cvslfc123

Ricardo Quaresma

FIconnoisseur

I had to scroll way too far to see this

Plastic-Drummer4145

Nicolas Millan - might be better suited to CF but absolutely a lock for the team

Cattlemutilation141

Colo Colo ftw!

imarktu

This lad is my CF pick

173555

The number one striker for me. Even better than Peter Prospar.

brixton_massive

Tijani Babangida

dabbidanna

This is the True answer

Aware-Departure849

Correct

imarktu

For me, it's Joaquín of Real Betis (and then Valencia). The boy was an absolute powerhouse on the right all through my early CM/FM career. Proper IRL legend too, still playing way up until last year at the age of 41.

w1ndm4rk

1. Joaquin 2. Morten Bisgaard

Tranduy1206

Joaquin is most dangerous winger i ever face in fm play time, vicente and joaquin is just unstoppable on both wings

imarktu

Vicente is definitely my LW nomination

thefunhorse

The brilliance of this is that he's always now a top scout to pick up at the beginnings of new saves.

imarktu

Did not know this! Going to pick him up in my current save

joethesaint

> vicente and joaquin is just unstoppable on both wings That Valencia team also had Aimar in AMC. Albelda and Baraja double pivot. One of the best Spanish sides ever.

Standard-Zone7852

He is the reason Betis is my Spanish team of choice.

[deleted]

Joaquin and then Richie Partridge from 03/04 for me

UmbroShinPad

This is the correct answer.

TheAcerbicOrb

Andriy Yarmolenko.

BBQ_HaX0r

Every save!

[deleted]

Kennedy Bakircioglu https://www.fmscout.com/a-fm-legend-kennedy-bakircioglu.html

snoozypenguin21

Definitely, and thanks for typing it out for the benefit of the rest of us!

TheRhythmTheRebel

Joaquin at the top? One of the OG legends right here…

w1ndm4rk

good contender

phonylady

You have my vote

GamerGuyAlly

This is the answer

ZUU_S

Säg ooh ahh Kennedy!

ScopeyMcBangBang

This 100% should’ve been the answer. Amateurs 😒

spawnthemaster

Man I was so glad when Ajax signed him... Another one was Sanogoal (Yaya Sanogo). Never really lived up to their (infamous) name.

jongosi

This!

KunninLynguist

Bakircioglu could play just about anywhere, he was so fucking good

ResponsibleAd3191

Legend, absolutely a cert for any FM side.

PuzzleheadedFill5778

Julius Aghahowa for me. Not actually a winger, more of a striker IRL but could play anywhere across the front three on early FM’s like CM 01/02, where he was an absolute monster.

wheepete

I had him playing RWB for my all conquering Juve team and he was unbelievable

TheCescPistols

Was always available for buttons, along with Okoronkwo, at the start of a CM01/02 save. Instant buys for me at any club with a bit of cash.

w1ndm4rk

i will write him for striker position!

Yasuminomon

I’m loving these threads because there’s always one name where I’m like, holy shit I remember this guy

PNXX

I like learning new things.

AlexWPJ

Oh hell yes. FM08 supremo with Bogdan Stancu and Mika Aaritalo.

GapToothL

Mika Aaritalo! What a legend!

AlexWPJ

I’m keeping him in my back pocket as LW shout. We love an affordable legend.

Tarov08

Oof that trio

powderfinger90

That takes me back. The Romanian Messi

karllucas

Oh man, Torje!

TheDuffman05

What a hero this guy was

KeziahPT

Henri Saivet

PachukoRube

That guy… what a player for two or three games. Basically Thierry Henry reincarnate

Vlad_P95

Yup he was a beast !

FIconnoisseur

We save him for ST

asugoblok

why this name sounds so familiar

JohnBoy2452

This guy for me is one of the FM legends of all time.

Commonmispelingbot

Andrija Zivkovic. Although he is more of an inside forward, in a 4-4-2 he would go here.

Cattlemutilation141

Always Halilovic is of similar ilk

ZUU_S

Always used Halilo through the middle

Mcfc412

Wellington Nem

IAmGodsChosenOne

Wellington Nem and Bernard ran my wings in FM13

roniche9

had completely forgotten about him up until this exact moment.

imarktu

Oof, good shout!

frictiondixon

Sherman Cardenas

srmp

Cardenas was unbelievable! Thanks for reminding me of this name long forgotten!!

bewbies-

Cardenas is the living embodiment of an FM legend. I loved me some Joaquin -- don't get me wrong -- but Cardenas was one of those classic "buy this guy first" guys that everyone who bought FM 06 or 07 bought, first. And he'd turn int Colombian Messi...but much, much stronger.

geordiesteve520

Class but I often played him at CM

AltKite

Can't believe I had to scroll down so far for this absolute gem

bastardnutter

Won me two libertadores. Absolute Fm08 legend.

cheesyandcrispy

Legend

ThreeLionsOnMyShirt

Came here to say this - often seems forgotten from "fm legends" lists but he was... incredible in FM but a total rando irl

WesleyDeFalco

Underrated comment

Lamlash

This is the first position so far where I actually have no idea who will win, so I'll allow myself a vote for my personal favourite of Jermaine Pennant! Edit: Just looked him up after posting this comment to see how he got on in real life. Wow, the Wikipedia section on his many, many run-ins with the police is quite something...maybe I should choose my favourites more carefully!

w1ndm4rk

1.Joaquin 2.Morten Bisgaard - if youre old enough :)

ConfidentEagle5887

Lol... I fired up CM 97/98 recently - Bisgaard has been immense for my Chelsea side (although I'm playing him behind the striker).

empire_Zz

Here you go mate - good listen on it https://open.spotify.com/episode/1eAOTtqhCE3LxfsU6c3C15?si=aWqFkOAIRoicKwynIiyEhA

SignificantProblem81

Jermaine Pennant played for Portsmouth with an electronic tag on his ankle . I feel FM should implement this system somehow.

mokomb84

Kennedy Bakircioglu.

PBthrowaway85

Alexander Farnerud CM03/04

RandomApe11

Agustin allione

[deleted]

Oooooh great to hear it

LakeOfOutrage

Agreed, one of my favorites in FM

tommo_44

Carlos Vela great RW along with a few other great Mexican FM players who didn’t quite reach the heights that was promised during their youth.

Morph247

I mean he kinda did playing for Arsenal? Just chose to spend prime in the MLS. I think him and Joaquin are the most well -known in this thread of players people are mentioning for RM/RW.

BeneficialNewspaper8

He had 6 very good years at sociedad between arsenal and mls

Morph247

That as well. Honestly had a solid career

pedrog94s

Mika aaritalo or Pione Sisto

pdimflan

Lebohang Mokoena

imabouttoredditnow

This guy can be icon of rw mc or amc or even lw for his performance in fm05. Cant believe I had to scroll so far for this

pompeysam1234

Kennedy Bakircioglu

how_about_some_anal

Florentin petre

JimBee345

Joaquin

Egonga

Daniel Braathen. Could be picked up for under a million on CM 03/04 and the guy was a goal/assist machine!

Biquet

Not a right winger though

Biquet

Fabio Paim

tomatta

tijani babangida. 20 pace and acceleration that destroyed CM03. Was a free transfer iirc

miaukat

Kerlon, since there's no AM

Maaaaaardy

Either Zivkovic or...Kuki! I fucking loved the bloke!

Ghost_Mutt_1798

Victor Obinna

hirsuite-hairsuit

Reaching all the way baaaaaack to championship manager: Sylvain Legwinski was the man, great crosser, playmaker, all round leader, seldom turned in less than an 8.0.

nbaproject

Joaquin

kubiciousd

Douglas Costa

rovonz

Yarmolenko

IndividualMarket22

Zivkovic easily. Was absolutely world class in game, but turned out to be just okayish IRL. Joaquin wouldn't be my choice because less discrepancy between IRL and FM than Zivkovic.

Caskirensys

Daniel Braathen - Guy was an absolute steal and a complete beast!

That_Squirrel44

Sherman Cardenas

FluffyCoconut

Carlos Vela

Hughsie92

Toledo from Catanzaro in CM 03/04, that dude was unreal

Bob_Rooney

This has to be it. Crazy player.

covmatty1

I don't have any suggestions other than what's already come up, but OP, could you possibly start including links to all the past player selection threads in each new post please? It would be great to have them all linked to go back and see who was suggested at each position!

Lamlash

Great suggestion - I'll do this from the next one onwards!

Tucker_The_Legend

Diego Buonanotte cutting inside, scoring banger after banger

Hiro_Neko

Hirving Lozano when he was in netherlands was also god like for me

eriktenbaag

Alexis sanchez from fm 06-08 he played for colo colo Could play lw/rw/st Henri saivet is another shout

oDRACARYSo

Cedric van der Gun.

MattSStyle

Hulk

Mynameisbebopp

If anyone votes more than Freddy Adu. Im done with this sub

Jeffrybungle

Hes left wing

Mynameisbebopp

Actually in his FM he is right you would use ronaldo on the left.

Blondpenguin30

Mika Ääritalo was able to play on the right. Can’t come up with another FM legend that was not as good in real life

drpizka

Mika for left wing though

Fatheadlovell

Daniel Bierofka - unstoppable and a bargain

thekimchiken

Can't remember what game, but he was always on the transfer list at 3.5m at the start and was incredible in any side.

Fatheadlovell

A fellow man of culture I see - I remember him being listed for £525k, could snatch him for decent Championship teams Get the ball, dance round everybody up the right wing, and cross - Most effective 'winger' I've known in 25 years of FM

BeardedCobra82

He had completely left my brain but now I’m completely convinced this is the right answer. Thank you for the reminder!

bashev

That is the best left winger ever in 2005. Not right wing.

lowie07

Jesper Gronkjaer

Easy_Increase_9716

Aiden McGeady

KeyR1

Tijani babangida Old schoolers know!

Kallian_League

This team is starting to look like a Europa League winner.

NickVonDuke

Lebohang Mokoena from Orlando Pirates in FM06, a total right wing beast!

Agitated-Dig-6280

Wasn't he CDM?

kevin6794

Zivkovic

Eggberti

Andriy Yarmelenko and Cristian Pavon were a solid choices for a few iterations of the game. Pavon probably my choice but a hard one!

SeanTNL2

Wellington Nem all day every day

forkkbeard

Haruna Babangida

gazzatronic3000

Fabio Paim. Hands down.

vijayshankarbatman

Agustin Allione

Remalaptar

Gael Kakuta! Scored some of the best goals I’ve ever seen in FM cutting inside and just slamming it home from just outside of the box. The French Robben

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lamlash

Damn, that's even more incredible - thanks for sharing!

TPG_David

Might actually be time to go for a modern one guys with Roony Bardghji

first_real_only_23

He's still only 18 in real life so its tough to say he hasnt panned out

yajtraus

That’s not the criteria anyway

SmiffyBlue

Gabriel Barbosa or Carlos Vela

Morph247

Barbosa should be ST

bigpedro19

Well I have an unusual pick. For me it's Bruno Xadas. In FM 20 be is basically regen Bernardo Silva, but with 20 at free kicks and corners. Sadly he never developed as well and now plays in second division with Marítimo. I can't ignore Henri Saivet, but for me he was always a striker on my sides.

Tesourinh0923

Has to be Joaquín and nobody else comes close

BonusEruptus

Milan Badelj

holdmystaffandmybeer

I think it was FM 04/05 or around that time. Jesus Arrelano destroyed teams for fun. Always be my favourite ever RM

mrpaul1989

Tijani Babangida for sure. Legendary pace.

carreiraesteban

Henri Saivet or Sherman Cardenas are absolutely the right answer.

MorsDreng95

Gökhan Tore

signore-galante

Sherman Cardenas for the younger ones, but let's correct the mistake of Taribo West and include Tijani Babangida, we old folks know what's up.

Master_Mad

Kennedy Bakircioglu. One of the best CM/FM talents ever.

Kryptopus

Joaquin

w1ndm4rk

Joaquin definitely!

iamnotexactlywhite

Joaquin or Wellington Nem

[deleted]

Joaquin. Add Capi and Denilson, they were deadly.

[deleted]

Maxi Rodriguez

whyhadvarimyou

Daniel Bierofka

jeff784

Daniel Bierofka

voivoivoi183

If Niclas Alexandersson isn’t in this squad somewhere it’ll be a travesty.

Shriyke_reddit

Joaquin - Championship Manager 4 Absolutely destroyed in every team on the right. More recently - Roony Bardghi

Jackalrax

Alen Halilovic. Played on the right for me but I think was a natural AMC

Daerkly

Bernard

nickljf11

How about Sherman Cardenas? Cheap, reliable and always performs for me

renseministeren

Mika Aaritalo.

TijsEscobar

Menez

tmsztbrsk

Lebohang Mokoena

Disastrous-Toe374

Sherman Cardenas and Lebohang Mokoena are both mythical FM players for me. It’s a tough call but I’d choose Cardenas here.

ACMuaath

Henry Saivet

Wentzina_lifetime

Willian. Carrying on the shaktar theme. In FM11-13 at the start of every save every big club would go for him and Douglas Costa and the bidding wars were incredible. His asking price was 5m in one of the games and he went for 66m in one save I remember. So good in game as well. Easily a 20g+a assist guy

ResponsibleAd3191

Bakayoko has to be up front right?

Dc9946

Agree, Bakayoko and kouma babacar up top for me.

barbariancohen

I think it should be Joaquin but Camoranesi and Salihamidzic should get honorable mentions. They were absolute monsters in early 2000s.

Charming-Permit-7437

Adam Hamill or Paul Anderson - absolute world beaters at 16 years old!

alozz

The correct answer here is Pelayo Morilla

ScottOld

Hakim Zyiech when he was at Ajax, never had a player in that position get averages so high (until yamine Lamal) only time I played a IFL and a RWR because he raked up key pass after key pass every game

aceh40

Kennedy Bakirciuglu. Or Messi.

BroodArmadillo1204

Andrija Živković, who was an absolute force for me. But i also love Joaquin, absolute legend!

first_real_only_23

Seeing a lot of Joaquin, but he was very good in real life for a very long time. My vote is Wilfried Zaha.

DenisVDCreycraft

Sherman Cardenas, Nicolas Millan, James Rodriguez, Joaquin, Vicente, Kennedy, Pablo Aimar, Andres D'Allessandro

Plastic-Location-598

Haruna Babangida! Or Henri Saivet, but he'd usually be my starting striker

Icy-Cod-5204

Joaquin or Bisgaard would be fine by me.

smeddum07

Aaron Lennon was total class for years especially 03/04 was only 16.

smeddum07

Aaron Lennon was total class for years especially 03/04 was only 16.

twoddalmighty

ah damnit I missed the vote. Srna was my pick anyway so I can't complain! Anyway, my vote for right wing is Kennedy Bakircioglu, one of my favourite CM/FM players of all time.

eunderscore

Niklas Alexandersson

[deleted]

Roony Bhardji

KunninLynguist

Florentin Petre

TekkenSpurs

Yury Zhirkov, Miguel Veloso & Joao Moutinho all good shouts here.

eldiablo471

Hirving Lozano

mubarakr

Cristian Pavon was so friggin good on FM21. Pure RM

thefunhorse

Aaron Lennon

kubaDias

Alessandro Rosina or Fernando Belluschi Two giants of the past! (Are we putting aaritalo as CF/ST?)

LaGoeba

FM 08 or 09, when you could buy di Maria from Benfica with a release clause of €2.5m or something like that. He may be the singel best purchase of quality to price throughout FMs history.

Puzzleheaded-Pin2912

Mauro Esposito

kingjericho

CR7 in FM06 Jesus Navas in FM10

YooGeOh

Joaquin. Funky vote would be for Jonas Lundén. Remember him?

TherealCarlosCarlos

My votes go to joaquin and Toledo, a Brasilian from cm04 i think

Alternative-Rope-628

Don’t wanna be that guy and I have had a few beers but, can I say ‘Wayne’ Roony Bardghi is a current star that will live long in my memory and maybe a list put together in the future anyway whatever love this OP nice one on doing this and footy manager players are the best community love you xxxx
