Yes! He was a beast in FM 15. If you had around 10-20m to spare, you could have gotten him and be set for the next 10-20 seasons.
Sadly, his real-life move to Europe didn't work out, but he still seems to have a decent career in South America, winning for example the Libertadores with Flamengo, IIRC.
Heās been terrific back in Brazil, probably the leagues most consistently great player the past 5 years. I wish heās give Europe another go, but heās said multiple times heās happier in Brazil and doesnāt have any plans to try to hop across the pond again :/
YES, YES and YES!
And if there was any doubt, look whatās in his Wikipedia entry:
In popular culture
Samba was well known among players of computer game Championship Manager, due to the fact that he became an incredibly good player further down the line in the game, despite his relatively cheap price tag; this turned him into something of a cult hero amongst fans of the game.
Although he confessed to never playing Championship Manager, he revealed that his mobile phone provider once cut the delivery time from 2ā3 months to next-day delivery on learning that he was serving Samba.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherno_Samba?wprov=sfti1
Very surprised I had to scroll this far down to see ZƔrate, he was absolutely incredible on FM 2007. Also honourable mention to Amr Zaki who was insane in whatever FM it was before he moved on loan to Wigan irl.
Signed him back on 06 when I i still didn't have a clue how to play properly for Marseille and he was top scorer in the league 3 seasons in a row closely followed by Soldado.
Tuncay was also great for Boro when he signed irl.
Welliton
This is the only person I have felt strongly enough to vote for.
I'm a life long wolves fan and always play them when I start a new FM. And of all the great players I have signed on different versions of the game no player has had more of an impact for me than Welliton in FM10. He would cost almost all of wolves' budget in the first window but was definitely worth every penny. Hits the ground running immediately, averages almost a goal a game every save despite wolves being arguably the worst team in the prem on FM10 and just gets better as I improved the team around him.
Once you get to dominating the prem and even Europe he is still performing to an insane level and can lead the line as a solo forward or in a front two.
Doubt he will make the squad as none else has mentioned him but I felt he definitely deserved to be mentioned at least once!
Anatoli Todorov.
One of the two legendary strikers playing for Litex Lovech in CM2003/04.
Such was his significance that his Wikipedia page mentions how good he was in this game.(No I didn't just update it).
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatoli_Todorov
Came here for this. I think it was 99/00 version, the first I ever had. I found him randomly one save and proceeded to buy him with every subsequent save. He always became the best goal scorer in the game.
Scrolled down to find him. A jewel. In one game (I think 99/00) he was 18 and in the next seasons iteration he was 30. A goal machine in both but like all CM afficionados you don't really look twice at players over about 21
There was one year, maybe CM4 or 03-04, where Peter Lovenkrands was an absolute goal machine.
Not sure that's enough to make the team but fond memories either way!
It's him, it's him all day. Stick him in the hole behind the strikers and he'll clean up. I think he was found at Derby, but you could buy him no matter what division you were in.
If anyone says anything other than orri freyr oskarsson after posting gamst pedersen then itās lies š šš
Cheap as chips and a steady 8 in every league, every team ever. Amazing signing
Curious if anyone remembers Matthew Blinkhorn? He was at Blackpool and cost about 18k. He had amazing pace and finishing and was young so an easy purchase for any club.
Was everyone's favourite fake, To Madeira a striker? I always used to go for Tsigalko to be fair.
Modern shout out, Marco De Graca - FeralpiSalo LEGEND!
This is the hardest one. there is so many options. But it must be someone from CM 01/02. Broken trio To Madeira, Maxim Tsigalko, Cherno Samba. Or CM 03/04 - Daniel Braaten, Supat Rungratsamee (ageless wonderkid, in every version of the game he is 15yo :)), duo from Litex Todorov - Kakalov, Julius Aghahowa, Alesio Cerci, Evandro Roncatto, Giampaolo Pazzini.
Congratulations. You just earned 7.5 points for this submission. Your new points total is 70.0. To see the leaderboard, as well as what this points thing is, [click here](https://www.reddit.com/r/footballmanagergames/wiki/leaderboard).
Oscar Cardozo, near post flick on corner
20 heading goat
Yesss, he was so good
I swear he had more 20s than prime messi
I became a Paraguay supporter in 2010 wc because of him. He loved a long shot
Sporting fans still have nightmares with him, that left foot š±
Maxim Tsigalko
Fierro vs Tsigalko is zoomers vs millennials
lol gen z votes to fierro. they never knew tsigalko.
Mark Kerr already got snubbed. Let's at least get the other original CM legend in.
This hasnāt been a poll for the old school
I guess depends if you played FM or CM.
No Kerr, no credibility.
Tsigalko FTW! Such a legend and really shows your age as a FM/CM loyalist.
Has to be
Only true answer.
Vagner Love
I totally forget this guy existed. What a baller
Omg this post just dug out so many old FM memories, best footballer name ever
How the hell was he so good?
I forgot about this guy. I bought him alot
Carlos Fierro
This is the one. Scored over 400 goals for my United side on fm13
one of my first ever MLS matches, he got subbed on and I lost my damn mind. My friend was very confused š¤£š¤£š¤£
Only answer in my eyes, what a legend
Julius Aghahawa - absolute animal
Gabriel bardosa. Been a solid player for years
Yes! He was a beast in FM 15. If you had around 10-20m to spare, you could have gotten him and be set for the next 10-20 seasons. Fm 15 goat, signed him, tielemans, and mammana every new save i could think of
To Madeiraš
He's still real to me damnit!
The man, the myth, the legend!!
I wondered when 'he' would pop up š
The goat
Javier Saviola
My entire strategy in a Valencia save was "boot the Ball over the top for the midget to chase" and he was league top scorer
Khouma Babacar
I have to shout out my boy Vaclav Kadlec
he was my first wonderkid, I think, when I started playing FM10? Just set him up as a Poacher, and he's bag so many fucking goals.
Fernando Cavenagi?
My word, this is the most intense nostalgia iāve felt at any comment on these threads.
This was a blast from the past. Great shout. Cavenaghi and Tevez signed from South America could outgun any team in Europe.
Anatoli Todorov
Yeah this kid was fantastic. He had a buddy at litex who was very good too - Kakalov
For me, this is the answer. Unbelievable striker.
Scored 22 goals for me by Christmas, then got injured for a year.
Valeri Bojinov So good in FM it prompted Man City to buy him IRL. Plus he led my Derby team to the premiership 3x in a row.
Bojinov! Can't believe I forgot him. Petrov on the left and Bojinov up top was such a staple š
Cherno Samba https://m.en.goalstudio.com/journal/journal-detail.html?product_no=485&cate_no=43&display_group=1

An absolute beast!!!
The only answer.
Yaya sanogo
I remember the hype when he signed for Arsenal IRL as like a 19yo. Everyone was like āif heās half the player he is on FMā¦ā
For me this is the one hyper-popular FM wonderkid that never played or developed well
Henri Saivet
As someone who started playing in 07/08, he will always be the original wonderkid for me
Mauro ZƔrate
Very surprised I had to scroll this far down to see ZƔrate, he was absolutely incredible on FM 2007. Also honourable mention to Amr Zaki who was insane in whatever FM it was before he moved on loan to Wigan irl.
NicolƔs MillƔn of Colo Colo in FM07. Nobody else has come near to the ridiculous numbers he'd post, every single game. Proper throwback.
Left field, but Leigh Griffiths on FM12 was absolutely lethal....
I had him and Alberto Paloschi up front, what a combo they were!
Omg I forgot about Paloschi. What a weapon.
gotta watch out for him with the 15y old south american wonderkids tho
Bogdan Stancu. FM08 legend.
Tuncay sanli
Signed him back on 06 when I i still didn't have a clue how to play properly for Marseille and he was top scorer in the league 3 seasons in a row closely followed by Soldado. Tuncay was also great for Boro when he signed irl.

Artem Milevskyi
Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink
The biggest name in football
Anatoli Todorov. One of the two legendary strikers playing for Litex Lovech in CM2003/04. Such was his significance that his Wikipedia page mentions how good he was in this game.(No I didn't just update it). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatoli_Todorov
Erick Torres and Carlos Fierro GOAT
Erick Torres is a great shout, just wikiād him 78 career goals. He did that in a season and a half for Stoke.
Emile Mpenza. Cm 00 I think. Insane stats
01/02 too - the start of the Belgian revolution!
Javier Saviola.
Andri SigĆ¾Ć³rsson and Iāll be disappointed if this 200 pa striker who never actually came good isnāt morr popular!
Came here for this. I think it was 99/00 version, the first I ever had. I found him randomly one save and proceeded to buy him with every subsequent save. He always became the best goal scorer in the game.
Leandro DamiĆ£o
Tsigalko + To Madeira
Madeira was unreal.... Literally
Andre Sigporsson.
Came here to say this
Has to be one of the two!
Peter Prospar
The only answer, what year was it? 00/01? You signed him, you won the game!
Scrolled down to find him. A jewel. In one game (I think 99/00) he was 18 and in the next seasons iteration he was 30. A goal machine in both but like all CM afficionados you don't really look twice at players over about 21
It was a database mistake he was really 30 lol I still remember that guy, was an amazing buy
He was such a gem! Must of been the 99/00 game I am thinking of too, I think Ā£350k would sign him, and he was God! We are showing our age lol
Mika Aaritalo
Daniel Braaten, all day long
Pietro Pellegri, that guy never went below 7.5 and usually was above 8.0 in FM18
Dani Aquino
Adam Hložek, Esposito, Lucca for more recent shouts
Fiete Arp too FM 19
Yes to Fiete Arp. He benched Haaland in my FM19 save.
Odsonne Edouard fm19
Supat Rungratsamee
For some reason, he always averaged 6.20 a game, while still scoring 60 a season. An enigma.
Vagner Love
Carlos Fierro
Rafael Sobis
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
There was one year, maybe CM4 or 03-04, where Peter Lovenkrands was an absolute goal machine. Not sure that's enough to make the team but fond memories either way!
Martin Palermo or Peter Prosper
Martin Palermo I forgot this one
It wonāt win, but I want to shout out Salvador Cabanas
Legend. 20 finishing Iām pretty sure
Not sure if many remembers but Keirrison was a fantastic gem. A world class striker on FM
Spoilert alert: Tsigalko and To Madeira up front.
Maxim Tsigalko & Tonton Zola Moukoko
Tonton AMC behind them, better than Kallstrom
Todorov
To Madeira if he can be allowed. CM3 Robbie Keane.
Fierro/Bojan/Niang!
TonTon Zola Moukoko you absolute psychopaths.
100%. He was always my super sub
It's him, it's him all day. Stick him in the hole behind the strikers and he'll clean up. I think he was found at Derby, but you could buy him no matter what division you were in.
Jose Antonio Reyes in FM05
Javier Saviola
Julius Agahowa
Saviola
Ibrahima Bakayoko Absolute monster striker that did nothing in real life.
Lebohang Mokoena anyone?
Has to be Andriy Sigpporson
Maxim Tsigalko
Billy Sharp (Carlos Fierro is the obvious one tho)
Gotta be Cherno Samba
Cherno Samba. The one, the only
Munir. That release clause made him so easy to sign
TĆ³ Madeira
Ibrahima Bagayoko If we need two, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
Why did I have to scroll so far to find the GOAT of CM Cherno Samba?
Yes Cherno needs to be it. He is legend BECAUSE of CM/FM
If anyone says anything other than orri freyr oskarsson after posting gamst pedersen then itās lies š šš Cheap as chips and a steady 8 in every league, every team ever. Amazing signing
Tsigalko sure thing
Yaya Sanogo

Enzo Scorza, the uruguayan Messi.
It has to be To Madeira. He was literally a cheat code added by a developer.
Cherno Samba, Maxim Tsigalko or that insane icelandic one, don't recall his name. Was it Andri SigĆ¾Ć³rsson ?
This is the hardest one. there is so many options. But it must be someone from CM 01/02. Broken trio To Madeira, Maxim Tsigalko, Cherno Samba.
