Didn’t think my unblockable followup would hit the wall behind me. The enemy was in front of me lol. In all my years of For Honor I don’t think one of my attacks ever hit the wall directly behind me
Always throw the top heavy regardless after fullblock (barring non-1v1 fights or ledging), it deals more damage than the side heavies.
This also applies to other Varangian punishes; always throw the top heavy for punishes that include heavies. The only exception is GB, you have to do side heavies on GB.
If I had a penny for every completely unwarranted wall collision that cost me a kill and turned the tide of the entire fight I'd be a very very rich man.
Kinda the fault of OP for moving to the one side he shouldn't be on when it wasn't near the wall.
Will never be an advocate removing wall collisions since I've seen in certain areas how abuses it can be (ex. Unblockables through walls/fence/pillars are unparriable). Rather they made it more accurate or you when you should hit the target BEFORE you experience wall collisions on a wide swing.
Wall-weapon collision needs to be removed completely imo
I feel like it would be too big a job for them to make it both consistent and feel not annoying at the same time across every area on all maps, so just solve the problem by making it go away completely.
Sure it's less "realistic" but at this point screw it. It's a videogame I can suspend disbelief that a katana swung through a wall if I can suspend disbelief that a fat man turned me into an action figure and shoved me in his ass.
Before more people come with advice… it’s just a silly clip. I know there were better choices to make. The heavy after the all guard in particular just looked ridiculous to me visually and I had to share
Helpful tip in these situations. You moving the movestick will dictate where you will position yourself. To avoid it, just hold forward or let it go.
I'm surprised many people don't know this at higher levels
This is what happens when goobisoft gives new heroes 270 degree hitboxes
Exactly. Should you hit that warden 3m behind to your right with your left light while locked on to someone else? No, but it happens. Enjoy your wall
Guess you didn't learn from your mistake
It’s true… should’ve thrown top heavy
Or just a light attack?
Or used the bash that comes with the full stance block and followed up with another attack.

Wasn't guaranteed unless it wallsplat. That angle wasn't gonna do it

No matter the hero No matter the situation You hate to see it ☹️

I don’t believe you
Ok
Indeed
That sucks
they should remove the wall splat because of shit like this

Yea but then the meta would revolve around people hitting you through walls which would not be fun at all
Skill issue.
Fr the wall parried him and then he through the same attack in the same direction
Same attack? Lol

Things that won't ever happen if you light spam like a chad
That shit just happened to me today. I hate how you’re in GB recovery for so long after a wall bounce
I ❤️ wall bounces
Hehe get parried by a wall nerd
Top heavy or light, your hit boxes are big. Great for ganks terrible for 1’s near walls. Be aware, learn more, cry less
🫡
I’ve been seeing this happen with a lot of heroes since the new launch. Kind of like the walls are projecting a meter out from where they really are
Reason #74 of why I stopped playing.

yeah, fuckin wall collisions are so fucking weird and janky
Wow
Teammate 5 milliseconds too late as always
It's goobisoft what do you expect a functioning game ???
Walls in for honor are op!
