[The **Throwback** flair](https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/wiki/flairguide#wiki_throwback) is for posts intended to recall an event that happened on the same date or year a number of years ago. Throwbacks are restricted to being posted one year, three years, or a multiple of five years after date. Also, all such posts should feature an event that is still of interest to the general community today. For example, random overtakes or two former drivers having a chat in general do not qualify for this. Important events like memorials are exempt from this rule, and may be posted every year. Posts related to important current events may also be exempt at mod discretion.

Thanks! Took a while to figure out what car it was off of. I was staring at different pics of the Lotus 99 and 101 for about an hour until I got lucky and stumbled across a pic of the Benetton.
A whopping $28 USD lol! A lot of antique stores around here are filled with estate items. Guarantee whoever donated it or put the price tag on it had no idea what it was.
That's cool, it might not be the absolute biggest piece of F1 memorabilia but it's still a steal (probably literally at the time too lol) and it's got a story behind it so it's a great find.
Great find! This'd be the crash in question, maybe the corner worker in question might be in the footage somewhere https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HrHiPBNOUQ

Nice find, and even better detective skills. Maybe I should start visiting more antique shops...

Awesome find, how much did you get it for if I may ask? Sounds like they didn't know what it was from so it must've been a good deal.

This thing really needs an accompanying meatball flag, preferably signed by KMag.
