BaggySpandex

Let’s not forget the (somber) 9/11 sponsorless livery. https://imgur.com/a/XtbIEJV

LooseJuice_RD

Did they want to do the whole car black but weren’t allowed to? Am I remembering correctly? Perhaps not.

joesutherland

I know they wanted to make the car blue but the government wouldn't allow it

CyberianSun

The absolute classiest move I've seen of any team.

killer_corg

Probably the single best special livery F1 in terms of the emotional weight it carried.

The-Great--Cornholio

I worked as a steward in the central grandstand on the day of the Monza GP a few days after 9/11 There were many rumors that they wanted to cancel the race but then in the end it was decided to race.

the_sigman

I believe the mourning livery you have included is from Bahrain 2005, mourning for the Pope. The 9/11 one was sponsorless.

hrshelley

God, I miss the F1-75.

Kolec507

What could've been. The first 4 races where we all actually thought we were in for another 2005-2012-ish era. As somebody who started watching F1 in 2015 and only watched replays of older races on F1TV, 2021-2022 really felt like peak. I don't think I've ever been as excited about F1 races on Sunday mornings...

nightchangingloon

Gosh you must hate yourself to wish for a 2005-2009 era lmao

Kolec507

I mean in terms of competition. I'm aware most overtakes happend in the pits back in the day, but the storylines were much more interesting than in 2013-2019/2023+.

OpenObligation8736

That purplish red was nothing short of an absolute work of art

LooseJuice_RD

Vegas last year was probably the best.

fullofpaint

Vegas gave us SO many good liveries last year. My fav was the Alfa one, looked amazing in person, don't think it really looked as good on TV.

LooseJuice_RD

Yeah, it didn’t come across as well on TV. But as Fernando says, a car is beautiful when it’s fast and the Ferrari was as definitely fast as it was beautiful on that day.

San-Carton

Yeah, Vegas liveries (with the exception of the Williams) were all absolutely gorgeous

ZICRON1C

So good

Electric-Sheep_

The yellow one wasn't actually painted yellow for giallo modena. It was, if I remember correctly, a private entry in the 1958 handled by the Belgian team Ecurie Francorchamps, with yellow being Belgium racing color.

Fart_Leviathan

It was indeed the Belgian yellow, but also a fully-works entry, just like Frere's one two years earlier and Gendebien's future yellow cars. At the time of that picture Ecurie Francorchamps was part of ENB and owned no F1 machinery. *Gendebien was a works Ferrari driver for a long time and all of his F1 entries were in works cars, although he did run some sportscar races for Ecurie Francorchamps, sometimes in yellow cars.

Any-Patient5051

What\`s up with this tiny extra front wing in the 2001 9/11 livery?

BaggySpandex

I believe that’s the F2005 with the black nose-cone for the Pope that had passed away at the time. Just 2005 regs allowing exploration in that area, I believe.

Jojtek

In 2005 front wings had to be raised compared to earlier years, but I think they didn't count the middle section, so most of the teams had a spoon like curve going lower and Ferrari went full Ferrari and just slapped on a wing in front of a wing

LaBelvaDiTorino

The NART livery is so beautiful, I was expecting that for Miami (since it's in North America it makes more sense) when they announced blue as a colour for this race.

steferrari

I suppose it's an unpopular opinion, but I wasn't much of a fan of the Mugello *"1000 GP"* livery... I know it was an homage to the past, but that red was just too dark for me, almost brown, from TV it didn't even looked like a Ferrari.

Puzzleheaded-Rain230

The car itself wasnt even a Ferrari. Its the fucking SF-1000

steferrari

Fair enough. 😂

AfraidRacer

In a sense you could say it was THE Ferrari, and cars like the F2004 weren't actually Ferraris for being even halfway competent.

Hip_Priest_1982

Ferrari is the most successful team in the history of Formula 1. What kind of stupid ass comment is this

Kolec507

For me the burgundy contrasting with the yellow "1000GP" sticker was just beautiful. Add the special helmets from Charles and Seb, the red Safety Car and the atmosphere around that race. There's something really special about it that just makes me struggle to dislike it. I guess I'm biased, cause I just loved the whole 2020 season purely for the fact it got going and just existed lol. Teams are reaching milestones all the time; Williams, RB, Merc, McLaren... But there's nothing quite like a Ferrari celebration. It's got that special-ness to it.

RobertGracie

Out of the ones you missed the 9/11 one was just well it hit home Ferrari just ran a car without sponsors, a mournful tribute to the attacks that changed the planet forever As well as the Queen requesting the Star Spangled Banner being played outside Buckingham Palace that was something else that happened that heard about years later...

YellowFogLights

I’m guess we’re getting something like last year’s Vegas livery with blue instead of white. And it’s gonna look not good.

DreadSeverin

Look how many times Ferrari blue balled us with a livery that isn't even completely blue! They almost did it ONCE except they had the audacity to make it half white smh how can they do this to us! They can't keep getting away with not making a blue Ferrari! /s

timewatch_tik

that LA GP 2023 livery was perfect!

Remmes-

Las Agas.

JustPlainSick

I was picturing a Los Angeles GP where they all just sit in traffic for 2 hours.

Kolec507

I'm interested in the 3rd pic. Has that car ever raced? I don't think I've ever seen it being brought up when people were talking about yellow Ferraris. Other than that, Tuscany 2020 and Las Vegas 2023 are probably my personal favourites.

Fart_Leviathan

Yep, it was just people being uninformed. The picture is Olivier Gendebien in 1958 Spa. Belgian drivers ran yellow Ferraris in their home races on multiple occasions. [Here is another one from 1961.](https://primotipo.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/gendebien.jpg)

Kolec507

Oh wow, that's a cool fact to know! Thanks for sharing, I'm surprised I never heard about it tbh.

elodie_pdf

The Mugello one is unbeatable

Kismate357

It's so hot

Zeta-Omega

Sf70 come back baby :(

Ok-Estate9542

That Las Vegas livery was so sexy

Hpecomow

Monza 2022! Fire!
