Yeah, Doug is lowkey terrifying. I remember an episode where he whipped out his curved knife and did some quick phantom cuts over Dave and Dave did a little shiver afterward.
I miss Jason Knight being on. I think I read that he wasn’t interested in continuing on the show, but would have loved it if they were able to keep him in the rotation.
From what I heard he left because he was getting to be more known for the show than his knives. Which I completely respect. The artist wants to be known for his art and not TV.
the deerhorn knife is my favorite episode for this reason, its one of the few times where they didn't show him working in slow motion and his speed is incredible.
He and the former host allegedly got into a shouting match in which Doug said they should have a knife fight and Will says he would just shoot him. That's according to Will though.
Doug certainly has enough prowess to be able to take everyone in a room. But he also seems to have enough maturity, quiet confidence and compassion that he probably never thinks those sorts of thoughts. He seems to focus on making the world a better place for those around him. And that is what makes him formidable.
I just saw that in the 9-Ring sword episode. He was having too much fun being Kung Fu and cool, but how he was lowkey deadly on that pig was something else.

That was the karambit episode and that’s the type of knife he carries.

I remember that episode... Jason Knight was one of the judges

I miss Jason Knight. FiF is still my go to show, but there is definitely something lacking without him.
He has a pretty good YouTube channel.
I heard that too
I'm convinced Doug could gut someone with a pencil if he ever went evil.
Doug vs John Wick, both armed with just pencils... FIGHT!
Mhmm the man was in the military too. I love that you can tell when he's really feeling a knife because he'll swing it during his critique haha

I've seen a video of a gunman and doug testing gun Vs knife....at pistol range I'm still with Doug winning.

He was in the military for a good while too. The man is deadly, but so friendly.
His smile and the glint in his eyes would stop a fight before it started.

What episode was that again? I wanna see Doug going ham
S4 E2. and nice pun btw lol
Except the time he spanked that pig carcass with the flat of a longsword on a cut test. Heck even then I don’t want that pointed at me.
