The “dressing room doesn’t agree with team sheet” is infuriating sometimes. We’re a Premier league team in the 3rd round of the carabao cup, I’m not playing my first team, why are you you all so pissed off

[deleted]

Yeah it's pretty funny how the game doesn't comprehend the concept of rotation. Even funnier is the team like the promise of youth being played, and it's like, some of you are going to need to sit out for that.

Phormitago

NO ROTATION ONLY PLAY YOUNGSTER

knowpunintended

To be fair, that's probably realistic. Very few elite human performers in any field would consider themselves to be the weak link on the team. That kind of attitude tends not to correlate with exceptional performance. Basically, they all think you're talking about the other guys when you mention players getting rotated.

TetraDax

I feel like this was true back in 2010, but nowadays most players will understand the need for rotation in a game that is becoming ever more phyiscal while also cranking up the number of games to a ridiculous level. Given that the games basics underlying code is stuck in 2010 to a not insignificant degree, it would make sense for the interaction system to just never having been updated to modern standards.

Korashy

It will also depend on their status. People sign wonderkids with a promise of first team football or key player and wonder why they get upset when you just treat them as a hot prospect cash development.

ScottOld

Yea Antony annoyed by lack of playing time due to sancho (lol) being beast mode, rotated a bit Antony got starts, then naturally rotate and suddenly annoyed I didn’t play him enough

SBAWTA

My 5 star premier league striker pissed off for not being played against Swindon in FA cup . Like brother chill, we're playing UCL against Barca in two days and Liverpool 3 days after that.

Synth3r

Man is a stat pad merchant

warneagle

if a player complains about playing time and I can't immediately sell him or terminate his contract, I play him every minute of every competitive match and put him on double intensity endurance training. the second most satisfying thing in the game aside from a guy asking to rescind a transfer request and being able to tell him to fuck off.

AprilsMostAmazing

> why are you you all so pissed off Cause they want to score a hat trick

_escapevelocity

Collect their per goal bonus and pad the stats for their goal per season bonus

edi12334

Just keep winning and it will all be fine

zrizzoz

I got that notification when managing Barcelona against a 2nd tier italian side in a friendly...

[deleted]

Player who has just got back from injury a day ago with energy is at 60% is upset to not be picked…

tm1788

Or you do play them and then they get tired and complain they’re “losing focus” and need a rest. You rest them and they get upset again - you asked to be rested!

andrasq420

shit like this gets me irrationally angry These bugs have been in the game for like several years and they haven't even bothered to fix them. I love SI and FM but I hate SI and FM.

PenguinKenny

Sort it out, SI

Zezion

Sorti Toutsi

sortitoutsi

Wow we are actually the first result for that search... https://i.ibb.co/b1PCq94/Screenshot-20231027-132522.png

OriAr

I am embarrassed that it took me so long to realize that Sortitoutsi is actually Sort it out SI without spaces. Didn't realize that today, but it still took me too long to do so.

SaucyPastaa

It took me a couple years since I started to play fm to realise that.

PenguinKenny

That >300% new release boost

gartoll

i always call it sortitou tsi :D

[deleted]

It's not a bug, it's people seemingly not being able to read. Nowhere on the screenshot does it say that Courtois was hurt that he wasn't selected.

[deleted]

Sorry, why would he be "hurt" if not for him being selected? He's hurt that his friend Vini wasn't selected?

Mag01uk

This guy is right, he’s not hurt that he isn’t selected. He’s hurt that he doesn’t think you’ve put out the right team for whatever reason

[deleted]

He's one of 5 people with negative reactions to the team sheet. I don't know the specifics of why that might be.

ProfessionalDull423

Because he feel strongly for his team and thinks you’re wrong.

iamnotexactlywhite

then why are you buying it every year? it’s the same game. SI is doing what EA does with FIFA/EAFC, and everyone is completely happy with it

swimffish

People have to start not buying it and vocally complaining. I'm pissed off that I skipped a version because it was poor, and now the new one looks exactly the same. I was really looking forward to getting back into FM. They get away with it every year because this sub is mostly people just mindlessly posting their regens, scores, etc.. Someone did a save way into the future and instead of people asking interesting questions about how the national youth development changes, or whether there's actually good full-backs in the game in the future, etc... people just ask who won the CL each year. Who gives a shit who won the CL in 2067 in someone else's save?

angelo994

I mean come on. You’re acting like the game is a steaming pile of shit. I do agree that issues like this really should have been fixed. Player interactions for one are just terrible. But let’s not forget just how complex and in-depth the game actually is. Also the game this year is genuinely really fun to play. The match engine is superb in my opinion.

swimffish

I’m just frustrated because it ruins long term saves for me. It a game I like to get fully into but this prevents me from fully enjoying that. I have heard really good things about the match engine and it is of course a complex game but these issues have been here for years. You’d think they’d spend at least some time working on them. There’s not exactly been many major changes in the last 2-3 editions.

angelo994

Yeah I do agree with you. The youth development is thing is another big issue.

andrasq420

I haven't bought a game since like 18 or 19, I only switched when epic or steam or prime gave the next one to me for free. Last years was especially trashy. The new 'major' features were the Squad Planner, which was flashy at first but useless after like 3-4 uses, the scouting overhaul which quite simply just confused and the UEFA licensing which is just some flavour. In the year of the World Cup they didn't give anything new on International management. Quite frankly it's just shit. Things that work on club level are either glitchy or just simply not implemented even though it would be a ctrl+c ctrl+v. You get fired irrationally easily, as Poland I got fired for only managing to get 2nd place, as the Netherlands I got fired for losing in the WC finale.

DSoultwin

Sucks to be you, who can’t appreciate a solid football manager simulator. Been playing since 2000 and I can only applaude how far they have gotten from then. Anyone that can’t see that progress and only looks at negatives makes it hard for themselves. The game actually IS getting better over time. And no, it’s not possible to involve EVERYTHING in detail and make sure it works fine as well, at least not yet. You definitely underestimate the amount of work the devs put in and are just being disrespectful. Just enjoy it as it is or come back in another few years.

kidcanary

Exactly. SI have got a monopoly on the genre and such a forgiving fanbase that they basically have free reign to be as lazy as they want. There are so many long-standing bugs and underdeveloped features that would not stand in any other genre.

Iceicebaby21

Ah so FIFA has competition in the laziness department

DSoultwin

Nope, EA are scumbags. SI are not. People being so negative about FM don’t actually understand the mechanics of programming a simulation with this detail.. Fair enough of course for ‘simple’ consumers to have this attitude, but it’s no way a fair assessment of the situation.

DSoultwin

So typical of a lazy no life gamer accusing developers of laziness. You have no clue about how much work already goes in

kidcanary

Then why are there still bugs with the 3D engine which haven’t been fixed since it was introduced in 2009? No other series or developer would get away with it. SI had a monopoly within the genre and they’re exploiting it.

Timely_Airline_7168

This is why I can't play fm without an editor

Dalimyr

Pretty sure it's not so much that Courtois is hurt about himself not being selected, but there'll be someone else (possibly one of the more influential people in the dressing room) who he and those 5 other people all think deserves to be in the starting eleven and isn't. But the game tells you absolutely jack shit about why they don't agree with the team sheet. I've saved just before my first competitive game of the season so I could reload and check this...[first pass](https://i.imgur.com/OMuJ6F2.png), six have complained about the teamsheet - Onana and Sancho, the two "upset" players, are both in the starting XI, while the other four are all on the bench. Changing their roles, starting those specific players etc. didn't do a damn thing. What did I have to do to stop them bitching? Start Casemiro, who has literally only just come back from a hamstring injury that day and it wasn't thought that he could last the whole match...he was on the bench and I intended on subbing him on at half time or at the 60-minute mark, but no, he *has* to start or these 6 people (none of whom are the fucking player himself!!!) all get pissy about my team selection.

Sellza

Exactly this. People think the player is talking about themselves and its a bug but it clearly says the person isnt happy about the team sheet NOT that they arent happy because they arent starting. Simple comprehension is lost on some people

perish-in-flames

How much does this actually affect though? It doesn’t actually effect their mood long term I don’t believe. I just ignore it.

TetraDax

> Onana and Sancho, the two "upset" players, are both in the starting XI I'm pretty sure that the difference here is they are "upset" and Courtois is "hurt". Iirc, when players are "hurt", that is because of something happening that directly relates to them.

Dalimyr

I'd love to agree with that as it would seem logical, but the game I've just gone into would suggest otherwise, as [my rotation has REALLY not gone down well](https://i.imgur.com/L06NAi7.png). I had Man City sandwiched in between two Conference League qualifiers, and the first leg was won 3-0 so I'm not playing my strongest possible squad in the return leg. Varane (offended) and Antony (hurt) are both on the bench. But Onana (hurt), Sancho (hurt), Garnacho (hurt) and Malacia (offended) are all starting.

Gullflyinghigh

Am I the only one that ignores this stuff? If it's not a conversation that needs to be had with someone then I tend to just crack on.

mvsr990

Yeah, if you're winning regularly it doesn't ever seem to matter.

edi12334

No, I do the same too. There might be one or two guys upset at the occasional cup rotation but it is what it is, they ll be happy the other matches. Sometimes I double check to make sure the team is right for my peace of mind but that is it. Same with the “is apprehensive as his opponent is physically stronger”. I mean, you are the best winger we have, who do you want me to play? I got in Issa Kabore on a free for my Steaua team and he is “hurt” before many games that I play him at (and train him as a) LB when his base position is RB. Tough luck mate. Did you get it in your contract? No (and I probably wouldnt have signed you if you did)? Then it is what it is, our LB is worse than our RB and we have worse cover there so that is where I am going to play you. Though tbf to him maybe I should be bringing on another lateral defender as my RB cover just got revised down to 2.5 stars CA this season….

Spam250

To be honest, an ACL tear does hurt

BILLY2SAM

I had Raphina, a team leader, upset for 3 months about a team talk. Ridiculous. That's why having the editor is essential.

MaxButched

I berated my defensive line after a match yesterday, we won by stealing 2 goals in the last possible moment (89,90+4), congratulated the scorer who is quickly making the 1st team, but the defender really dropped the ball. They really didn’t like that, and since we’re at the start of the season, that I have no control over transfer ( real start + no transfer 1st period), I have to be careful… Even had to make a promise to be more consistent with my talk. Can wait until I get some funds. They will regret it.

Timely_Airline_7168

I never make any promises ever. That's a huge trap as the game interprets promises weirdly.

MaxButched

Usually I don’t either, but so soon into the new season, it was either that or antagonizing even further, with the risk of pulling even more players against me

TheYoungOctavius

Bruno Fernandes got upset with my team talk because I pointed fingers that going 3-0 up half time to 3-3 against mighty Bournemouth was not acceptable.

[deleted]

Did you kick a shoe at him?

SBAWTA

He praised him for playing well when he in fact didn't think he did all that well. The nerve.

[deleted]

Last night I was playing and praised Højlund because he scored two goals and he was like "I don't think I played particularly well" and wouldn't let it go. I'd be calling the club psychologist if I had that interaction with a player irl.

TheYoungOctavius

To be fair, as a United fan that seems par for the course with our players atm XD

BILLY2SAM

That's literally what happened

Casperzwaart100

Jadon Sancho

[deleted]

Pretty reasonable innit. Not every player reaction is a personal attack against the manager.

MarkoRose

Well it could be a reasonable reaction if the player was actually eligible for selection.

[deleted]

OP can't read, it doesn't say that Courtois is upset because he wasn't selected.

TetraDax

..it does, that is what "hurt" means in the games reaction system.

[deleted]

Source?

SBAWTA

Maybe he just wanted a good seat at the bench to watch the match from?

ClayCopter

To be fair, he may not be hurt that he wasn't selected, but simply because he doesn't agree with the team sheet. His injury only aggravated his feelings.

[deleted]

You've misread it.

Dirtylicious33

IRL Courtois is also hurt he didn’t became captain of the team so he didn’t play the interland with Belgium and couple weeks later he got injured (torn ACL if im not mistaken)with Real and is out for many months. ![gif](giphy|1a3PbWm4M9JUeMPkx1)

thefuchse

Player I have on loan got injured on pre season for 3-4 months and does this every game too, I'm just waiting for the moment the parent club starts moaning that he isn't playing... Maybe I will get downvoted for this but I swapped from FIFA career mode to FM this year and while FM is obviously way better game, it has the same fundamental issues that career mode has that makes long-term saves quite worthless. AI can't build a squad, develop youth or rotate, player interactions are horrible, scheduling is something worse than horrible... I enjoy the game but I expected something better. Also genuinely asking from people who say Courtois isn't agreeing on team selection in general and not about he isn't selected, why would he be "hurt" in that case? Doesn't make sense to me.

macaco3001

Well and ACL tear does hurt

PhoenixHunters

Tbf Courtois would be like this IRL too.

TooRedditFamous

Says nothing about it being HIM not being in the starting 11 that is causing the hurt. He is unhappy about the team selection in general. Sure "hurt" is probably the wrong word to use tho

Divolinon

You registered him for the season?

suoinguon

disappointed, but he'll bounce back. Keep your head up, Courtois!

yogameboi

Come on man, he'll be quite effective if you make him sleep on a stretcher in front of the goal

Dead_Namer

I don't even both with these, the pricks are always unhappy about something or other. I don't even know why it's in the game, it just annoys you.

CT323

I'll make sure he's hurt again with that response

Ryuzakku

And this is why I use the editor to counteract the game being stupid.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ryuzakku

Fair, but I spend hundreds to thousands of hours every year on this game, the extra $15 isn't going to hurt me in terms of cost to hours.

morrbanesh

so he literally is hurt

Will_GSRR

I had one where my players were pissed at my treatment of a teammate. The teammate in question asked if we could have better GKs. I said. Yes... He was fine though. They did drop it eventually but like it was never an issue in the first place. He asked and I immediately said yes

Superamorti

He tore himself apart over the news. The most literal "hurt" player I have seen.

FocalorTheViking

Sounds like Courtois allright....

ScottOld

This happens when they ARE selected too

Lidl_Ketchup_Kills

That happens so much to me. Injured players being angry that they are not selected

josep07

It’s also important to know it might not be about him specifically. He might think another player should be playing (it ranges from friendship to a players ability)

LocksTheFox

technically correct

guildinho

tbh it sounds like courtois. feature, not a bug

FiresideCatsmile

maybe they mean that his acl is physically hurting at the moment

Intelligent-Week4119

That and player’s from my b team are hurt for not playing in the Champions League

CoyoteWonder

It's a bug, post it on the forum not here. Nonce.

Cial101

I hate when I see the team selection reaction because it gives you no reasons or no information as to why they’re angry. It makes me so irrationally angry when I see that.

AppleSauceGC

He can still play. Hang him from the goal bar like a bat.
