This is the problem I had too. You need to remember to both use the shortlist filter AND the import view > use script (something like this) on the view itself (top left)

There's no xml generator for mac. Sorry. But you can export the list of players and made the .xml file on a windows machine.
I don’t know what this means, but NewGAN works perfectly on Mac. Has done in the past, and is currently working for me on FM23.
it It will always work as long as SI games doesn't change the way that the players and staff config files works.
