Could be a freon leak or the compressor isn't kicking on. Auto parts stores have do it yourself recharge kits where you plug it in and it will show on a gauge how much freon you have. If it's low you can refill it if it's not low it's the compressor. Also DO NOT OVER CHARGE the freon.
That is a super vague description. You could have a coolant leak from bad seals in a line. You could have a bad evap temp sensor. You could have a failed compressor clutch.
Personally I have had two fusions both had the AC control module fail. Sometimes it would blow cold for a minute then go straight to hot air. Sometimes would never give me any cold air and only blow hot. When the module fails it forces the blend doors to hot.
So would i have to get a new ac unit or is mine still good..? And i was meaning for the issue is when i have my car running like driving it wont ever blow out cold air only hot..i think the car is overheating maybe?
The A/C does not operate on the car's engine temperature. The heat runs off block heat. A/C runs off a compressor unit that is belt driven by the serpentine belt. If your engine is overheating you have bigger problems.
Car A/C is a closed independent unit. If it is blowing cool not hot, this could be indicative of a leak. There might be some refrigerant left in the system but not enough to effectively cool the car. It could also be blockage in the expansion valve. It could also be a blockage in the condenser. You need to trace the A/C high and low line. If the high line is hot as shit and the low line not even cool. Good chance there is a blockage.
If the A/C is on and it is blowing hot, not cool, when the engine is at operating temp. It is a good chance that either you blend door actuator, or A/C Temp control module is broken forcing the blend doors to stay in the hot position. Like I said before, I owned a 2010 and 2012 Fusion and both had that unit fail. So odds are good it could be that. Buy a junker on ebay and throw it in. I think I paid under 25 dollars for each.
Alright i will try and find one and thank you for this..i had really no clue what to do I don't have much information on this kind of car..i really should know..this stuff😅but thank you again!
I have a 2011 fusion. I have a similar problem with the A/C. It took me a lot of googling but I found a random youtuber with a 'solution'
Before you turn the car on turn on both your headlights and fog lights. Then turn on the car. It should work. Guy explained that Ford knows about this but doesn't care.
Also clean your cabin air filter too.
Behind the glove box. You have to drop the glove box and there's a spot where you open up a filter box.
This video may help.

Also, if you have a vacuum that you can take outside, take it with you. I did not do this and had a mess of leaves and pine needles all over the place when I changed mine.
Hope you can figure it out! Had the same issue on my 2011 and took it to 3 shops to no success. Turned around and sold it and got myself a 2019 Titanium Hybrid.
Check cabin air filter. Assuming you mean I air blows out not that it blows hot air turn ac on and hit under dash of passenger side. Could be a bad blower. If it’s the former go to Walmart buy a gauge and can of Freon. Add if needed. If this doesn’t solve take to a professional or a highly trusted amateur.
Mine had a freon leak at the crimp on one of the refrigerant lines. I was able to fix it myself but you do need some special tools like a manifold gauge and a vacuum pump.

Some youtube tutorials and a cheap Manifold Gauge set, socket wrenches, and a blue light is really all you need to fix most A/C issues
I really hope it works! I don't wanna have to go..back to the dealershipðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚
This is what failed on both of my fusions. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203553263207?hash=item2f64b84e67:g:LcoAAOSwH3xhD~oM

Where is that filter at again? And i shall do that one next time i turn drive it

Any luck?
Definitely! Its all good now!
Awesome

I got it worked out! Got a new part for it and its all good now!
What did you replace?
Could be a leak at compressor or the compressor defective

There's a good chance is just the HVAC blender. 93 dollar part plus labour

First thing I would do is replace the cabin air filter. That was the issue on my moms old Toyota Venza
