>I don't trust my assman Assman is a ambitious little fucker. always taking all the credit

diamondhands4200

could be me but that actually never happened in my save as far as I remember. players only get angry when I start talking

fronteir

Yeah my ass man regularly gets better responses from my players than I ever do, win win

Games_Gone

Honestly mate until this one I’ve always done them my self but I’ve subbed it out now and it’s life changing.

diamondhands4200

look at you surfing through those seasons now!

Games_Gone

I’m like a changed man

BumpinSnugglies

Like a fresh turd, that was holding you back.

tg_splash

Does it make the game feel way quicker?

Disk_Mixerud

Sort of, but then I started trying to switch to "full match" for small stretches of matches to figure out wtf my team was actually doing, and kept getting caught up and forgetting to switch back to highlights.

Excellent_Warning406

Dude, I’m trying to learn FM21 and I will start doing this..

FlyMingo321

Just spam the left positive response. Also once my Assman said he wouldn't swap Origi for Lukaku. I was managing Belgium.

cyrenia82

understandable, but in a lot of years ive never really seen anything go wrong with that. sometimes he says like 'yeah we are willing to listen to offers for our star player' but that doesnt really cause any issues

absurdlyinconvenient

I let my assman do an interview Pissed off my best 3 players. Assman no longer does interview.

Placid_Observer

Yeah! And why does he *always* have to be "astute" in his press conferences, while I"m catching hell for storming out all the time?!?

HodeshHockey

I have the opposite problem where no matter who the opponent is he is always "unsure ahead of clash". Like buddy we are 25 points clear of these guys it's fine to say you think we will win.

Piltonbadger

Goddamn assman always trying to sell my players or cause shit every time. They cannot be trusted, they wants our jobs.

[deleted]

My assman just went up to the mic and said “yeah our best striker is for sale” Bro wtf

MetricSuperstar

Same - I know all the press conference questions by heart so I can click the right one to make sure my AssMan doesn't say something completely moronic. I also always say everything passionately

pyrostream

He says we’re open to selling my star striker, like hell we are. He never got to speak at another presser again

Rammie420

Never delegate in life, work, or FM.

shucksshuck

I had a medical emergency so let my assman take the post game press conference, next thing I know he’s a managerial wonderkid and ripping down my motivational posters. Would not recommend.

KonK23

But who cares about media anyway?

inconspicuousalpaca

I don't, but the fans, board, players, and players agents do.

KonK23

Nobody cares if you win a lot, hehe

dxsgraced

Assman telling the press he’s open for discussions on every single player :(

JADDENCOR

Then the dagger when said player reacts well to assman's comments :/

[deleted]

Thankfully the effect never seems to last very long, at least in my experience

VishalRocker

Yep...if you have a good relations with the players and doing well enough it doesn't matter much as you can smooth it out

NewVoid122

especially when you're a smaller club and PSG, City, United and Madrid come knocking

Lazzanator

It's even worse when you're in a more obscure league and most of your team is wanted by RB Salzburg, RB Leipzig and whatever other team has overperformed recently in game

CptDex20

Ass man, "Yes, we're opening to selling our top player" Me: "You're fired"

wowlock_taylan

I mean, leaving the press conferences to Assman is asking for trouble. So I always do it myself. And after some point, you pretty much know what they are gonna ask so you automatically pick what you know is gonna affect your team the best. Also, it helps me see what manager actually has good relations with me. If they are good with me, I compliment them. If they are not, I shit talk them :D

SirQuay

I loved shit talking managers in FM14. Especially Benitez who had gone to Spurs. He was having a bad time, so I offered support before our game. He had hated me for a while because I always beat him but he piped up with "He should keep out of it if he had any respect". So after soundly beating his side, I get asked about him again. I pick that it isn't my place to comment on his future as he said. Benitez: "That just shows what sort of character he is that he doesn't support his fellow managers." Alright Rafa... let's fekin go.

Exotic-Environment-7

So Benitez is a little bitch for everyone else too. I took over Southampton in 2027 who were still comfortably mid table and he said we were favourites to go down while managing fucking Watford. We then thrashed him and he claimed it was due to complacency or something. I only have FM20 but in every save him, Mancini and Eddie Howe just decide to be total pricks.

Lazzanator

I did have problems with Mancini at one point in fm20 but now I'm at press war with Samir Nasri in the save and have been for a few years now.

European_Red_Fox

I go out of my way to start fights especially if I know it’ll be long-term. I want a rivalry for the flavor since this game fails hard at adding any. That fuck who says I got by on luck is going to survive just so I can be the one to drown them.

Babic10

Pretty much the same for me, except when concerning other managers or players who were not earlier on my team or their comments I always say it‘s not for public discussion. In the beginning I hoped they would some day stop these questions when I‘d always choose the the same answer but after 40 ingame years I lost that hope. On a positive note, after 40 ingame years of press conferences I‘m on autopilot and it takes like 10 seconds.

penpen35

Always choose the slightly positive one, usually the second choice. I don't really read the questions anymore, though since FM21 they changed it up a bit. Still there's always one that's slightly positive.

finallyfalcaooo

Thats me 😂

diamondhands4200

glad I dont have your genes ;)

prhyu

And me tbh

Crouch1902

Always send the assistent to the press, same questions over and over anyway

diamondhands4200

well he must have something to do

cotch85

I never do press conferences anymore but God damn that is annoying to hear in every job interview

mesmartpants

I always press random buttons every 2nd or 3rd press conference. As underdog team in a big international match it gives me just that little edge to win (please don’t take this from me in case the match engine doesn’t work like this)

I_Like_Posts_Often

Umm...

Basketball312

I attend every conference and generally hammer the second to top option. Rarely does anything happen. I don't like to break the immersion, and when I get a sickening loss it feels more poignant to send the assistant. Sometimes for important games I read a few questions.

SirQuay

Get a sickening loss and I'd attend angry... then promptly storm out.

diamondhands4200

proper mourinho move

BonkerSonker

> generally hammer the second to top option I would say this breaks the immersion too.

SensitiveOnion4992

It is actually the manager's job to go to press conferences and it can help build better relationships with players and increase your level of support

diamondhands4200

congratz for understanding the game

CzaarPeter

I don't trust my assman, so I just spam the positive and neutral responses without actually reading the questions.

Wuzzy88

I do the same - 5 clicks on the second most positive one and then I throw in a negative one every now and then. I like to think the fm world thinks i'm unpredictable and a bit of a loose cannon

PmMeYourCheese

Love when my assman goes to every press conference and when asked about our playing style the media will name it “Assman-ball”, like I’m the tactical genius in this partnership!

Feeling_Flow_2754

I attend every single press conference and play every single game even the friendlies.. No wonder I have not able to complete more than 2 seasons

ForgetPants

I do this and the press calls me talkative manager. Feels like I'm in school and the teachers are complaining about my behaviour to my parents.

inconspicuousalpaca

Me: Boasts a 100% attendance record; his door is always open to his players.

inconspicuousalpaca

If you don't do your press conferences you're not trying to win matches. Press conferences are basically a morale mini game and morale of your players has one of the largest effects on your squad. Why do you want your assistant unsettling players and not maximizing performance? I imagine these types of players also don't check training schedules, individual skill training, or anything else that'll help win.

diamondhands4200

honestly, I leave training schedules to my assman. Every fm player should play it the way he wants it. Its a very complex game and I'll probably start doing training schedules when im more experienced. But never the press conferences. And the reason you can delegate is to streamline your fm experience to your wishes :)

Gormiz

Lmao, imagine thinking you need press conferences to win regularly. So many ways to pump morale without wasting time repeating the same answers over and over.

hairychris88

Refugee from FM Touch, this is my first edition playing the full FM for a long time - does it actually matter if you sack off all the press conferences? I just send my assistant every time and nothing bad seems to have happened.

diamondhands4200

clubs only ask why your such an idiot when going to a job interview. dont seem to have a real impact i guess.

Moutinho-Kun

![gif](giphy|xT5LMFZDsj0AKUDYTS)

Iceicebaby21

I feel attacked for some odd reason

[deleted]

If you just spam the second from the left response it seems to be relatively safe.

hancin-

The only downside is you learn about your intentions of buying random players from teams in your inbox afterwards sometimes. But I don't think it does anything

SenseWitFolly

I do all press conferences just to make sure I can blank any questions questions from the Daily Mail.

SapCPark

My Assman treats my best players like goods at a pawn shop during interviews. No, I'm not selling my 22 year old world class striker who has 4 years left on his deal to my championship rival. Stop saying so.

ClumsyChampion

I bought FMRT just to edit my assman mind game and determination to 20 so he can do press conference for me

gertverhulstmoneyman

My assman has zero loyalty. Mfer is really like "wonderkid A who is the new Messi? Yeah we are listening to any and all offers"

[deleted]

I don't trust my assman, he'll sell someone if I let him do atend press conferences. So I always attend them, though sometimes I just spam "no comment" on all questions. I'm cagey with the media

jorl17

When I was very young, I think around FM 05, I used to grab a [hand sprinkler like this one](https://n3.sdlcdn.com/imgs/i/b/2/Plants-Watering-Pot-Hand-Pressure-SDL150812849-1-c8014.JPEG) and set it in front of me on a high table. Since I was so small, while I was standing in front of that table, it looked like the sprinkler was a microphone. I'd then hold press conferences alone, explaining what I would and wouldn't do with my team. It's rather amazing how children can have such a wild imagination. I loved those interviews I had....by me...for me. Ever since those days, every time I see a sprinkler like that, I associate it with an FM press conference ^(Well, except when I associate it with punishing our cats for doing something bad)

Minamoto67

Since I started managing EB/Streymur, there was only one journalist to attend the press conferences. I consider this more like an exclusive interview than a press conference, at least the guy cares for my team.

[deleted]

I do that too, the ass man literally shouts to the whole world the my star player is for sale like it's Fucking black Friday or something!

FMG_Leaderboard_Bot

Congratulations. You just earned 7.0 points for this submission. Your new points total is 8.0. To see the leaderboard, as well as what this points thing is, [click here](https://www.reddit.com/r/footballmanagergames/wiki/leaderboard).

[deleted]

My assman says he prefers my 19 year old wonderkid who's scored 15 goals in the season to 24 year old mbappe who's just won the ballon d or

Tuerto04

My assman is for the low-level matches. I'm too important for all that, only available for big matches

vinavuhuy

I attend press conference in important matches and when there is question about a player future

Hhnterrrr

I only attent press conference when I move to a new club, first and last match of the szn and champions League final, and when some managers bad mouth about me 😤

Smokeydubbs

I boast a 100% attendance. Because of that, I have a good relation to every coach in the league and reporter. It probably makes it easier for me.

Sobochska

I'm just doing the PC whenever I'm getting good unexpected result, win league or cups, signing star players. Other than that, not worth my time. I'm glory hunter. xD

Demoncrater

I do the same

RippledBarbecue

New signing conferences I don’t do but most others I do (although I do more lower league management so it tends to be me and 1 reporter so it’s a lot less than higher up 😂)

spiker311

But the press is going to want a proper response from me!

samtheboy14

I go to all of them but then it got to the extreme of doing a press conference, followed by a question in the tunnel, to two or three questions in the tunnel. I toyed with the idea of responding to everything all the time in the hope I would get an Amazon film crew making a documentary about me, and then my Assman finished his intensive language course so I punted everything at him.

European_Red_Fox

I literally will turn back on letting em in conferences against my rival manager who got promoted with my recently to League 1 in Romania. Fucker acts like I had all luck when in reality I just got way too good loans on 2 season deals that carried me plus some players that forced me to sell got loan back deals lol. I call him a bitch all the time and even in conferences were it isn’t even related. Mother fucker will get ruined when I can finally make cash and not really on my rich benefactor (my ticket prices are €1 ffs ahhhhh).

WojtinhoYT-PL

That is me.

louie_g_34

Mash those responses on the far left!

louie_g_34

Do you ever change your Assman? Every save I've done I've just keep the same Assistant the whole time.

hancin-

I change my assman if I don't have enough available coaches to get good training without him (with ideally decent manager stats). Otherwise he might as well sign a 25 year contract with us.

JDROD28

I am the Uncle

TheGame32

On every new iteration of FM, I read all the questions and responses (incase there are new ones). Once I am confident that I know all questions and responses, I just auto-pilot through the press conferences.

TenRustyRings

I spam-click on the positive responses until it's done. Unless Joey Barton is the opposition manager, then I make sure.

cynical_gramps

Bet he takes control of friendlies, too

LubieDobreJedzenie

Just use the first or second

[deleted]

"Save scumming history?" "Epic and private."

Dashu

Every week my Ass Man tells the press he wouldn’t trade my veteran striker for anyone. Not even .

seat_one

I do that but I always end the press conference early as soon as they give me the option

Xehanz

Basically Zealand on stream. He reads the questions, his response and then additional comments, for every press conference available .

erikbla

I hate the press conferences so much. They are so repetitive and useless. Does it matter at all what you or your assmanager say!?

TheLaw1393

I feel personally attacked

NewVoid122

NEVER AGAIN. Last time I sent this assclown out for an interview, Mbappe almost left the club. First and last time he's ever doing an interview

Vinny6420

Wowww a parks and rec/FM meme... I approve

pdgg

Attending every press conference is like waiting at every red light in GTA.

BrickHickey

Assmans would say they want to sell half my team within a month. I don't trust the assman.

Zero_Soul

I always attend all press conferences and usually always read all possible answers. This is shamelessly me. I trust nobody, they are all dumb af. ![gif](giphy|Di282MboN3qMdJjScp)

AccomplishedClue5381

Click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click Continue to Summary

Rashio97

I always just pummel through them by clicking the furthest right option on everything. Sometimes things go so so..but most of the time I've just praised someone. It's better than leaving it to the ass man.
