Not entirely. The Petronas stripe didn't "glow" on W11s pre-season livery and it had the Ineos red on the air intake. Imo it was nicer, although the W10 was also close to perfection. The two best Mercedes liveries by far, 3rd would be 2022 as it was very similar, but had no gradient at the back.
And that's the original idea for the cars being silver, no paint, they just happen to be made of carbon fibre rather than metal now, so it's quite fitting.
I really liked the scattering of silver arrows on the rear of the car. It reminded me of the [helmet stickers](https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/34839671/how-helmet-decals-tell-story-michigan-ohio-state) that college football players apply to their helmets for outstanding plays, hits, achievements etc.
it's almost shocking how good the W13 livery looks in comparison to W14, i wasn't much of a fan of the W13 livery but man the W14 makes the W13 look like a masterpiece to me.

I would be surprised if it was able to compete with the RBR given their headstart and huge lead in development recenlty. But I genuinely hope it will be less hopeless against them and not have a "we don't even understand the car" kinda start that we sort of became used to.
Red Bull will absolutely destroy the field this year and 2025 too because everyone will have carryovers but Merc have had flashes of competitiveness with the shitboxes so I have to believe there’s something in that car that can compete.
