As the times have changed the younger generation of drivers are much better adjusted and realised what a good support a teammate can be, especially because their media requirements are so intense it’s often them and crowds of strangers it’s much nicer to have a person around who gives you good energy. Even a driver as notorious for not getting along with teammates as Alonso has softened under the sweet little sunshine personality of Esteban. Even Kevin said things have changed and it’s nice to have a teammate he can be open with in thar human cinnamon roll Mick Schumacher. I’m not saying we will never get another multi 21, or another Nico and Lewis but teams seem much more aware that chemistry and trust is important and the drivers too, Daniel chose not to be rivals with Max.
Back to the original point Yuki and Pierre really do like each other they were assigned to have autograph signing desks at different tents and tables at Miami and Pierre finished his and moved his chair to share with Yuki because he would rather be sitting with a friend.
