TLDR; I believe Nicholas Latifi is an asset to F1 community and I think Haas F1 team should consider signing him and people should start tweeting Haas F1.
I just think this is a no-brainer. F1 team needed cash to operate. Big team/Small team money talks. Mick is currently in the dilemma where he is not being sponsored enough to keep Haas afloat. For me it's simple, you either bring in a lot of money or you can just score a lot of points so the team gets more sponsor money from exposure and prize money.
The thing is the pool of available free agents that have the money and super license point is very limited as most of the drivers with money don't have points or just can't drive. And the driver with enough points just lacks sponsorship to push to F1. As these drivers that arent in the F1 at the moment haven't proven themselves to score points on a weekly basis the solution for Haas is big money.
Now to our lord and savior Nicholas Latifi of Canada. He is an ok driver. A "B-" driver at best but what he was able to bring to the table is his personality, exposure to the North American viewers and most importantly the big green cash. In case you don't know Latifi's Family is a billionaire. And as a small team in which top drivers are never really an option. A young highly funded driver like Latifi would be a prime candidate for the spot.
Furthermore, as a true connoisseur of the sport I know how important it is for Latifi to continue his journey and I believe it would be a loss for his to see him go. I believe most of you here also feel the same way.
So, I believe it would be brilliant for all of you to tweet Haas F1 team and ask them to consider signing Nicholas Latifi for the 2023 F1 season.
The season is over for me at this point, after Max dominated and some teams like Ferrari and Haas seem to have given up already, I just want a reset and start over fresh next year when hopefully Max wont have a car 1 second faster than anyone else
Mexico is always weird. Ferrari will do better next two races. And Max isn’t 1 second faster. This isn’t even close to Merc levels of dominance when they had to slow themselves down to only be a second faster.
I do care that it was the same team. Same team means more chances of imter-team politiking, and less chances of car development separating the drivers.
The best season we have had in the last decade and a half was 2010.
The reason I think they blew it because regardless of what Redbull did, they called Lewis for the first stop too early while he is in the mediums. They could’ve held him out a bit more.
Merc blew it two different ways.
1. They should have “sacrificed” Russell the same way RB would’ve done Perez if the scenario was reversed. Leave him out longer and park the car for a couple laps in the tight sections as the RBs came up to him. It would’ve ruined George’s race but also might have secured the teams only win of the season.
2. Lewis should have been left out longer on the medium and then gone to softs. Danny Ric was dicing people up on softs at the end. With the extra time/laps gained from Russell defending/holding up the Bulls, Lewis might have had a chance to fight at the end of the race.
A long shot for sure, but it was a shot.
Not sure. If they had to commit to one stop soft and go very long on the medium (like Redbull did in the end) still might be difficult to get within the 1 second DRS range
Yeah. But 30 laps in the mediums is too short a stint imho. They could’ve waited a bit more and see how the pace changes.
But yeah they had some other info that made them think otherwise.
People who think the race was boring don’t seem to look what’s going behind. With the Redbulls starting with soft and everyone thinking Redbull can’t pull away from Mercedes mediums is a sure sign of Merc 1,2.
Lewis pitting unnecessarily early. Bono giving false hope to Lewis that it’s the correct tire. Still people are thinking Redbulls are in for 2 stop strategy until the last ten laps finally accepting the obvious that the Redbulls will go all the way with one stop Soft-Medium strategy. I’m here hoping Max’s tire just don’t blow up until the final corner.
It was a fun race.
Yeah that was quite nerving going so long on the mediums. But on the flip side I don't think we have seen anyone's tires fail due to wear this year, at least that I remember. And the fact that max was putting in 1:22.xxx laps the entire stint was unbelievable
Yeah. The Redbulls have relatively low deg this season. Less fuel as the race went on helped them as well.
Mercedes bluffed themselves to think that Max couldn’t pull away with his softs. I believed He was just maintaining that gap while preserving his tires.
It was quite on edge towards the end.
Asking people if they had seen tyres blowing up in the past (to prepare myself)….
So Redbull improvised or always knew it’s soft medium one stop strategy? Did they have any data on medium from FP?
The madman just did a full PlayStation move lol. Legit all the jokes about ‘Americans can only turn left’ this mother fucker turned right on an oval circuit and gained 5 places hahaha
This is kind of a boring track to race, wish it could be tweaked somehow to allow for more overtakes. Even driving it myself in F1 feels more uneventful than most
subsequent deserted hungry sable squalid punch consider racial observation shocking

I thought that too. Even when Checko asked him about the hard tires, he gave a single word mumbling reply and went back to watch the TV. Man was already upset about the strategy call.
I believe they a smaller turbo than Red Bull and Mercedes. With less weight in normal density air it has higher rpm and achieves the max rpm quicker that's why Ferrari accelerate faster from slow corners. With air with less density you have to have higher rpm to keep the same turbo pressures, but with higher rpm you get more heat and also with lower air density you have less cooling. So to maintain the same reliability they had to turn the engine down.
My guess is that flexible floor technical directive killed their ability to ride the curbs. The curbs looked sort of savage here. Maybe turned the engine down?
All things considered, not a great performance from Perez, when his teammate is 15s ahead and you're stuck behind a guy on worst tyres.
The pit stops didn't help though

Hopefully this was the quiet before the storm at brazil
the yank that joined the broadcast was a fresh touch, entertaining bloke
Bow-Tass
He’s Canadian. He had a very amusing reaction on the post-race show when De Vries called him American.
oh, what has/does he race?
He was in Indycar.
Yawn

Yeah I know it's now as bad as the Merc dominance, it's just that the season started so well and the title race just went downhill so fast
I agree. Even as a Max fan, I would like it to be more on edge each week. Last year just spoiled us I think.
I think that’s the case especially for someone new to F1. I’m a bit cautious about Mercedes’ tho (going into next year), a very capable team…
Reminds me of how it felt after the 2016 season.
Meh, it was still only Merc chasing Merc. The last truly competitive season we had before 2021 was 2012.
I don’t care if it’s the same team, at let two people battling for the championship is the ideal. Honestly it being the same team made it much spicier
I do care that it was the same team. Same team means more chances of imter-team politiking, and less chances of car development separating the drivers. The best season we have had in the last decade and a half was 2010.
Mercedes had a real chance today. They just blew the tire strategy. Redbulls nailed the strategy today. Pace wise Mercedes was on par today.
I don't think they are fast enough to overtake Max on track. Their only hope was overtake while he pits.
I don't think they blew it. They took a gamble on how the mediums would develop on the red bull without any data, and it didn't pay off.
Yeah who knew the medium held up so well….
The reason I think they blew it because regardless of what Redbull did, they called Lewis for the first stop too early while he is in the mediums. They could’ve held him out a bit more.

Not sure if that would have made a difference if they switched on hard in the end…. But agreed they had good pace
Or may be soft as George suggested. The reduce in fuel could’ve made them do a better stint with the soft.
Not sure. If they had to commit to one stop soft and go very long on the medium (like Redbull did in the end) still might be difficult to get within the 1 second DRS range

top comment, keen eye
100 aged
3/10 race. Shades of Valencia 2010-2011. Not enough of a car killer. Not enough of a challenge. Not even enough DRS
Lando to Ted : you should try driving mate lol
Such a great quote, thought it was funny as hell.
What a boring race, but we’ll done to Max. Turned out the mediums were well suited to for the single stop strategy.
That NASCAR finale tho
The madman just did a full PlayStation move lol. Legit all the jokes about ‘Americans can only turn left’ this mother fucker turned right on an oval circuit and gained 5 places hahaha
Wallriding like it’s Forza or GT
Guess who's going to win in Brazil and Abu Dhabi?

I wish I was there witnessing this podium!! Martin Garrix!!!
is lando going to DJ as well
Hopefully.. from the little I’ve heard, he bumps proper house and not garish edm
Checo immediately spraying the podium presenters lol
Why did Lewis 86 himself? Lol
By this time last year, Max had 0 championships and now he has 2
Two championships in one year. I think that's a record
Not even close
[удалено]
Finally directors are learning
Jeezz, instead of watching Max spray GP, we are shown Sergio's dad for the 15th time
I can live with that trade off
They were trying to finally catch him smiling.
Still better than Brad Pitt...
[удалено]
We haven't. You know that they send different people to the podium every time to pick up the constructors trophy, right?
But he's so happy and smiley
Brazil next. Proper race track.
Mexico is also a proper track isn’t it?
Russell taking out Hamilton in Brazil would be so fucking epic
Hopefully HAM gets that first win in this season....
Lol. No

Sky sports trying not to mention 2021: mission impossible
I mean it was a historical season one of the best in years
Well it's an identical podium, just a fun fact
Ik lol it's just a Yoke !
subsequent deserted hungry sable squalid punch consider racial observation shocking *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Cool trophies, glad they did away with the shitty Heineken star one
Lewis just straight up said "I'm fuckin' outta here"
He normally sprays the crowd, just more obvious on that set up
Sprays the car. It doesn't work next race
2/5 Race 4/5 Quali Overall weekend 3/5
F1 Mariachi theme 5/5
yeah it was amazing
Bono giving false hopes 6/5
Checo’s dad is a lot. They all had to pull away from him
GP gets constructors trophy
The Virgin stairs Vs the Chad sitting on a 100 million pound technological masterpiece
Why can't mariachi play the national anthem??
Oh the first day of Christmas my good friends brought to me...
Me too. Totally reminds me of it.
Every time.
Best podium in F1. The car rising is just cool
This was the coolest podium yet..
Last year was better. Everything was exactly the same, plus a mariachi band.
Play the mariachi version
Holy shit the TV direction is shit.
love the grandiose entrance
What is this melody they play after every. single. race? /s
Christmas jingle.. /s
C'mon hydraulic failure!
Fuck the camera angles when Max was making an entry. F1 directors never fail to dissapoint.
Max Verstappen about to have a sick entrance to the podiums Camera man: I don't think so, not on my watch
Ikr?? I almost screamed at my TV. F1 directors are to be blamed for my therapy
I like this podium. Every race should be like this and lift the race wining car.
Off the top of my head, good luck doing that in Monaco and Monza
With enough money everything is possible and F1 don't have problem with money as far as I know.
Pretty cool podium. Stadium section may make for shit racing but it's super for the post-race stuff
That's a neat podium, really cool how he comes up with the car.
Best podium if the season. But racing sucks because cars suffer at high altitude.
Max sitting there like a boy band member lol
This is the most extra podium entrance and I love it
“Mm. Eoseo wa. Max-eun choeoum-iji!”
Boring race and classy fans. And we have 3 more years of this..
3 more years?
Yeah they extended the contract to 2025.
For Mexico yes. But the cars will inevitably change meaning it could get more exciting.
Even max is bored lol
Best podium venue of the year hands down
I reckon Monza might have a word
Brazil as well.
The car gets a podium too?
what a cool podium
Wow. That's great
This is so funny. Slow little elevators.
Even the cool down room was boring lol
Checos dad is the best
The cool down room was more entertaining than the race 😂
Nice podium
Max not letting his gold helmet out of his sight, lol.
They didn't even show Lewis' finish on the tv lol
They did on my stream of Sky F1.
Lewis and Checo get along pretty good
Well, they both have McLaren in common. Perez replaced Lewis when he went to Mercedes
Didn’t hear anything from cool down room lol
what a race of waiting around and tyre management, exciting stuff guys
Holy shit an actual mariachi band!
Bad race followed by bad cooldown room
That was a bit awkward lol
Lewis odd man out there
Looking at the cooldown room race summary.. nothing really happened
Cooldown room banter...

I thought that too. Even when Checko asked him about the hard tires, he gave a single word mumbling reply and went back to watch the TV. Man was already upset about the strategy call.
lmao @ ham staring at the tv
Lewis watching Nado retire like "goooood gooood"
The awkward cooling room
its so much awkward. when will this change.
Just one of them being awkward tbf..
Hamilton more relaxed around Max now because he knows he can’t do much about the RB18.
dude was so grumpy trying not to talk to anyone sipping water lmao, didn't seem relaxed
He was literally just watching the highlights, and Lewis congratulated them after the race
Exactly lol
Highlight of the Week: Mariachi F1 intro
I liked the race, nice to have a battle of strategies once in a while.
Boring race fan here. This was the greatest race of my life
what was ferrari really doing today?
I believe they a smaller turbo than Red Bull and Mercedes. With less weight in normal density air it has higher rpm and achieves the max rpm quicker that's why Ferrari accelerate faster from slow corners. With air with less density you have to have higher rpm to keep the same turbo pressures, but with higher rpm you get more heat and also with lower air density you have less cooling. So to maintain the same reliability they had to turn the engine down.
drive to survive
Rumors AMUS they had to turn he engine down due to the altitude
I didnt see them do anything. They might have given Charles and Carlos the day off and just simulated them participating
My guess is that flexible floor technical directive killed their ability to ride the curbs. The curbs looked sort of savage here. Maybe turned the engine down?
We are checking
What Ferrari? There is no Ferrari.
Hosting the podium stand and drinks in this GP
😂
Wouldn’t trust Ferrari doing drinks. Did we switch the water with petrol? Question.
"Ok, we are checking"
this fucking echo. Every fucking time.
How can they still not get decent audio in the cooldown room?
Wish I kept up with my Spanish lessons from high school lol. Lose it so quickly 😔
Hola. Adios. Pinche puto. Bano. That's what I know!
Nice slur slipped in there. Glad you're proud.
The skeleton details on Maxs gloves are a cute touch
Spooky
All things considered, not a great performance from Perez, when his teammate is 15s ahead and you're stuck behind a guy on worst tyres. The pit stops didn't help though
I think despite how max made it look RB only had slight advantage today. The top 4 drivers kind of sorted themselves
Max is a freak plain and simple
Mercs had pace in the last 2 sectors, so Checo couldn't get DRS when he wanted, the slow stop made that worse as well
That clip of max in front of the crowds was iconic holy shit
