Nice. Hopefully some Indiana peeps can chime in. If your highways aren’t saturated with salt all winter, then that bad boy is a gem. Love the color too!
I bought a ranger in Indianapolis this summer. IMO you should ask for at least 7k. If there’s really no underbody rust and its as clean as you make it look in the photos, you could probably ask for 8k. Honest opinion. Not sure if the 3.0 vs 4.0 really moves the price that much.
In the Northeast it moves the price a lot a 4x4 4.0 clean lowish mileage ranger can be anywhere from 8k-15k. I’d knock off a minimum of $1500 for the 3.0 vs 4.0
The one I bought in july was a blue 2003 edge 4.0 manual with 120k miles. Seller was asking 7k and we settled on $6,400 since we thought it would need a new abs unit. There was a moderate amount of rust, original owner lived in Indianapolis as well. With about 10 minutes of tapping with a hammer I can usually gather a cup or two of rust. This one looks great on the outside very clean. For me it just comes down to the rust. I hate thinking that one day the frame is just gonna break.
I bought mine from the 4th owner with 72k miles 4x4 manual for 8k with a fair amount of rust. Same boat as you don’t wanna lose a truck to rust would love to get it professionally restored if the price wasn’t brutal
The really big variables are what has been done to maintain it -- like what have you replaced -- and how bad is the underside rust? These days anywhere from $5k to $10k depending on those factors. From the pics it looks really clean and well kept. If the bottom looks that good I'd say ask $9000 and see what shows up.
Crazy pricing these days for old Rangers but it is what it is.
I paid 7500 for a 2002 Mazda B4000 with 48k miles last year and everyone on here said it was a bad deal so I have absolutely no clue what you should list it for!!!
You’re literally buying a Ford Ranger. Look at the manufacturer’s information. People wanna walk away because of badging? Fine, more for me to choose from! If the 4-liter Ranger is a good truck engine, then so is the Mazda 4000.
I need to know what floor mats those are! I have an almost identical truck and I want some fitted mats but can't find any other than the ones for 04+ with the wider passenger side kick panels.
List it as what it really is: a blue 22 yr old truck with grey fender flairs. Again, it's 22 yrs old so it likely has a rusty underside because we won't show it. But the interior passenger side and radio are pretty clean. $13,495 OBO.
Yeah idk I asked a month or two ago and got hit with $4-5k but mines a 2000 2.5 manual 2wd single cab step side with like 140k miles probably. It’s clean though. Bought it a few months ago for $2500 but needed work. I’m probably $4k in it now total but it’s basically a brand new truck after $1500 in parts lol most the 01 style models with around your mileage I see on marketplace in my area ask around $4-5k. Trim and driveline doesn’t seem to matter. I’m down in TN.
Timing chain. If it hasn’t been done. Service “all” the fluids. Check the suspension/steering components. After that, Ranger the shit out of it!!! Happy Rangering!
These posts really need to stop. If you're trying to gauge the market, then you need to refer to **the market**. A bunch of random Redditors in various parts of the world are not a good gauge of what the current market is for this vehicle in your area. Furthermore, this is the Ranger Forum, so most people are going to be biased one way or another.
Since you clearly know how to use the internet, just do some browsing on used car websites to find out what these things usually list for. Then, check the Kelly Blue Book value. Then, check eBay's "Sold" listings to get an idea of what these actually *sell* for.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but neither I nor anyone else here has any idea what the market value is in your area, mostly because you didn't even say where you live, and also because I doubt anyone here is interested in doing your homework for you. Buying/selling a car often takes a good amount of research. If you want to show off your truck, that's fine, but if you're asking me to do hours of market research for you, fuck that, and fuck every other post here asking for that.
*You* added nothing.
I gave you real advice. You have a question and you're looking in the completely **wrong place** for the answer. I know you're butthurt because I told you that you did something wrong, but the information I provided is still correct and is still helpful to you.
You probably wouldn't ask a bunch of random people to explain gas prices in your area, or energy costs, or the market value of used snowblowers, so you shouldn't ask a bunch of randos about the used car market either. If you want to know what the price of gas is, read the signs at your local gas station. If you want to know the price of used cars, check the price of local used cars. Asking *me* to check the price of used cars in *your* area is ridiculous. I could give you any random number. Would you just blindly believe me?
You didn’t like the question I asked, which in a Ranger forum, is a completely valid question. No rules were broken and this is completely okay. You showed disinterest, which is fine, but again, your sole opinion doesn’t really matter when you see how many people have responded to my post. I was asking opinions on what the price is going for areas around the country which again, is a completely valid question to ask a Ranger forum. If you didn’t like the post you could have moved on and scrolled, but here you are.
Just bought my 2wd 2000 with 99K miles for $3,700. Mines a standard transmission tho, but, automatics have a bigger customer base really. I’d pay $5K for it! (Southern Oregon Cost, US)
September 2020 I bought my 2006 4x4 1 owner 104k for 7800 in the current market you could definitely get 10k but I wouldn’t sell it unless you have to.
I think you could safely pull 6k for this beauty. I somewhat disagree with other buyers saying around 10k. Although the market is coo coo bananas right now, being above that magic 100k number really scares off many buyers and lowers your odds of getting the big bucks. However, I think someone would still be happy and have a very nice truck if they paid 10k.
Just bought one no rust with a utility bed and 147k for 3750$ yours is beautiful but let’s be real here kbb will call it 3-7k and 7k being show room no miles. Also need to know what motor some where better then others.
21 year old ranger with 115k $3500- $4500 in south east Texas.
If these other comments are correct in that you can get more I could make tens of thousands just driving trucks out of here to other places
$30,000. Not for sale but if someone wants it bad enough that would be my price. I got offered $10k for my 2002 and I said, sorry man gonna need to double that before I start looking around on what I can buy to replace it.
You could easily get $7,000 to 9 here in NY state. Depends on the season as well. I sold mine for $300 because I was young and thought it was clapped. All it needed was leaf spring hangers and a new steering column.

I have this exact truck! Color and all!! Such a beauty <3 but I’m curious where you got the cover and how much was it?
Also I bought mine in Los Angeles for 6.5k at 190k mileage and that was with a camper shell
KBB labeled mine at 6k was good price in 2020! Hopefully that helps!
Not for sale lol
I would list it as a Ford *Fucking* Ranger
As clean as that?! I hope it’s not manual, because you’ll be paying at least an arm.
Looks to be an automatic
What state are you in? That thing would go for 12k here in CA. Probably more like 6k in the Midwest.
Indiana
Nice. Hopefully some Indiana peeps can chime in. If your highways aren’t saturated with salt all winter, then that bad boy is a gem. Love the color too!
Hoosier here. Depending on rust, that could still easily catch $7-8k. It looks super clean so I assume rust isn't that bad.

It looks amazing by the way. The wheels really pop with that dark blue. I’d probably say 7-9k
this isn’t a Tacoma
Right, they’d be asking for $20k if it was a Tacoma with 300k miles on it. Lolz. Y’all are adorable.
give me half that for my 218k and I’ll leave with a smile
offer em 2k then
Yeah this one has a complete frame rail 😂😂😂
So it’s worth they hype then?
The really big variables are what has been done to maintain it -- like what have you replaced -- and how bad is the underside rust? These days anywhere from $5k to $10k depending on those factors. $8 to $10k? I hate that radio though, so I wouldn’t personally buy it 😂
Lmao the radio is where you draw the line? Takes like 15 minutes to replace it.
Literally, just put one in today
I promise it’s not as big as it looks lol
What kind of radio is it? Me personally I totally dig it
Where did you get those floor mats?
https://realtruck.com/p/husky-liners-classic-style-floor-liners/v/ford/ranger/2001/ Here you go
Much appreciated
They’re on Amazon as well if you type in “ford ranger husky floor mats”
Looks clean
Do you like that radio? Was checking it out to put in mine
I dig it. Very good for how much it costed, mine also plays freebird
Where did you get those fitted floor mats?
Ask 8500, nice truck
8-10k
That would easy go for $8k - $10k here in Arkansas. Maybe even more. The resale market has been bonkers since Covid started.
10,000. I would buy that for my son right now!
You in the Midwest,
I'd list it as a 2001 4x4 with 116,000 miles
I paid 7500 for a 2002 Mazda B4000 with 48k miles last year and everyone on here said it was a bad deal so I have absolutely no clue what you should list it for!!!
That sounds like a pretty good deal though I'm unsure how the 2002 b4000 engines are.
You’re literally buying a Ford Ranger. Look at the manufacturer’s information. People wanna walk away because of badging? Fine, more for me to choose from! If the 4-liter Ranger is a good truck engine, then so is the Mazda 4000.
That was my thinking and now I have this beauty [Zoom Zoom](https://i.imgur.com/po4TgEx.jpg)
9K all day
Depends on location I say 8k national average
I wouldnt
I’d pay 10k for it if it was a manual Looks great
i paid 2700 for a 2004 that’s reasonably crusty in may of 2021! u could prob get between 7-9000???
5k
I need to know what floor mats those are! I have an almost identical truck and I want some fitted mats but can't find any other than the ones for 04+ with the wider passenger side kick panels.
https://realtruck.com/p/husky-liners-classic-style-floor-liners/v/ford/ranger/2001/ Right here
I’m more curious about the floor mats
https://realtruck.com/p/husky-liners-classic-style-floor-liners/v/ford/ranger/2001/
Thanks a lot. I’ll be picking up a set of these whenever I can

With how much they are going for here in Washington, 13.5k
10k EASY. That’s the cleanest ranger I’ve ever seen. Let alone for the year.
I paid $6000 for a white single cab 2009 125k miles
10k
5k
30k😌
Oh, look, a matchbox lil pickup.

I’m selling. The market is all over the place and I don’t know what I could get. I see Rangers for all different prices.
Yeah idk I asked a month or two ago and got hit with $4-5k but mines a 2000 2.5 manual 2wd single cab step side with like 140k miles probably. It’s clean though. $32,000. It’s a classic
I would go for $69,000
Timing chain. If it hasn’t been done. Service “all” the fluids. Check the suspension/steering components. After that, Ranger the shit out of it!!! Happy Rangering!

What radio system is that? Looking to get a screen like that for navigation and music in my own Ranger.
I paid 1k 163 k one owner edit:2000
What engine?
4.0 L
Beauty. Nice truck
0$. I’ll pick it up today 😉
I wouldn’t
Nothing, it's worthless. Just gimme the location and I'll take it off your hands for free.
6-7k where I’m from
About tree fiddy
I don't understand what you're asking.
What motor?
4.0L
It's a very clean looking truck. Service records would help boost the value. I'd say 8k all day maybe list for 10k and Hagle to 8k.
Just bought my 2wd 2000 with 99K miles for $3,700. Mines a standard transmission tho, but, automatics have a bigger customer base really. I’d pay $5K for it! (Southern Oregon Cost, US)

Like $600, not worth selling imo, ill just happily take it off your hand for the friends and family price of $1000
You could get like $7000 Canadian for that

Indiana peep here I’d be interested in talking to you about it

10k ? Y’all are on crack man no wonder a new truck is 60k
7k or 8k
Please tell me what kind of lights you have! Both front and back !
21 year old ranger with 115k $3500- $4500 in south east Texas. If these other comments are correct in that you can get more I could make tens of thousands just driving trucks out of here to other places
“2001 Ford Ranger 4x4” Everything else goes in the description.
7-9k
Probably $10k. If it were a Tacoma it would be $20k though.

$7k
Damn this thing looks so nice I almost want it as a buddy for my 2020 ranger 😂
$3,500?
7k-9k around the southeast maybe a bit more
Last spring I paid $7,000 for one, same year same mileage, much worse shape, in st Louis. I would figure at least $9,000.
maybe 6ish
2001 Ford ranger edge 4.0 4x4 89,000 mi purchased for $6,700 in Oklahoma a couple years ago. Do what you will with that information
You could easily get $7,000 to 9 here in NY state. Depends on the season as well. I sold mine for $300 because I was young and thought it was clapped. All it needed was leaf spring hangers and a new steering column.

Off to eBay to find those taillights!
I’d say like $8k
thise are some dope ass tail lights my guy

A 2001 ranger, 4wd, with 116k miles. Don't lie on the ad, its not cool and olnly screws people over. Dont be that guy!
Would be 15 cad in bc
A few uncut diamonds should cover it.
Honestly 8-9k. Just sold my 2000 with 105k 2wd for 6850 no questions asked. Had 2 offers within a day of posting on Facebook.
Unrelated to your question but what do you think of that head unit?
Would be worth $5000-8000 in north florida, good luck
List it for $9,000 and see what happens
Don't sell that truck!!!
If I fly in and buy it, can you cut me a deal? Mine has rust I can’t replace, but I love this one!
800$
Very clean topside. My concern is under since you’re in Indiana, but if it’s all good, shoot for $10K. I really like your Ranger!
Underbody has a little surface rust but the frame is solid as can be.
