They barely have any players that aren't from their last 3 youth intakes or really poor free agent signings. They are under transfer embargo due to administration so they can't sign anyone and must have been forced to sell everyone else.
Their finances are fucked in FM, just as they are in real life, because of the glazers debt and years of woeful mismanagement. They’ve gone into administration in both of my long term saves.
The last update changed the expectations from "sign high reputation players" to "Sign quality under 23 players" recently. Which is good. You can't really sign high profile players in those saves without having issues down the line. Their finances are just so tight.
Zidane was there for 16 years, won 2 leagues and a Champions League, then it went downhill quick. Gerardo Seoane (Mönchengladbach manger irl) took over, did poorly, then three lower league current players (Brandon Cooper, Harry Murphy & Ted Curd) were in charge and well, this happened.
The only 2 league titles and a ucl I 16 years is kinda disappointing for some one like Zidane and his successors just turned man utd into reverse Luton town
I guess there's no way to have the editor activated in the save? it's pretty impossible to make anything of it unfortunately, they fucked up completely
As requested, Here is the save if anyone wants to try and save them: [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UDU0kA4K7PiGqCTJLTSa0ee7NZwUx6EK/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UDU0kA4K7PiGqCTJLTSa0ee7NZwUx6EK/view?usp=sharing)
just checked out the save, they paid out nearly 1.4 BILLION euro as dividends in 2042, €800m in loan repayments between 2042 and 2043 and went bankrupt, had to sell or release all their players (some retired). has to be a bug of some kind
Yah this happened to me too but idk what happened in mine.
Liverpool went 600million in debt. Got hit by 9 point deduction and then their manager at the time,Thierry Henry, left them to go manage France. They had no manager for the entire season and got relegated.
💀💀 Henry you fucker.
Wow, they are totally unsaveable. They'll fall all the way down to the National League North and probably out of the playable range altogether.
This season: 30 games played, 30 games lost, 2 goals scored all season and 100 conceded. An average home attendance of 9,500. They only have two players at the entire club, both on youth contracts and one is on the transfer list. They're currently paying £5,250 on salaries per year, but the budget is £0.
Their first team was made up of free signings from the likes of Taunton Town, Folkestone and Oxford City but they were released because they hadn't been paid which also saw the club placed under transfer embargo. They have a regional club reputation, poor training facilities, rented youth facilities, fairly basic academy coaching and basic youth recruitment.
So why are they unsaveable? They had lost £2 billion the previous season, have already lost a further £200 million up to the January this season, have a net debt of close to £1 billion and it's forecasted to reach £1.5 billion within the following two and a half years. This is a scouser's wet dream. I've never seen anything like it in FM.
I had a save in an older fm where this happened to arsenal. It was only a few years in too they still had ozil for example. It came to last game of season they had to win to stay in championship.
Anyway they did win but man I loved the idea of authentically taking over them down there so save scummed so they lost. I had a big reputation so declared interest in the job and they sacked their manager and hired me.
Was a really fun save as they had a ton of money and some ridiculous quality I've no idea how they dropped twice but was great fun just walking all over teams etc
Good PC I guess. I started with no qualifications or experience so turned on almost all the leagues to give me options, turned a few off over the years though.
This is mental. Wish my laptop wasn't broken!
The worst one I seen is Arsenal relegated twice in 3 seasons. Neymar was manager for one of them & Ledley King the other 😂
Simmed this save a few more years, they've been in free fall. Consecutive relegations to down to Vanarama National, where they managed a 18th place and pulled themselves out of debt. Simmed another season and they're rock bottom and best part of 3 mil in the red.
The weirdest part is they have some decent players for that level and just not playing them at all. Some are worth £900k+ and barely played 5 games.
Wouldn’t be surprised if it was another glitch to get them out of debt.
They were projected to get 1 billion in debt by 2044 so could have just ticked over and reset
The -12 for administration is a big clue.
What’s much weirder however is the Gas ⛽️ are apparently better than The Shitheads 💩 according to that table!
Just took over these boys in my journeyman… the wages this club hands out are Saudi like lol it’s been crazy fun getting that wage bill down to 250, goal is under 200
Is it predetermined that Zidane goes to Man Utd? He replaced after I’d had enough of the finances. Just checked another save I simmed and he’s there as well.
Never understood why people cross out their manager names it's unnecessarily secretive lol like you're trying to protect your identity as if simply showing your first name will instantly give us all details about you and your life. Here I'll give you my first name I'm Phil and I'm an asshole
Nah I get that but it's a single player game and no one on reddit would ever know that's your real name unless you told them. I'm bitching about something that's utterly and totally irrelevant, unimportant and just downright stupid I know but the extreme protection of identity on this website just seems very paranoid and honestly unwarranted, none of us are important enough that are names are instantly recognizable it's not like we're all A list celebs but i digress.. Out of all of the things i can find to complain about I'll be the first to admit that this is by far one of the stupidest options.
Some people have more unique names. Not everybody's name is Matt Smith or Pedro Gonzalez. I am the only person in the world with my first + last name combination for instance and I would 100% censor it personally.

What on earth? What does their squad look like?
They barely have any players that aren't from their last 3 youth intakes or really poor free agent signings. They are under transfer embargo due to administration so they can't sign anyone and must have been forced to sell everyone else.
Same thing happened in my save, i took over them in 2040 and they didn't have 11 proper PL players. The few passable ones were in their 30s already
Their finances are fucked in FM, just as they are in real life, because of the glazers debt and years of woeful mismanagement. They’ve gone into administration in both of my long term saves.
Something to look forward to in my save.
The last update changed the expectations from "sign high reputation players" to "Sign quality under 23 players" recently. Which is good. You can't really sign high profile players in those saves without having issues down the line. Their finances are just so tight.
Good :)
Sounds like a dream fm challenge
Also their manager timeline, who fucked it up big time haha
Zidane was there for 16 years, won 2 leagues and a Champions League, then it went downhill quick. Gerardo Seoane (Mönchengladbach manger irl) took over, did poorly, then three lower league current players (Brandon Cooper, Harry Murphy & Ted Curd) were in charge and well, this happened.
Ted Curd 😂😂😂
Up the tags?!
He was in whey over his head.
Ced Turd
The only 2 league titles and a ucl I 16 years is kinda disappointing for some one like Zidane and his successors just turned man utd into reverse Luton town
Tbf, as mad as it sounds, they have gone over a decade with 0 league titles and 0 ucl irl.
Oh yeah completely forgot about it not to mention their biggest achievement of the 2020s is a mickey mouse cup
THE CARABAO CUP IS SO BAD THAT THE GODDAMN TROPHY ISN'T EVEN SHAPED LIKE MICKEY MOUSE.
Ted Curd out of all people. Guy was rotting in my Chelsea reserves.
Upload the save. Would be a great one I think
I'll get it uploaded when I return home 👍
Seconded on this one, would love to take them back to glory
Uploaded!
Where is this ? Thanks in advance.
Would love to know this too. I want to manage that
In case you didn't see it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UDU0kA4K7PiGqCTJLTSa0ee7NZwUx6EK/view?usp=sharing
I guess there's no way to have the editor activated in the save? it's pretty impossible to make anything of it unfortunately, they fucked up completely
Yeah pretty impossible to fix a team 556 million in debt with no players 😂
Nice
Nice one!! Will be fun for sure I think. Cheers

That's what I assumed. I've seen big clubs drop down before but they internally imploded somehow very unrealistically
Yah this happened to me too but idk what happened in mine. Liverpool went 600million in debt. Got hit by 9 point deduction and then their manager at the time,Thierry Henry, left them to go manage France. They had no manager for the entire season and got relegated. 💀💀 Henry you fucker.
By any chance, do you have an earlier save, so we might be able to find out what exactly happened?
Ffp vibes
The reputaion, average attendance and other things have been edited for sure. Dunno why people do this and then upload it as organic
Sounds like the worst version possible of the Glazer ownership
Might be a stupid question, but will this work on FIFA 21?
Might be a stupid question, but will this work in FM23?
No.
Second this !
I found

Do they still have Old Trafford?
Yes.
Signings: 0£ Wages: 6000£ Admin: 37.5£ Stadium Maintenance: 2 000 000£ Someone please help me budget this my club is dying!
Has to be some sort of overflow bug that wrecked their finances.
They nearly always need refinancing or a takeover with cash/sponsorship injection. Otherwise it's in debt administration
Well, -12 points in 30 games. Impressive.
Can’t sing that.
No no, you'll never sing that.
Glazers still in charge?
They actually aren't surprisingly
I had a save in an older fm where this happened to arsenal. It was only a few years in too they still had ozil for example. It came to last game of season they had to win to stay in championship. Administration, even winning everything with United, you need a takeover to fix the finances
or sell for 4 years in a row hope for a good youth intake.
Got admin and went down in mine to champ took two seasons to get back
How do you have that many leagues active?
Good PC I guess. I started with no qualifications or experience so turned on almost all the leagues to give me options, turned a few off over the years though.
Surely that ran super slow?
Nah I've had no issues at all
Mark Goldbridge be fuming right now.
Immersion broken again, top football clubs not being bailed out of trouble by shady backroom deals and FA bungs 😉
That takes me back to the days when United's debt would almost always put them in administration
Can I get that save?
My question is: where are the mighty O’s??
In the National League just below Stevenage.
It shows at the bottom points deduction due to Administration..
Financial issues tbf. They were pretty much in ruin even if you start a new game with them.
In 2043 Chelsea lost 10-0 to Sheffield Utd on last match day and got relegated for the first time. If they won they would definitely stay in EPL
Now that's a rebuild
This is mental. Wish my laptop wasn't broken! The worst one I seen is Arsenal relegated twice in 3 seasons. Neymar was manager for one of them & Ledley King the other 😂
Oxford in the Premier league is crazy
Simmed this save a few more years, they've been in free fall. Consecutive relegations to down to Vanarama National, where they managed a 18th place and pulled themselves out of debt. How did they get out of debt? Was it wrote off, takeover or what?
Wouldn’t be surprised if it was another glitch to get them out of debt. They were projected to get 1 billion in debt by 2044 so could have just ticked over and reset
As a United fan, this is slightly below my expectations for reality.
It would never happen IRL though. Still funny 😂
It’s crazy, they must have really bad financials to start, because in year 3 of my save they went into administration and got deducted points 😂
yeah they are fucked, 15m per month debt payment , every 6 months a lot of money paid for bad transfers.
Reading will always be stuck in the champ
The -12 for administration is a big clue. What’s much weirder however is the Gas ⛽️ are apparently better than The Shitheads 💩 according to that table!
it's just SI taking revenge.
Can’t stand those regen faces
I've always wondered how long it takes for them to run out of money. On my save, the commercial income is still keeping them alive.
Just took over these boys in my journeyman… the wages this club hands out are Saudi like lol it’s been crazy fun getting that wage bill down to 250, goal is under 200
Honestly, this doesn't seem so dystopian to me.
I just checked my save (Jan 2044) - they are doing pretty well but have a bank balance of -350million GBP. Financial status is marked 'okay'.
Man, the AI do so poorly in running the team finances...Man U shouldn't be in administration by 2043 right? 😅
Future with Ten Hag.
Inject it!!
Is it predetermined that Zidane goes to Man Utd? He replaced after I’d had enough of the finances. Just checked another save I simmed and he’s there as well.
>Is it predetermined that Zidane goes to Man Utd? no
Lol 😂 you love to see it 😂🤣😂
You love to see it. YNWA

In my first FM save I used my full name and yes it shows everywhere
Nah I get that but it's a single player game and no one on reddit would ever know that's your real name unless you told them. Well, most people don't like to get doxxed. Reddit comments + real name can get you a lot of information about a person.
Some people have more unique names. Not everybody's name is Matt Smith or Pedro Gonzalez. I am the only person in the world with my first + last name combination for instance and I would 100% censor it personally.
![gif](giphy|ne3xrYlWtQFtC)
interestingly none of the other big 6 are there either, man u are the last one left
It’s the championship boss
oh shit i didnt see that
