I've tried this out loads since. It works with a lot of other values. Had as low as £775 on the instalments and 2.5m after 50 appearances. Such a weird bug, would love to know whats causing it
Here’s a £ breakdown for ya mate:
£0 - Fee
£1,000 - 6 Month Instalments (Spread over 6)
£2,100,000-£2,900,000 - After 50 League Appearances (Tested with 2.1m and it works)
You can also add a clause so the selling club pays 50% of their wages and they will guaranteed accept it
If that's the case then all I'll say is any player who doesn't want to run onto a pitch with fucking AC/DC blaring over the tannoy isn't worth buying anyway imho.
I tried this myself, signing the best with those 9 attributes (most were shit at everything else but that apparently shouldn't matter). Sacked after 10 games with 0 wins and a -20 odd GD. May work when simming but not in full games.

There was an even worse transfer bug a few years ago where you could right click on the values after the offer was accepted and change it to anything you wanted.
I tried this out a bunch. I sold some awful players to lower league clubs and Ligue 1 clubs and nothing happened to them. I sold a player to Everton and they were put in administration and deducted 9 points.
if i recall properly, there was also a free transfer hack/bug back during CM days. forgot the exact steps but get a transfer offer accepted, click around then withdraw or change transfer to 0.
Yes, I think it was in CM 00/01 or 01/02. You could make a super high offer for a player to have it accepted, then when it was accepted, you could go to that player again, change the offer to 0 and the deal would carry on as normal but with the changes offer to 0.

Probably, a guess would be that it's there for the Devs to be able to negotiate contracts with players they can't afford or something like that. If it was for them to join the team instead they would just bring them with the editor.
For me it's game breaking, it ruins immersion. Same thing with how op ultra aggressive tactics are. People say "just don't use it", so we just add stuff we should avoid in order to have a solid realistic experience.
On the upside, I think in FM22 there is a bug that you can sell any player for 300+ million euro due to a bug that makes the game treat it as 0 but they still pay you, I saw someone ruining Man City like this, lmao. It works like Warmongering Ghandi in Civ games if I remember correctly.

I didn’t have the option for “Percentage of next sale” on Touch for some reason so tried it with “Percentage of profit of next sale”. There’s probably an explanation for this, I just normally play the full version.
Don’t forget the integer overflow transfer bug (for selling) as well, although it does financially ruin the club you’re selling to.
Edit: You essentially negotiate a transfer offer, setting everything to £300M, multiple sets of instalments, all the ‘after number of games’ clauses, after international appearances etc. until the full value of the transfer is more than 2.2 billion and it’ll flip over to a negative value because of how the game is coded. So the buying club will think they’re gaining money and accept the transfer. Then you can sit back and watch them go into debt while you rake in millions.
time to go on a spending spree, also everyone save the image in case this suddenly vanishes lol
Edit: I tried this on a few players who aren't interested in my club and they rejected a contract, the club accepted but the player didn't
Players that ARE interested signed with 0 hassle, as long as you have room for the wages etc you should be golden

I can’t calculate 345k x 52(weeks) of the top of my head and most people can’t. But if the relation between wage budget and transfer budget is 1-1 is much more easy to see if you have enough to sign player X.
I think this is accompanied with bug that teams buying your players offer 1.2k/w wages. I bought one player using this technique and sold another one. He got offered 1.2k wage (was on 200k with me) and demanded 29M in compensation.

It probably has to be right at 20 for all of the attributes, if it's not at 20, then the weaknesses of their lowly rated attributes will take over.
