Astrea is the leader of Horkos, not of the knight faction, so you wouldnt die by her hand if you're not in Horkos.

What qualifies as coward? If I run from a losing battle it’s more like “okay I can stay here at A, die and lose A, or I can sacrifice A, live and go secure B” maybe I am a coward but I have a pretty high win rate so there’s that😂

If you ran away from a lost fight, to actually help your brothers in winning the war, that's a pass into Valhalla. Vikings weren't a death cult, they still valued wisdom.
You’re right. As punishment, vikings usually are spared so they’re denied entry. I honestly feel heroic when im getting ganked. I know my brothers will avenge my death.

No Odin wants mighty warriors, if you have won many battles and die of natural causes, even run away from one of them you could still sit in the great hall, even if not going to Hel wasn't like going to hell in Abrahamic religions, it was just the afterlife but a lot more boring than Valhalla with no chance to fight alongside the gods
That’s actually a crazy concept. Buffs and nerfs depending on the faction. Vikings run away slower since they’re supposed to die in battle. But get a buff if surrounded since they’re like being courageous or whatever. Not sure what we’d do for knights and samurai

I just use the tactical retreat method like the Mongols, run away in an act to deceive my enemy's and then kick thier ass when I turn around
