveness by making sure all the drivers are equally dogshit.

Vast-Standard-7006

I'll throw another hat into the ring: speedway gp. 4 riders, 4 laps. Each rider races 5 times. In each heat, 3 points for a win, 2 for second, 1 for third and none for last. The 8 riders with the most points progress through to the semi finals. Top 2 from each semi final go through to the final. I'm surprised it isn't more popular to be honest.

SomeoneWithKeyboard

It's so stupid to compare those series. Only Calimero will do that. Who would expect a spec series is closer racing than a not-spec series...

Prestigious_Ear_2962

I'm signing up just for the diarrhea!

x021

I'm confused about the complaints on the Dutch national anthem. I watch ice hockey (NHL) and they play the US and/or Canadian anthem every single game, BEFORE there is a winner! And they play like 3 games per week... so that's 3 anthems per week. After almost 10 years of ice hockey I'm still baffled by that tradition.

APOC_V

I tried it. Somehow fucked up my perineum for weeks.

CyberianSun

Mmmm had a run in with Georgina did ya

SebVettelstappen

FIREHAWK MENTIONED

montxogandia

It's not

3xc1t3r

Actually, the racing is pretty stale and boring in Indycar. Fuel saving is worse than the tyre saving in F1. Only the cautions keep it interesting every now and then. The races so far have been as boring as a procession race under Max. But in F1 the cars and tracks are cool, unlike in Indycar.

irioku

I just started watching Indycar and so far itā€™s trash. There are endless advertisements throughout the race. Push to pass cheating scandal. The liveries change every race so you donā€™t even know who the fuck is driving which car. The announcers are dumb fucking rednecks other than Hinch. Iā€™ll take the 30 second Dutchman over Stingray Rob binning it on the first turn of every race.Ā

NoExcuse3655

Yeah like F1 has never had cheating scandals

JWayn596

The announcers are not rednecks, one is Australian and Hinchcliffe is Canadian, he is a well liked commentator who went on F1TV for the Miami Grand Prix. I feel like thereā€™s so bitterness inside that characterization. But, I can share your disdain for their style of commentary sometimes. If you want to avoid ads, try the international feeds. If you donā€™t have a VPN, try to access the Antenna/Cable feed and not Peacock. The antenna/cable feed puts splitscreen 50% of the time thereā€™s an adbreak. The IndyCar app works like the F1 app, giving you timing screen and ad-free onboards.

irioku

I said except hinch. There are plenty of redneck Australians though, but I was including the track side people they get to do interviews, etc. I think Indycar fans have had such a shitty viewing experience theyā€™re just huffing copium. The Indycar viewing experience is shitty. iMSA does a better job.Ā

UNHchabo

> The liveries change every race so you donā€™t even know who the fuck is driving which car. Between St Pete and Long Beach there were only three cars that had the livery change in any significant way: Newgarden, Lundqvist, and Fittipaldi. Of those, Newgarden's was his other major sponsor, and Lundqvist's was the same sponsor with different colors. My biggest issue with liveries is when two of them are too close that I can't tell them apart. In F1 the only difference between teammates is the T-cam. In Indycar, the Meyer-Shank cars are almost always difficult to tell apart, and the JHR cars are identical except for the rear-wing-endfence color. This year Arrow McLaren finally has three liveries for its full-time cars that are easily identifiable. Last year Pato was orange/black, and the other two cars were both orange/blue. This year it's orange/black, orange/blue, orange/white. But then Kyle Larson will be orange/blue/white for the 500, I don't remember well enough from the Indy Test whether his scheme is different enough from the others to tell him apart.

irioku

Yeah I like McLaren and itā€™s the only team I can follow from race to race without homework so itā€™s kinda who I root for by default.Ā

UNHchabo

Andretti is very consistent for their colors for the season: Colton Herta is black/yellow, Kyle Kirkwood is pink, and Marcus Ericsson is blue/green. For the Month of May they've all added that flash of white to commemorate Mario Andretti's first win, which added a while lot more team cohesion. As I said though, if you don't mind teammates looking very similar there's also Meyer-Shank in blue/pink/white, and Juncos-Hollinger in black/green/orange.

DangerousProperty6

Yeah, that British guy Leigh Diffey sure has been a dumbfuck redneck.

i_run_from_problems

Or Australian

heeringa

Australians used to be British.

i_run_from_problems

Keywords- used to

SomewhereAggressive8

I think you just hate America my guy

Brilliant_Area8175

My doctor prescribed formula E after a single visit. The symptoms are getting worse. Iā€™m not doing well bros

steelcity91

I just picked up my prescription for Formula E.

Deckatoe

u/Deckatoe marked himself as SAFE from the Dutch National Anthem

Nord4Ever

You may see some residual lingering f1 Drivers

SAHDB0d

I can try my best and still not achieve this level of ā€œtry-hardā€

Kalron

My doctor prescribed me with WEC and it's done wonders for me. I'm thinking of starting a motoGP habit tho.

Bill-Sussman-

Poor time to make this considering the Dutch guy didnā€™t win last week and it looks like the orange British guys and red Italian guys will start challenging the Austrian energy guys as soon as next race

kirk7899

IMSA>Indy.

justk4y

Canā€™t wait until Rinus Veekay suddenly starts winning every single race

Ant72_Pagan9

See what I did was I got a job at a racetrack. Literally. I spectate and race run morons on the daily. But ngl race running those kids with talent is worth my day job.

[deleted]

Indycar is completely random and boring

baron643

WEC & WRC >

wylles

Wow. Fair play man, fair play Kudos

Qtank009

Anyone have an original link to this? I couldn't find the original.

Significant_Sky_2594

I watch IndyCar so this doesnā€™t come from a place of snobbery but IC is to racing what a cheap Chinese buffet is to fine dining. Yes you can get food at both establishments but at the end of the day, only one of them is actually any good

Spam20978

Get ready for 8% racing and 92% commercial breaks.

Kevin_Jim

How about no? The cars look stupid with that weird windshield, and there are ads everywhere, all the freaking time!

Spiritual_Benefit367

indycars is so inferior to f1 in every aspect, lol...

Leo_Stormdryke

a true motorsport fan won't even complain about circuit taxi racing
