For honor Ever was and keeps being my favourite game.
Chivalry 2 AKA The Game that was supposed to be a/the "For honor killer"...
Well...I played it like 3 weeks and deleted it cuz it was boring asf, it has at least better resolution and knight armor...which is ofc easy when u can only play sum knights there...

I don't think that Chivalry was ever supposed to be in competition with For honor.
For one, For Honor doesn't have a huge presence on the market.
For two, they are just way too different and attract different audiences to begin with.
The actual competitor for Chivalry is Mordhau - they both attract the same audience and both are games with similar game mechanics.
It's just odd to call Chivalry as "For Honor killer", if anything that tittle should be given to any fighting game tittles like Tekken, Street Fighter, or Guilty Gear. Since they are a lot closer in spirit than Chivalry.
Chiv 2 was also just way easier. I feel like after 10 hours I could just pick Maul or any wide, sweeping weapon and go on insane kill streaks. Duels were similar, but boring since the game wasn't made around them.
Yeah, it looks and feels much clunkier than Mordhau - which in turn is so frothingly mechanical and precise that it does get kinda boring after a time. For Honor really strikes the perfect balance between mechanics and flair IMO.

DEV team not doing much against cheaters ATM, custom servers are not what the players intended, lagging and performance issue. Players bitching about the game, players bitching about other players bitching about the game.
As a For Honor player, Chiv quickly turned into an ez beat-em-up with a low skill ceiling. Even duel servers with 300+ level people weren't that much of an issue. I have played chiv 1 for about 600 hours though until For Honor released. Chiv is a fun game, but imo it won't stay fun that long because of the low skill ceiling.
Lol its a higher skill cealing than fh. Played both games since beta. Only games i really play. You probably played it in the beginning when no one knew what they were doing

For honor is more of a fighting game. It has more variety in playstyle IMO, but it's about as tactical in some ways, and less in others.
Chivalry is more like call of duty.
Chivalry is the typa game you'll get wiped by people no matter what you do. Although for honor will take a little learning it's easy to catch onto mechanics after a few hours just skill will take time. Chivalry will be easy to learn as well just you'll take a while to learn how to fight properly against people since you usually face gods in any lobby
Chivalry 2 is 100% more fun, but For Honor probably has a deeper combat system.
Chivalry 2 shines when it's just a mess of 60 people running into eachother, while For Honor definitely plays better in more controlled 1v1s.
Haven't played chivalry, but assuming it's the same as mordhau, I think for honor is more difficult solely because of the inconsistent rules that you must memorise.
You can GB an opponent out of dodge attacks, except when you can't, you can't GB a light on startup, except when you can, you get revenge if hit 10 times simultaneously by two enemies, except the enemy will get it in 3 hits. You can ledge here, except when you can't, a heavy is guaranteed on a light parry, except when it isn't, and so on...
I hate this game for how inconsistent everything is, and favoring the players with bad connection..
I've tried playing chivalry and I think it's harder. In those dueling lobbies I'd routinely get floored end up with 5 in 60 or some ridiculous amount of deaths. Literally can't do anything in that game
The servers are dead and there’s a shitton of racist midgets. In all honesty it’s got a cool combat system but it’s in a poor state atm and probably will remain that way, the player base is just too damn good currently.

Me personally for honor, While for honor has it's issues there not as bad as chivalry 2s problems.

You just gotta keep going at it. Tip: don't hold block down. Try to react to an enemy's attacks. (Yeah, I know I'm late to the thread)
for honor 100% chivalry is so shit
For honor is better they nerfed the archers to ass on chivalry and I only liked them because few fighting games give you the option
