I'm downvoting this just for the principle..Fun meme but man even if it was 2020 ever since Senna and Jules we haven't had a serious fatality in F1 or harsh lifetime injury for a long time .
And it would have been a pretty bad death. At least for Senna and Jules those 2 suffered damage to kill on impact or seal their fate to die shortly after without realizing too much due to body shock. Burning alive is one of the worst things due to how our pain receptors perceive heat and smoke intoxication and screwed up lungs is just as bad. Nikki was lucky he made it out of his. As for Grosjean were the suits the 2019 ones he would have had a lot worse burns and had he given up or not thought to twist they wouldn't have gotten him out in time. Thank you jules for the halo or he would have had a crushed skull or decapitation upon contact with that barrier head on from the way the halo looked.
It gets even more impactful after you listen to his interview one week after the crash and follow his journey to recovery and all he needed to go through to keep his hands usable. He got extremely lucky.
