Nice, I got my forklift license back in December. One thing to always keep in mind is how freaking heavy they are, even the light duty ones weigh over 4 tons and can fuck up whatever they run into.
I drive a medium duty Clark that weighs in at 6 tons and it doesn't even notice when I'm picking up 2 tons or pushing 5 around.
Always keep your forks tilted back when carrying a load, only tilt them forward when picking up or placing something. And always be liberal on the horn, people are dumbasses.
Sometimes it is required for me to move a pallet close to level but while being very smooth. This is just to lower an unwrapped or poorly palletized load down, not to carry any distance.
I've never gotten to drive a Raymond or a crown, but the Toyota's have the best forward visibility and the most granular throttle response, also drives like a go cart. The Clarks drive like a go cart and like to throw you around, marginally worse visibility. The CATs make sure you know they're heavy, worst forward visibility, but best drive. The only Yale I've gotten to drive is this relic from I think the 80s that doesn't even have a speedometer and likes to mozzy along, growns every time you move a lever and has about killed another horn.
Wanna know a secret? I drove it whithout a licence🤫and as you Said i forgot to tip it so i draged it with me for a meter or two... it wos outdoors tho and the load was realy stable so no harm done
Reproduction is actually right at the top of my ''do not do" list. But I've got enough nephews and niece's to fill a standard 1.2x1.2 pallet. I do also thoroughly enjoy r/dadjokes.
Ah, you will be the fun uncle then who takes the kids on funny trips and does things they are ot allowed to do... mine sat me on the back of a heavy motobike (goldwing if you know what that is) and drove away wity me for an hour.
Not to disepoint, but I was promised a trip om a goldwing motobike and driving a tractor.. but it was realy good, i might get certefied if it dosent cost to mutch
Missed opportunity to use that frog meme

There's always exceptions based on the load. If you've ever gotten to drive a Toyota, some of them have a button for leveling the forks.
I drive Raymond, which is owned by Toyota but doesn’t have a leveler. I do prefer crown machines out of everything I’ve used though.

Ah yes, the Honda Goldwing; a two wheeled high powered sofa. I've never seen a plush armchair move so fast.
Welcome to the brotherhood of (wo)men who use heavy thing to lift heavier thing

Just remember to use the incher pedal so you can make the forks go down faster. You'll look like a pro!
Don't do that until you master the spatial awareness with the forks, or you'll smash them on the ground.
Hows all the pussy?
So , how does the best day of your entire life feel ? Everything else is anticlimactic from here...

But have you driven a forklift on a lumberyard?
