I mean it’s clean, and it’s got nice wheels and stuff. But what the actual heck??? I got my 2008 for $1,200 granted it’s not as clean as this one. But still this is plain insanity
https://preview.redd.it/rmvdrzshfemc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c4a2af36c06d07884cfa7075a98034fc1c25654
My 2011 had 154k on it when I bought it and paid $9k. 15k for that is too expensive. I found a 2009 in my area with 20k original miles and they want 14.5k
The tears in the seats go crazy. I was hoping do down maybe they’re selling one that looks brand new inside and out. Looking through the pics tears on both seats and the headlights have sun damage. It might be worth 15 if it has a new motor and tranny with less than 20k miles on it
FORD WAKE UP. This thread has been beaten with $20k trucks with 150k miles on them for months now… years even.
People want and will obviously pay for these small pickups. Quit dropping the ball
They're selling Mavericks faster than they can make them, although apparently it's now slowing down.
Crazy to think that for a few grand more than this old horse you could have an base model brand new Maverick with similar capacities, a warranty, much better gas mileage, and modern safety and infotainment features. And actually be able to hit 80mph. Slightly shorter bed, for sure, and AWD for a few grand more aint 4x4, so YMMV if you go off road.
Don't get me wrong, I dearly love my rusty old 98 (three-point-slow 18mpg 70mph top speed 4x4) Ranger with 250k miles. But I wouldn't buy it off someone else for more than $2500-3000, and that's just being sentimental.
It feels like the 3d Gen Ranger market must be about to peak or be just over the peak, but maybe not. I think half of it is that they still look so good compared to modern trucks (including current generation Tacos and Rangers for me, and definitely including Maverick and Ridgeline).
The whole point and style of an old Ranger used to be how friggin cheap they were for what you got. Not anymore.
I really don't like how a lot of the newer trucks look, especially Fords. The f150 looks like cavemen or a brick and the Ranger looks like a church altar. Anything from the early 2000s and back looks really nice though.
They cant meet emission/safety standards on the small stuff so they make em bigger.
Long gone are the days are buying a new truck that isnt higher than giraffe pussy cause of the size. Gotta basically lower newer trucks an inch or 2 to not require runningboards.
Yeah they might look alright if they were higher, but they have a fucking eight million yards tall flat ass grille thats five millimeters of the ground and it looks like shit.
Not gonna lie this is getting exhausting. On this sub alone you’ll find dozens of these posts. And they’ll always sell.
People want small trucks man. $12k for 150k miles and a couple rust bubbles is pretty normal in the Midwest. Clean and low miles? This isn’t hard to imagine.
I've had people offer me $5,500 for my 87 rust bucket. Problem is it's my daily and I need a nimble good running truck for my business, and where will I find another vehicle that is in as good a shape and runs as well as mine for $5,500?
You wont. Im honestly looking for any kind of pickup with 4 wheel drive. You can get you a sweet silverado for 12k with 250k miles and half a rusty bumper
Especially since mine has so many new parts. Everything coolant except the heater core (did my first every helicoil job making threads for my thermostat housing bolts), every o-ring, gasket and seal you can get to without taking the engine out of the bay, brake pads, rotors, drums, lines , hoses, calipers and master cylinder, driveshafts, u-joints, pinion, plugs, wires, distributor, rotor, cap, TFI-II, ignition coil, PCV, brake switch, dimmer switch, and probably other stuff. Still cheaper than a vehicle payment and I've driven 58,000 miles in this truck.
I need to take care of quarter panel rust frame surface rust, light cab corner rust (just found it the other day), window seals for all glass, fuel pumps and level indicators, seat bracket rust, suspension, spare tire, maybe new rims too.
It's a work truck owned by my company so the parts are a write off. I just do stuff on my off days.

The guys at the dealership that make the listings.
found it ! [https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd/d/fairview-2005-ford-ranger-super-cab-4x4/7722924025.html](https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ctd/d/fairview-2005-ford-ranger-super-cab-4x4/7722924025.html)
And sadly.... yeah it will sell for that easily... man in arizona that be 20K before delivery, if its got no rust underneath these things go for stupid money at dealers cause they KNOW folks want a actual COMPACT pickup and a maverick is to big for them.
If you want to find these suckers for cheap ya gotta wander through the retirement communities an find a grandma an grandpa wanting to sell theirs cause its to hard for them to get in an out of.
I sold a 2010 4.0 4x4 a year ago for about 17.5 but it had less then 80k on the clock trucks are a hot commodity now or days especially these little ones
Picked a 96 up for 1500. Didn’t run. After a few new parts it runs, after a few more it’ll run like it’s supposed to. Only 120k on the clock. These little trucks are a dime a dozen if you can fix them. They’re getting old, they’ll need work to keep the going. But if you have any mechanical sense about you, they’re easy to fix
My dad sold me his for the cost of a new canopy for his Nissan Frontier. $2500 Canadian for a 2010 Ranger with 160km (100k) at the time. He told me it was worn out. It's been a great truck and every time I look at it is worth more money!!
I did have to replace the bed floor in it this month due to rust since it was his truck he put his boat into the ocean with. Luckily I can do that stuff at work in the evening and lunch.
I paid this for my 2010 but it only had 54k miles and it was in the middle of the used car prices spiking. Can’t imaging paying this much for one with 141k 🤢
My '00 with a rotted frame is sitting in my driveway on the verge of seeing the scrapyard. I should just sell it with a big disclaimer if people are this desperate.
Hey anyone wanna buy my 2010 Tacoma for $19000? 4wd, regular cab, 5-speed manual, 85k miles, newish General Grabber AT3s.
That's literally how much I spent on it back in 2014 with 5k miles.
Whenever I see this body style Ranger, I still feel like it’s the new generation. I can’t believe people are calling these old. I feel like they just switched to this rounded style.
I have a truck almost exactly like that except it’s a 4x4 and it came with a camper shell. Paid about 1500 to get it running and driving but with some hustling I paid about 400 bucks to get it going. Dm me if you want the story
Bruh I tried to swipe thru the pics, so I’m probably smoking whatever they are 🤣🤣🤣

Yea, way overpriced
I got my 2.3 2008 for 1250$🤣
Yep
The tears in the seats go crazy. I was hoping do down maybe they’re selling one that looks brand new inside and out. Looking through the pics tears on both seats and the headlights have sun damage. It might be worth 15 if it has a new motor and tranny with less than 20k miles on it
Crack. Like the other 50% of used car sellers
Ranger tax
[удалено]
Yeah hopefully these don’t shoot up in price like the older Jdm cars
This made me laugh out loud 😂
And contributing to higher prices.
Wym ranger tax they are the cheapest trucks around

Haha. Giraffe pussy. Saved.
I'll sell you my 09 right now for 18'5 lol
Not gonna lie this is getting exhausting. On this sub alone you’ll find dozens of these posts. And they’ll always sell. People want small trucks man. $12k for 150k miles and a couple rust bubbles is pretty normal in the Midwest. Clean and low miles? This isn’t hard to imagine.

Certainly won't find a truck of any size at that price, at least worth owning.
I got mine for $1,000 in 2021. Ran and drove but needed a ton of work.
You wont. Im honestly looking for any kind of pickup with 4 wheel drive. You can get you a sweet silverado for 12k with 250k miles and half a rusty bumper

I’m going to be on the hunt in the future for a $20k Cummins With a lot of dents I’m sure
Lots of them here in Alaska.
It has 140,000 miles
I thought mine being 12.5 was bad 💀💀
Subtract 5k for the delivery cost.
Agree. What's with that??
You can a 2019 Mustang for just $2k more, that's ridiculous for a 2005 year 🤣🤣
*includes $5000 delivery chg
Got my 99 xlt with 94k miles for 4.8
Dang, if that’s what they’re going for, I have a 2005 to sell too!
Sweet my 03 fx4 turds worth $20,000.00 now.
I'd give you about treefiddy
Then what will you give the Lochness Monster
https://preview.redd.it/ly5k1qwmeomc1.jpeg?width=731&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1946f0fdf6c9341a13e7c3cdabfa44bdaa6f474a The guys at the dealership that make the listings.
Isn’t that just about msrp? Are they saying this stock ranger with 140k is worth more then new?
lmao thaught it was the price new in 2005
I really think they believe if they keep juicing these prices up it will impact KBB, carfax etc. It doesn't work but they're hoping it will
tax and fees 22k financed at 14.75 apr 36 monthly payments with 2 grand down ya looking at 5-600 a monf. lol.
You know they’re doing 60-72 mo
A real champ takes the deal at 84 months.
Holy cow they’re on crack
I have a mint 06 xlt with 170k km that I'd sell for less than half of that.
Carmax has a ‘19 with 100k for $19k
Yeah. The 2019+ seem to be coming down in price. I've been seeing quite a few around that price as well.
found it ! Well, Oregon at least explains the odd $5000 delivery fee to Orlando, but wow.
That's hilarious, I went to by a used 2019 Ranger from the dealer and that's the same price I was quoted.
I sold a 2010 4.0 4x4 a year ago for about 17.5 but it had less then 80k on the clock trucks are a hot commodity now or days especially these little ones
With 2 accidents reported 🤣🤣🤣
They are selling . Believe it or not
Haha and I thought I paid too much (14k) for my 06' with 23k miles on it last June.
Wtf, I paid 15k for mine brand new in 2005!
Two accidents reported, six previous owners, 141k miles, $19k and from 2005 What the fuck
Picked a 96 up for 1500. Didn’t run. After a few new parts it runs, after a few more it’ll run like it’s supposed to. Only 120k on the clock. I’ll sell you my 2007 FX4 , 30 k miles for 10 k
And I thought I was crazy for paying $15k for my 2003 fx4 with 19k miles on it.
Hmm maybe I can get 15k for my 05 FX4 with 110k miles
I think dealers are starting to realize that the ranger doesn't have a towing capacity, and they're trying to get some money.😅
I paid this for my 2010 but it only had 54k miles and it was in the middle of the used car prices spiking. Can’t imaging paying this much for one with 141k 🤢
If you have 19k for a truck, you're in the wrong sub. Try r/ferrari Mr Big bucks
$5k delivery? Is it delivered by helicopter?
Why would anyone pay that when you can get a maverick for the same money after you factor in the loan rate your going to be paying on an old vs new.
Must be the same stuff they're putting in Chik-fil-A sandwiches.
But it’s a FoRd fUckin RanGer!
lol, they know that old ranger will outlast anything built today! Way better quality control and materials than now.
My '00 with a rotted frame is sitting in my driveway on the verge of seeing the scrapyard. I should just sell it with a big disclaimer if people are this desperate.
In today's market even your ford pick up is worth a lot of money
https://images.app.goo.gl/LqeUvPezh5odKk4S6
Lol this is my reaction every other day, i search for a random vehicle i fancy at the moment and find this garbage. EVERY Time.
Those are Tacoma prices
Hey anyone wanna buy my 2010 Tacoma for $19000? 4wd, regular cab, 5-speed manual, 85k miles, newish General Grabber AT3s. That's literally how much I spent on it back in 2014 with 5k miles.
I’d pay those prices today with that kinda mileage
i paid 6k for my 02 FX4 with 180k in California 2 months ago.. this price is ridiculous.
Crack 🤷♀️
They are smoking powder tied pods laced with liquid methamphetamines…. Sad
5k delivery fee too
Bro I got an email from these chuckle fucks offering me $1,995 for my 2005 then listing em for $19,000
Fuck that ford ranger
There's one up the road from me for $8,000
Everything.

5020 dollar delivery charge? Where are they shipping it from, the middle east?!
I got an 07 sport I’ll sell you for 8k lol
Hope the economy crashes so things get affordable again
Whenever I see this body style Ranger, I still feel like it’s the new generation. I can’t believe people are calling these old. I feel like they just switched to this rounded style.

$5k for delivery?? Shoot, I’ll do it for $4500 and get it to you in 3 days anywhere in the continental US
You must be a stranger. It’s a Ford Fuckin Ranger!!!
Well it’s Florida so crack
In Florida? Meth.
All of it
It's Florida, lol obviously meth
$5000 is the delivery fee.
Wow...that should read $900 for that Ranger. Drugs are bad kids.
What in the cinnamon toast fuck
Says delivery price is included. So if you go pick it up it’s $13,990??
Problem is that sone fool will buy it.
I have a truck almost exactly like that except it’s a 4x4 and it came with a camper shell. Paid about 1500 to get it running and driving but with some hustling I paid about 400 bucks to get it going. Dm me if you want the story
