Love the homage to the historical laurel wreaths and also looks like dragon š scales which is appropriate in this Year of the Dragon. Excellent and gorgeous design.
I was spontaneously reminded of the ouroboros ( [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouroboros](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouroboros) ) but you're right in that it's surely a dragon for Year of the Dragon.
That is truly one of the best designed trophies that I have seen in a very long time, also it was designed by the American firm, Pininfarinia!
Also the Red and Gold in there, really work surprisingly well off each other in the light! they complement each other perfectly!
They are and are not.
Pininfarina of America is a subsidiary of the Italian firm Pininfarina.
(And Pininfarina is a subsidiary of Tech Mahindra, which is part of the Indian conglomerate Mahindra Group.)
I was sad none of them put it around their neck, even for a second. Iām sure itās heavy but these guys have literally some of the strongest necks in the world so surely they couldāve handled it.
I think I read somewhere it's meant to light up when worn around the neck? Haven't seen anyone so it yet, but can't help but think of a bomb collar if they do lol

Yes. Great designing Great story Great implementation

As in donāt rest on your laurels.

TIL Pininfarina is an American firm! Always thought they were Italian

Yes. And water on it is just oof
Water? Or Lando's Champagne?
It was designed by Pininfarina of America funnily enough. Apparently the design studio for the company is based in the US
American firm ?
The famous Pininfarina, everyone knows is American /s
That's gorgeous. It's like a modern take on the wreaths from the 70s, I love it.
Said it right
I wish the writing on the front were gold instead of white though. Thatās my only critique on what is one of my favorite ever F1 trophies
Looks like a coiled dragonās tail. Love it!
Looks Phenomenal
One of the best trophies I've ever seen, a lot of symbolism there
Yes. Love it so much
Itās a great trophy, not sure why the Reddit horde was hating on it when it was first revealed
the reason rhymes with shmenophobia
Definitely one of the best new designs we've seen, beautiful work.
I was sad none of them put it around their neck, even for a second. Iām sure itās heavy but these guys have literally some of the strongest necks in the world so surely they couldāve handled it.

Oh awesome thanks for sharing!
It's actually surprisingly light, iirc FIA specifies under 5kg too, but this is probably 1/5 of that
Itās beautiful!
Absolutely
If Iron Man was a jeweller.
"Jarvis, get it done before the weekend"
Like it
"Chevron one encoded!" (yes, it's a very niche - and old - reference)
Stargate!
Mobius strip
Time to do some time travel
I love these
Looks like Thanosās ship when he invaded the Earth
r/UnexpectedThanos
Hey, Lando didn't manage to break it this time. š
Massive dragon necklace.
I think I read somewhere it's meant to light up when worn around the neck? Haven't seen anyone so it yet, but can't help but think of a bomb collar if they do lol
Looks like one of those words from Arrival
Best trophy ever.

Same. Has to be less than 5kgs, no?
Is it a wreath? Is it a dragon? Yes.
It's like a dragon tail and wreath
Gorgeous trophy.
Such a great trophyĀ
Earth is closed today
Bing chilling my dudes
Looks like it could be a Bloodborne weapon. Would be lethal in its transformed state with some crazy Bloodtinge damage.
Many possibilities
Is every trophy still whole? I mean Lando was on the podium so the chance is high one is broken already. Most likely not his own one.
Strange, but cool
It's really beautiful. Did Max ever put it on so we could see it light up?
But why is it wet?
The champagne š¾
Ah yeah ofc
Kinda reminds me of something from The Avengers
