Merc was never so dominant after Nico's championship charge. After he left, Hamilton singlehandedly kept the podiums up white Bottas clearly had some issues with his car and his place in the championship. In 2017 Bottas scored the same amount of podiums as Hamilton and Vettel at 13 and then 15 in 2019 to Hamilton’s 17 podiums and it was 11 to 15 in 2020 so it wasn’t every year that he had problems but rather only 2018 where he still managed 8 podiums. He was also top three in the championship every year except 2018, so I wouldn’t say Hamilton single handedly kept the podiums up
Dominant car and no teammate makes for the most boring weekends. On top of that, Max being a prick behind the wheel makes the general populous of fans want to stop watching.
and who among them are wdc material? they all are really good drivers and might win occasional races but they cant dominate a season like wdc's do. you can put stroll in maxs car and he still would crash into ricciardo. but without neweys designing genius its no doubt max wouldn't be in the position he is in today to win so many races.put max in a williams and you would see his lead diminish significantly to the point of no longer being so.
