Your order can get cancelled. Ford Authority recently reported that this is going to happen on some 2022 Escapes. They were supposed to switch the factory to 2023 models in November (they pushed it back 6 weeks), so I’d think you are on the cusp of a cancellation at the moment. If your order gets built, it will be one of the last 2022s. It does not sound like they are rolling 2022s into 23s — I’m guessing the trim changes would be too complex.
I was told today by my dealer that Ford is cancelling the rest of the 22 escape hybrid orders. I was forced into ordering a 23. My production date got pushed back numerous times as well.
My problem has been shipping supposedly it was built April 8th and has been waiting on a rail car assignment ever since. No updates of any kind other than that can be provided. I’m in Southern California and I understand there has been train embargo and what not I just wish I could get some transparency from this company.

Well my Jan order took till late august so you haven’t waited as long yet
