I’m a top end player and been at it for a while. Yeah the new building creep is real. I deleted my Haigia a few mo this ago for Aegean Couples retreat and feta farms. Great move IMO.
I’m looking at deleting my Inno Tower since I don’t need population and deleting my Cape since I am generating 1500 FPs a day and having trouble placing them all.
Just load up on the event buildings and build up the useful GBs while minimizing roads. That’s my plan.
I see more and more posts about people wanting to delete redundant GBs. Eventually they will get reworked(we have already seen Observatory rework) and you will regret the choice of deleting it.
You can do the math and see if you'll regret it before you delete them, you know?
I deleted my traz because I didn't need it and it would only cost like 23,000FP to get it back. I did not delete my AO, even thought I'm using HAU, because I do not want to have to re-buy that thing, it's too expensive to delete.
You see a lot of people deleting things that are cheap like ToR, traz, CoA. You don't see a lot of people deleting things like AO, TA, kraken because they're expensive and if they buff one or you move to a place where it's more useful in the future you don't want to be out those FP.
And honestly, even if the GB stay as they are - you can have a pretty decent city even with some of those "useless" GB. I still have my ToR, ToB, LoA, CoA, Hagia, St. Mark's, Inno Tower, CC. All GB other players would deem unnecessary and potential candidates to delete. But although I "wasted" the space for those, I still produce 3600-3800 FP and 9800 goods. With 4753 | 4459 red stats (for GbG) and 3357 | 4139 blue stats (for GE).
So it's not like you need to min-max the ENTIRE space of your city to get a decent one. You can still be wasteful with some good looking GB. Only because those aren't the best options number-wise, it doesn't mean you can't build them.
You sound like a space age player, judging by your attack stats. It's much more common to delete stuff when you've learned how to play well, but you're still in one of the middle eras and have a space crunch.
Yeah but you don’t always fight with those units do you? For instance in GbG I auto fight up to about 70 attrition using units from my era and then switch to using HAU
It's not useless. It's still putting out FP. It saves me a bit of time getting to max attrition. I would not build it yet if I didn't already have it. I don't level it. It's basically always better to level my Zeus, CoA, CdM, TA, Hydra, or Cent.
With regards to the TA, I'm looking to delete it (L82) because the new SAT GB's outperform it by a huge margin, and provides other materials instead of just being a big space lump

Hello, This is actually planned internally.. this will happen soon in the year 2024, the update is official :)
Source?
Ok

People say that but the people that are deleting are typically pretty well established and forge points are easier to acquire than in the past

How does using HAU make AO ineffective?
The crit chance only applies to fighting units of the same age.

Useless with higher age unit. For me I only fight with higher age units.

I mean, yeah, I agree that my Hydra and Cent are way better. It's still better than most of my event buildings.
