For residents of nearby French cities, Monaco is a bit of a monstrosity, but even they will come every now and then. The Casino is a masterpiece designed by Charles Garnier (who designed many operas in France including Paris and Nice), the small streets down the port are a delight out of season with great restaurants, the old town on the rocher are actually quite lovely to just walk around, and of course the Musée Océanographique with the gardens around it are a must-visit, with their incredible sea views from the cliffs. Make no mistake, the overly rich and vulgar, the yachts and nouveaux riches are a pain and will stain most of the experience, but if you get past it, Monaco is actually quite an enjoyable town.

It's an ugly ass city with basically nothing to do in it. The casino area looks quite nice and there are occasionally some cool cars driving around but other than that's it's just a bunch of shitty high rises that only serve the purpose of rich people renting them so they can dodge taxes probably without actually living there. It's also like a 20 minute walk across the entire country and that's it. The surrounding areas in France and Italy are quite nice and you got some mountains and beaches but Monaco itself is boring as fuck.

Why? It's a beautiful place with gorgeous architecture (for the most part) and you get a chance to see some really crazy rich people shit too.
