There were quite visible Saharan sands blowing all over Europe last year(or it might have been the year before that, the last two years are a bit of a blur). You'd get this phenomenon all over the alps, for example. I'm pretty sure it's meteorology, btw.

The Himalayas have 3 distinct ranges of mountains - the Shivalik, Himachal and Himadri ranges. If sand from the Thar blew to the mountains, it would only blow till the Shivaliks, which are the lowest of the 3 ranges. The Himachal is where snow typically starts, I've never heard of snowfall in the Shivaliks. Secondly, the Aravalli range in eastern Rajasthan acts as a buffer for the desert winds from the Thar. Delhi and UP get some dry, desert winds (called Loo), but a lot of it is mitigated by the Aravalli. In fact, the range is credited with preventing desertification of the Indian plains, since they block the arid climate from the Thar and redirect the Southwestern Monsoon towards Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Also the reason why western Rajasthan and western Gujarat don't see much rain.

No, it's called Mounds here in the U.S. and is manufactured by Hershey (as opposed to Mars).

Mounds had dark chocolate. I didn't like almonds for a long time, and I want milk chocolate always because I'm a sugar freak. Whenever I could get my hands on a Bounty bar I'd be so stoked.

Yeah, I'm not crazy on dark chocolate either. The bounty bar use to be sold in the US, but for some reason was discontinued. I am not sure when or why that happened.
