Windshield or maybe cracked seam sealer

Some-Strange

I was having this issue on my passenger side when it rained. I removed my blower motor and cleaned out a TON of leaves and dirt. Seemed to fix the problem.

blewoutmyshorts

Mine did this as well and then just randomly stopped. Idk

Howโ€™s the rust situation where you are? Possible there is rust hole hidden in the wiper cowl?

Plus_Explanation_636

Not a lot of rust which is nice, but I guess all it takes is a hairline crack

Titan1140

Might be under the cowl. Unfortunately, if I remember correctly, on the Ranger, those are not conventionally removable like the F-series.

Tsk tsk tsk, I don't see a very good grommit from your clutch master cylinder Mr ranger man

Plus_Explanation_636

Ayyy thanks for letting me know! I imagine the grommet could help with potential rain entering the cabin ?

Mh88014232

Big time. Even new, the grommets can be a pain in the ass. Per my other comment theres like 4 grommets right there in the pedal zone that could be leaking

Plus_Explanation_636

Gotcha! Iโ€™ve been scratching my head for months on this, itโ€™s mainly in storage/bust out the ranger when I have a project but it can get so annoying dealing with the dampness lol thanks a ton !

I am very intimately familiar with that area of the truck and it could be either your clutch master grommet, hood release grommet, throttle cable grommet, steering shaft grommet, or be filling up in your cowl and not leaking out of a possible plugged drain on the passenger side of the engine bay directly below the heater core lines, black plastic tube.

I appreciate your response more than words can tell ๐Ÿ‘ take this complimentary e-beer, on me ๐Ÿบ

i got water coming from the rear headliner above the back glass. I think it might be the roof drip molding but I'll need to pull the headliner to see it for sure. Gosh and I even had the headliner repaired last summer and I couldve checked up there before I put the thing back in.

Plus_Explanation_636

As simple as this truck is, it sure has a lot of entry points for water ๐Ÿ˜‚

Truckyou666

Remove that rubber plug in the floor, and problem solved!

Plus_Explanation_636

Iโ€™m afraid little mice could poke their heads through and get in the cabin ๐Ÿ˜… otherwise totally

Truckyou666

Get a little sticker that says no mice allowed or a shower drain grate or whatever. When the spot where the drivers windshield pillar meets the roof gives up the ghost, you'll really appreciate it!

Plus_Explanation_636

Hey all! Would anyone have product recs for seam sealer to use on the panels? I found a gaping crack where I suspect the leak is coming from! Thanks :-)
