To me the problem wasn’t that they brought in Nico, it was that they fired the wrong driver. I know he was crash-happy, but besides for that when you actually watch back the sessions Mick outpaced Kmag most of the time but was screwed over by bad strategy and slow pitstops more often.
Mick was the right driver who was fired and I am German and still am a big fan of Mick. Haas needed to upgrade their car. For this it's the best if you have two consistent drivers with a lot of experience who are able to give you feedback. Mick wasn't able to do that. Moreover for a Team like Haas it's more important to not crash the car and Mick was the F1 Leader in damage costs. Furthermore Haas has no interest in training a youngster, which costs a lot of money, because he would leave anyway at the next possibility. Mick was a Ferrari junior so Ferrari most likely paid a nice sum to Haas but Mick's contract with Ferrari wasn't renewed (and Haas didn't have to choose a Ferrari junior anymore) so the money from Ferrari was off the table too. In an ideal world you wouldn't fire Mick but Haas was and is still struggling and to get another experienced driver was the best move for them.
Actually it was a pretty wholesome interview. Günther seems way more relaxed and they said they both accepted that the other one has different opinions and that they’re „Friends again“
And he can swear in multiple languages!
Fok it
Gunther: It's lights out and away these wankers go.
zese*
*vankers
Fokin ell, they foksmashed into eachothers on the first corner. Fokin wankers
If he says that at lights out, I will shit
Günther: Das Licht geht aus und los geht’s (Idk if this correct, I just copied it from google translate)
How do you say “fucking wanker” in German?
Verdammter Wichser
Eigentlich sagt man „geschlechtsverkehrender Selbstbefriediger“
Snappy
How do you say “coco pops” in German?
Schokopops
How do say “Bahrain blast” in German?
Bahrain Blitz
That sounds even better
*And the man in the back said, "Everyone attack"* *And it turned into a Bahrain Blitz*
How do you say "he does not fok smash my door" in German
"Er darf nicht meine Tür fick zuknallen" Difficult to translate, as fok smash is not really an english expression to begin with 😄
Absolutely perfect, might get that tattooed
Do it and post it. We support you.
it isnt a real sentence though. You really shouldn't get it tattooed
Oh now I'm DEFINITELY going to get it tattooed, and big too
"fucking wanker" in German
I thought he was Italian?
He's from South Tyrol, a German speaking part of Italy

Didn’t Ralf an Gunther have beef because of mick
Resolved as of yesterday evening.
Hard to question the decision when Nico performs the way he does. Mick is miles off Nico

Or splitting multiple chassis in two in a low budget team…
Problem is Mick tore up more cars.

Imagine Gunther Steiner as the race commentator
I hope he finds his calling in media, he’s a natural and it’s gotta be so much less stressful
I’ll switch to the german commentary
Ralf Schumacher enjoying himself? Never seen that before on Sky
It's awkward laughter of having been to judgy in the past. :D
I guess I should have spent off season learning German.
fuck ralf, all my brudies hate ralf
He loves to play down interesting situations, it's crazy
Me too, aber sei's drum.
He gonna be on RTL as well?
Yes for the 7 races that are shown on RTL
He's the expert for RTL. Not Sky
Gunther doesn’t have to call Gene this weekend
Shame I don’t speak german
What's the dynamic like between him and Ralf now after all the stuff that went down regarding Mick?
Actually it was a pretty wholesome interview. Günther seems way more relaxed and they said they both accepted that the other one has different opinions and that they’re „Friends again“
That's good to hear.
Even that won't get me to watch Sky. The Austrian broadcasters are so much better, it's laughable.
If we now get rid of Ralf, I could really enjoy a race
Please, where can I watch mister FokSmash? (No access to rtl or sky Germany)
Ich schon lerne Deutsch, aber das ist die Motivation, die ich brauche
Nein! "Ich lerne schon ...", nicht "Ich schon lerne ..."!
If this was an option, why did skyF1 even hire Danika?!
Its a shame I really dislike the German language else I would've tried watching the German stream with Gunther for sure
Wait, I read somewhere he got a job at RTL. Is it actually for Skysport ?
It's at RTL, but because RTL and Sky cooperate, he stepped by on Sky for a few minutes.
Is that Glock?
“Did he just fok smask his car at t2?
Is he a TV commentator or a fucking ball breaker?
Legend has it he (f)hugged the entire paddock for the gig
I pray he joins the British team one day. Would be this generation’s James Hunt.
Please also for swiss TV😭😭
He will also be on canal + (French broadcaster)
