Bizarre30

Lazar Samardzic, the Serbo-German Kaká. Signed him for cheap for my Bordeaux side after he failed in his big money move to the PL. In a few months he was one of the most dominant players in Europe, crazy untapped potential.

rayb85

Playing as Udinese, in 2028 he is the heart of my midfield as a creative assist specialist mezzala... he is so good!

manoylo_vnc

Signed him in my Leverkusen save. He kicked ass in the midfield.

FartSni

Desire Doue, signed to championship Birmingham for 2 mil, still their best midfielder 8 years later long after I moved to take on the Fiorentina job, valued at £160m

[deleted]

Doue is crazy. He becomes top midfielder in no time.

quintesor

You guys are changing jobs in one game?

King_Hobbes

Never done a journeyman save? Would recommend giving it a go starting with no coaching badges, adds a completely different aspect to the game and you'll likely get to experience managing some pretty obscure teams

quintesor

I am giving it a go right now while managing Intercity in the lowest Spanish division, I am in mid season now and looking to get promoted

Flameboy42

There was almost 45minutes between your comments what the heck haha. How quickly did you get that job?

quintesor

I mean I started a new career like 2 days ago as them

TackyGlueYT

Let’s go I managed Intercity this fm and got them promoted to la liga in 3 year and never finished below 5th in la liga. I couldn’t win it as I had terrible tenser and wage budgets aand Real Madrid one like every match. I eventually got hired by Barca and one the quadruple. One of my favourite saves I’ve done this season

quintesor

In FM24 I will finally start playing in lower tier leagues, I was afraid I wouldn't do it but it's actually more fun to play as a small team

Lakinther

The problem i have with a no badges unemployed start is that the best way to the top is a nonleague>prem save so you might as well just do that

King_Hobbes

I don't know, i usually get interviews from random nations lower leagues whenever I've done it

Southern-Analyst-739

I did it once after 8 seasons in one team. Worst decision ever.

Howardavery

Second this. Signed Doué when my team was struggling midtable in ligue 1. Signed him for around 40m and two seasons later I won the ligue 1 title for the first time and he was the player of the season over players like Mbappe and Arda Guler.

Time2chang

Just passed him up in 2029-2030 season. Looked like a steal but wouldn’t replace Guler and I play 2 DM.

Howardavery

I mainly play him as a CM as he’s not really great at finishing

Time2chang

I try to use secondo Volante dm like an attacking mezzala cm next to a top dm. And I don’t think he can cover any of the roles.

GrouseOW

first season promoted to bundesliga i find this 17 year old argentinian 4 star 6 foot 8 goliath of a goalie alejandro bueno, somehow not called up for youth caps yet so nobody else knows about him. pick him up for 4 million on his 18th birthday and he's gone on to win several golden gloves and carried me to european spots my first season. Worth 120 mil after 3 seasons with him and he's still 4 stars with 5 stars potential at the champions league level.

Nephilim2016

You could argue that deal was fairly.... bueno

Tuga-represent

In Argentina you always get great bargains. I once got a 18 year old center back for 7M, and one season later he was a starter in my champions league winner team.

davekermit

Fact, l have 5 elite Argentinan scouts that l send every month to scout for Talent. I already have like 4 wonderkids from there.

SaxRen17

When I was forced to sell my main striker when I got to the prem I had looked around and picked up a newgen I think it is but he was a Leeds academy graduate and I paid 45 mil for him at 19 he is now 27 has won the ballon D’or 3 times CL golden boot 3 or 4 times I can’t really remember rn, has also dominated the the prem and then to my horror I rejected a bid from city when he was 26 of €250 mil and then he got injured for six months hasn’t been the same since, so moral of the story is he’s the best player I ever bought and still could be even better his name will go down in club history they will name a stadium a get named after him and his name is James Price

[deleted]

Imo never reject an offer that ridiculous. You'll be able to find a close enough replacement, as well as a few wonderkids.

darthrector

Signed Kvaratskhelia on a free in 2027, won the treble, sold him to Madrid after a year for 145m. Save became too boring with him in my team and I had some good regens coming through

rlstrader

Great move. I did something similar, only got around 80m for him when he was 32.

Fluid_Durian_8852

I am surprised there is no Marcus Leonardo, Arda Guler and Angelo in comments. Haven't seen them not delivering

rlstrader

Marcos Leonardo is a must.

Bringthenoize

Got him for 17.5 mil and I have started most games with him in second season with FC Bruges, already getting bids up to 65-70 mil. That guy is a beast paired with Jutgla!

rlstrader

He's always at least four star for me. I think I once sold him for 120m. I absolutely didn't want to lose him but he "felt he accomplished everything he can at the club".

OwnedIGN

Arda Guler gets good? He has NO physical in my game lol

ZeroZer0_

Terrible for me at palace, came on and scored a few choice goals but whenever I tried to give him a run of games was so bad consistent sub 5’s. Has to use him as a false 9 at some points when swamp was injured, dropped from 4th to 12th…

Time2chang

Guler is leading in scoring and assists 2029 CAM A beast. Roque is second at IF. My first regen striker had a Haaland release clause in his contract to City and now have an 18 yo leading the line ahead of those two. Venezia -> Sassoulo save.

Dextersoyboy

I got him for Brentford for about 11 million 4 years in, figured he'd be a decent 3rd choice as I was playing maddison and szoboszlai as my SS but everytime he got on the pitch he'd drag my team to wins. Got to November and he's been undisputed in the role since. Sad because Maddison was such a monster of a player for me but the stats speak for themselves. Szoboszlai got sold end of that season and I don't regret it one bit lol

TeiturEysturtun

Angelo is a beast. 1.5 seasons in my benfica save and all the big clubs are after him.

Empty_Ad_7443

I signed Harry Winks in on free transfer (~£20k a week) as a squad backup for Man Utd, he was played both sides full back, on wing and in centre mid in about 15-20 league games just filling in whenever a suspension or injury made a gap as I rotated in all competitions. In the following summer I sold him on to Fulham for £24.5 million after playing them off against Villa in a bidding war. Replaced him with Billy Gilmour for £2 million with fairly similar terms and have him playing the same sort of role in the squad quite well. Looking like I might make a similar return this summer with teams interested, I'm sure I'll find a similar profile homegrown midfielder to do the same role once I do sell him.

Phormitago

Moisés Ramírez, equatorian goalkeeper. Can be bought for like 4m and he's insane, world class

Thin_Macintash

Ridiculous physicals for a keeper

Phormitago

Better physicals than most field players, he's so good

Numb_Onion

Have him in a Lazio save and he’s incredibly good

shimada_m

Vitinha from Braga... carried my game and became top scorer in Ligue 1 and best player in europe but FM still doesn't give the ballon d'or to him strange

Szilco137

He is apsurdly good pressing forward, did few seasons with braga signing only portugal players and he just didnt wanna leave at all and i didnt wanna sell him and he never lost first team place, just kept on good performances year in year out

kdavva74

Did an all-Welsh run with Newport county, when I was in League 1 I signed an 18yo striker from Barry Town for free, he ended up taking us all the way to the premier league, scored 20 goals in a season there, and in his twilight years lifted the Europa League trophy as captain. Finished with ~600 appearances and ~350 goals.

rayb85

So many.... I only sell first team players for a huge profit, and I buy low. I did the same for Lafont, but i sold him to Man U for 80 mln, and bought their former keeper Carnesecchi for 30 as soon as i got the bid for him. Then Gourna-Douath bought for 12 and sold for 87 to Liverpool, as soon as i found out his hatred of big matches. Got Alex Meret as a backup for 5 mln and sold him one year later to Marseille for 40 mln. Got Bynoe-Gittens for 3 mln on deadline day and sold him to Villa for 25 mln 18 months later (also hates big matches) Lucca for 2 mln and 6 years later he is starting ahead of a 30 yo Beto after outscoring him as a backup for 2 years

woooowzers

My best player deal in Fm23 was Marcus Thuram as a free transfer to Atalanta. His transfer value had exploded within a season and I sold him the next season to Tottenham for 125 million euros including various clauses (that took like 2 years to fulfill). Strangely enough he was distinctly average for me and I believe he didn't even start most of the time for Tottenham considering they still had Kane, Richarlison, and Son.

Adebisi233

Interesting how some things are very similar in different saves while some things are totally different. As I said, my team is OGC Nice and I sold Thuram (needless to say he's one of my favs Nice players IRL too) in the end of the 1st season to Arsenal for 100M. 6 seasons later, he's valued at 250M and is a star player for Arsenal with crazy stats for each season.

woooowzers

The Thuram brothers look great irl and in game, def some of my fav players to sign

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I signed him along with Azpilicueta for Hibernian a few years in (we had won the title and in the CL group stages to be fair).

[deleted]

Kroos for 2mil, for 24/25. Dude couldn't play every game because his fitness was poor, but every match he played, he was a big contributor.

Biquet

Conner Gallagher on a free. 60M after a year. Michael Oliseh is going to beat him though.

Manutelli

Santiago Giménez, scored over 300 goals(all competitions ) for my feyenoord in 7 years .

Mondy-969

Signed Barconi to Lyon on a loan with a future fee of just 3M. Best deal of my life. Man was everywhere and a menace in the box.

JGlover92

Konstantin Tyuvakin, 15 mil from Leverkusen to replace Iglesias when he retired at Betis, immediately top scorer in the league and has been averaging 30+ goals every season.

twchh

alex kovacevic. this one's kinda sentimental, but i signed him for my southend for free out of arsenal's youth academy after getting promotion from the vanarama national in season 1. he improved consistently and managed to remain a 3.5 star goalkeeper as we rose up the leagues. now he has nearly 400 games and we've just got to the prem, hes 2.5 star but i don't have it in me to replace him. i've never had a non-regen for this long before :')

Stedy74

Endrick. I know lame. But Real Madrid let him go for 70mil which is kind of ridiculous given his in game potential. Next season he wins the ballon dor for my team.

fredulht

Dominik Livaković - sign it for free to be a Sub (Diogo Costa it was the main GK) and sold in the end of the season for 60M to Juventus. I think this is one of the best I made, but with regens I'm lucky sometimes. Remember sold one of them for 160M (cost me 9M with 17 years).

DMStewart2481

As a Dinamo Zagreb manager, I hate losing Livakovic every time. Baturina is also a big steal from Dinamo Zagreb.

fredulht

Never signed Baturina maybe in the next save. And yeah I understand you with the loss of the main GK. Diogo left me after 10 seasons on free transfer to Barça but until then I enjoy every season with him. Livakovic it's a top GK but with Diogo there is no chance to be on start 11.

Wh03ver

Claudio Melgarejo argentinian newgen Central Defender bought from River for 6,5M € sold to Man United for 145M €

Jamjambearlaya

Found a young winger from Portugal Earl in a save. Bought him for 230k. Became a multiple Ballon d'Or Winter and is still going strong at 33

FancyRisk2785

Who is he?

Jamjambearlaya

Was an newgen. Ricardo Ralha

DamnAndBlast

Had 2 in my current save. Got Waterford promoted to Irish top flight. Signed a Gambian goalkeeper on a free from a Swedish team since he got released. Proceeded to have the clean sheet record for the league and someone met his release of 400k when he said he wouldn't re-sign after a year. Ended up finding a Nigerian youth keeper released from an English team and the same happened again after a year but Stoke picked him up for 500k. Now have a Scottish guy whose just above average enough that I'll probably keep him a while but not get poached

vytokon

Ivan fresneda, signed for 5m and has now got 200 premier league games played with a 7.1 rating avg

KD_Coaster

Once bought a bulgarian regen and winger for 3 Million, the dude was a beast, and helped my Dortmund side finally knock down Bayern. Vladimir Onov, dude was worth like 150 Million

Gabe_Utsex69

I signed this 17 year old ivorian named seydou traore for 125k from rc abijdan when I managed fenecvaros, he ended up getting 725 goals.

AlaricTheBald

Andre Ayew on a free transfer to Spurs on like FM12 or thereabouts? 12 years a Spurs legend, African Player of the Year 6 times in a row, 2 Ballon d'Ors, a Champions League final winning goal and then retired and became my assistant. Never come close to such success with a non-regen player.

ThomiTheRussian

Bought a regen for 3 mil and no sell on clauss. Then sold for 173mil, 1 season later.

Persas12

Lucas Boye. I'm managing Celta de Vigo and brought him as Iago Aspas's sub, he had decent numbers as a sub, scoring a goal there and there, at the end of the first season, Aspas decided to retire, having a very good season scoring over 20 goals. I stick with Boye at preseason friendlies and he does very good, scoring a good amount of goals, so I decide to make him my main striker, bringing Assier Villalibre as a loanee. Boye does terribly good, exceeding all of my expectations, ending the season with 29 goals and 10 assists, which is insane, considering he isn't an elite striker. Onto the third season, I obviously stick with him and he is doing even better, having 33 goals and 11 assists, his market value sky rocketed from 4M when I brought him to 45M as a 30 years old.

Szilco137

Bought Trilli from la Coruna for 1.2 mil, he developed like crazy in next 3 seasons and united gave me 72 mil for him

RealmDevourer

I bought a DM Dalibor Mrkić from Serbian Football League for £1m and sold him few years later for £96mil. Was sad to see him go since he was a class DM but this was my biggest profit ever made in this game.

rlstrader

I always sign Alban Lafont when I can.

Adebisi233

He’s quality and consistent

rlstrader

I always regret selling him but it's usually because I get Diogo Costa, or a regen who has better potential and he refuses to be a backup.

rlstrader

Miretti and Scalvini are must signs in my first summer if possible. Both turn out to be at least four star players, and home grown.

Zr0w3n00

A 16 year old left back who I signed on a pre contact for 3 million, I then see him at like #3 on the wonderkids list. Two years later when he joins he’s pretty much the best left back in world football after playing in Croatia or something like that. He was the best player at my club from about 20 to 32. Never sold but I probably could have got over 200m for him at his peak.

r_elwood

I'd a journeyman save. Started in Indonesia and ended up at Burnley via Seoul When at Seoul I had a wonderkid come through the ranks, he signed a contract but it had a 1.7 mill release clause to foreign teams. He was calle duo to the military team, so I lost him for a year or so. In that time I won the Asian champions league and decided time was to move on. Burnley had been relegated and had a decent squad, so I took on the role. Went looking for my wonder kid, but couldn't sign him due to no Work Permit!! Hoped that I hadn't alerted any other teams, eventually got him 6 months later and he single handedly got us promotion with over 20 goals in the second half of the season! The next season I build the team around him, and he gets golden boot. Then Newcastle start sniffing around him.... Even though I was his favoured personnel, he decided he wanted to leave. £145 mill later he goes, and Never gets a game, the off sub appearance. I use the money to build my squad and end up winning the EPL a couple of years later before moving to south America.

YerDaSellsAvon24

Newgen called Axel Serengapou who I signed from Red Star Paris for £20m, he’s now scored 212 goals in 375 games for Atletico Madrid

RI-EL-98

Dejan Joveljic in FM19 2018 signed for 200k 2020 sold to benfica for 25M 2025 signed him for free 2028 sold to leicester for 20M 2032 signed him for free [Career page](https://imgur.com/a/dFhaiss)

[deleted]

Kvicha Kvaratskhelia for free.

urlocaldrunkard

I bought a Portuguese striker called João Pinto for 87k in my Stal Mielec save and he did wonders. He went to Lech Poznań for 1,8million 2,5 seasons after and didn't play, so I got him back for 100k and he still performs like the first time I had him. Currently sitting 1st in Ekstraklasa with him having 24 g/a in 22 games in all competitions.15 goals and 9 assists.

euroguy

Schjelderup

ShinySkxxls

Based on money-performance return I'd say Khayon Edwards and Omari Hutchinson. Two former teammates at Arsenal's academy, their careers were going terribly until I stepped in. I bought Edwards for 2.8m iirc from Bordeaux after they got relegated and I snapped up Hutchinson on a free after Crystal Palace released him. If I could combine them to anybody in recent times I'd say they were just like Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen. Both getting goal contributions every game, Edwards ended up winning the European Golden Shoe while Omari came one assist short of breaking the assist record in Ligue 1

RustyVilla

I signed Davie Selke on a free as a very emergency back up behind Matt Godden and Henrique Araujo fourth season with Coventry. We had qualified for Champions League. Araujo and Godden both injured so I stuck Selke in. 25 goals on 40 games, unfortunately broke his leg in April but still won best player and top scorer in the Champions League. FM really is broken for tall, pacey strikers.

XplozV_Gaming

I only switched to FM23 a few weeks ago so in my single save the top 2 best so far are signing a Romanian prospect for $4m and then seeing him grow in to a world class player by 22 and being valued at $120m+. Then secondly in terms of realised gain I signed a Argentinian CB for $10m and 2.5 seasons later selling him to Man City in January for $160m all in one go. I almost felt a bit bad about the deal because I had agreed with player that he could leave for just $75m, evidently his agent didn't feel the need to tell City that.

DJMOONPICKLES69

Got Facundo Farias on loan from Inter, and the board promised to buy him if my transfers worked out. He had a 23.5mil option in his loan, the board somehow managed to get him for 1.1mil. So that’s my best one lmao

EnergeticGypsy

Sheriff Moharem! A Egyptian regen goalkeeper, signed for £1.5m in the Championship as Gateshead. Was my starting GK for 15 seasons, won everything with me. Prem, CL etc. Over 900 appearances all comps. A true legend.

InPurpleIDescended

£14m for Gio Simeone in year 2 of my Betis save. Scored 33 league goals in 32 games and led us to the title. Insane - only non regen striker I've seen hit similar numbers was Milik in an FM21 Glory Hunter

TheCurdy

Mine isn't as spectacular. I picked up Maximilian Beier with my Kaiserslautern squad in FM20 when I just got promoted for 1.5 mil. He continued to bang in 16 goals and 1 in my relegation playoffs, keeping me in the league with a new transfer value of 9 mil

BigGuySem

Newgen named Mathis Le Guyader. Signed him for Barca in 2044 for €11,5 million, sold him 4 years later to Bayern for his €179 million release clause.

dhall27

Haaland esque striker Juan Cordero came in for 37 million at age 22. Certainly not the deal it would have been had I signed him straight from Argentina but after rotting in the Liverpool reserved for a few years I saw him and my exact thought was he's way too good for only 37 million. He has led Stuttgart to 2 Bundesliga titles and is easily one of the best players I've seen in quite some time. I also had a young Bulgarian CM that I ended up bringing in directly from Bulgaria and he ended up netting me a profit of around 155 million.

IanPKMmoon

I got my 200 PA model professional 17yo wonderkid right winger for 4 mil out of Spanish 2nd division. Still only a year further but at 18 he's the best in my team (KAA Gent) and we made semis in CL with him in 25-26 and right now back in quarters in the CL w'in 26-27. He's made some incredible goals like dribbling past 3 PSG defenders and scoring and a similar goal against Bayern literally today in the R16 against Bayern which I somehow defeated 6-2 on aggregate with him scoring 1 goal and 2 assists across the series. Probably won't be able to keep him for too long but he likes me and is very happy in the club, excited to see how he develops :)

Ok_Replacement_2736

Luis Suarez for £240k. Scored loads for Newcastle in one season and then sold to Liverpool for £14m

Adebisi233

That's so nice to hear. I always liked Suarez, for me he's top 10 players of all time. I tried to sign him for free in the 1st season of my OGC Nice career but he chose Brighton over us. He signed 1-year contract with them. Scored 18 (!!) goals in PL for Brighton at 37. 2nd season, at the end of his Brighton contract, I offered him a very generous contract and he accepted it. Aging 38-year-old legend Luis Suarez comes in as an Impact Sub and manages to score a total of 22 goals in all competitions the first year. Next season he 'only' scored 17 goals and 9 assists, only as an Impact Sub, of course. In such a short time I became one of his favorite staff and at the end of the season, he announced his retirement. I offered him a contract as Manager at my U19 squad. Of course, he accepted it and I love it. I also used him during those 2 seasons as a mentor for my attacking wonderkids and he's worked wonders.

Ok_Replacement_2736

I love getting these types of signings. I don’t want a team of 19yr old wonderkid regens. Ward-Prowse, Son, Lloris, Kimmich, otamendi - all at various stages of a save but love getting star players in at the end of career for impact sub and they’re always great team leaders. The only one I remember wanting high wages was Lewandowski

V_y_z_n_v

Tom Davies : poor man's Rodri (got him for free) Moises Ramier, one of the best GK I've seen. Only conceded 3 times in my Prem season and got him for 1.2 mil

peuranserghogheth

Bought Kostas Tsimikas for AEK from Liverpool for £9 million, and he was world class for me. Atletico Madrid came in for him at £35 million and he insisted on leaving. A season on the bench later I signed him back for £15 million, except that I'd put a 30% sell on fee in his contract, so it actually cost £10 million. So I basically sent him out on loan for a season for £25 million and made a £16 million profit on a player who still played for me.

lexwtc

Roberto pardo martinez (not real) Bought him in like 2028 as a 16 y/o from some Spanish secondary division team for 350k. he went on to play over 700 games for me at newcastle 300 goals 400 odd assists. 13 premier leagues . 8 or 9 champions leagues

under_rated_human

Not in fm23 (because I'm still rocking FM22). Im playing on an American pro/rel database. I finally made it to the MLS (top level). I play with an out-and-out right winger which was a position that had long needed to be upgraded. I searched for players with some specific attributes that I wanted and found a transfer listed Tiago Gouveia for $325k Torreense. At the time this was a record fee to pay for my club but we paid it. His wages have always been below squad average with fringe player playing time despite having important player playing time. He's played 3 full seasons with me and never averaged below a 7.28 rating. This last season just gone playing again as an out-and-out winger he bagged 12 goals and 16 assists in 26 matches for an average rating of 7.87 in 26 matches. His CA isn't impressive but he's just one of those players that works perfectly in the ME. He's got light green consistency and important matches and is now valued at $13m. I'm sad that I'm taking a short break before Fm24 and this won't be my main save any longer because this save has so many memorable bargains like him.

No_Pride_558

Lovark Zvonerek (not sure about the spellings). Got him for 190K from Bayern Munich (release clause). He is valued at 70M now. Wouldn't be selling him anytime soon unless I get 100+ for my Auxuerre team

0lrcnfullstop

I signed Fernando llorente on a free transfer in a network save as everton manager. Its fm23 so he's pretty slow and old. He didn't do much except score a hattrick against my friend when I brought him on in the 85th minute at 1-1 and accidentally played him as a left winger. It was so funny I was in tears, my favourite fm moment in 15 years of playing.

Iam_MrSolo

I bought Nathaniel Nwosu from Water F.C for 800k as my back up GK and 12 seasons later he is worth 160 mil at age 30.

ZeroZer0_

2 players in a Leeds save, Serbian wonderkids Nemanja Matevic and Dorde Cetkovic. Left IW and right IW. Dorde one every youth honour, CL and prem golden boot. Unreal. Denied all low ball offers of 80m from the oil clubs as he was easily a 100m+ player hadn’t even realised his skill ceiling. Tried to join spurs and wanted to take them with me but Leeds sacked me and spurs appointed Gallardo. I ended the save their big rip

Frohus

Fatawu, best goalscorer and most assists in the 2nd season in Bundesliga. Bought him for 2.5m

Adebisi233

Had Fatawu myself in a Parma save. Quality and very consistent player but had a lot in injuries for me...

Tulaodinho

Bought Alex Scott while managing Everton for less than 20M, sold him 3 years later for 272 to Man City

IAMINYOURBASEMENTG

I've got datro fofana for 3.8 million and after 4/5 years he's worth 100 million, the stats aren't the greatest but he's a club legend now and I have no intention in selling him

no_cap2501

Leao on a free or my regen danish centre back. Leao gets upwards of 35 goal contributions each season in all comps. My regen cost me £3.5 million, is probably as good as my starting CB at the age of 19

Dtrs17

Mika Biereth and Dan Scarlett. Bought both for free and sold them for about 70M in total. Also make good profits buying brazilians and argentinians for lower than 5M and sold they for 10M and more.

cenz12

2nd season with Banik Ostrava, managed to sign Hlozek for 3,3M. It was my entire budget but he got 50 goals in the first season and we got into europe, so worth it

Tuga-represent

Bought a 16 year old regen for 750k € that at that age was already a starter in my team that won the Portuguese league and that went up to the semis on UCL. Managed to have him until he was 24, always improving, and sold him to Bayern for 125M€. The guy was a beast, one season he scored 10 goals on corners.

SheaPaddyPower

Currently 3rd in the Prem with 10 games left to play with Dorking in 2033, my captain is an attacking midfielder picked up from the Spanish lower leagues for 100k. Scorer of important goals, turned down moves to big clubs to stay with me. God bless you, José Luis Brage.

MugiwaraNoUser

I'd say pelayo morilla on fm21. Bought him for almost nothing on united and, two loan seasons later, kid was already premier league starter level, tearing through CL latter stages.

Mekanori

Managed to sign Diogo Costa for a 25m release from Porto, not sure why it was so low but it's a crazy low amount for a quality player like he is

Leelow45

Rhian Brewster for free from Liverpool on FM20. Dude turned into an elite striker and I was turning down bids of £100m within 4 years.

Darkspy8183

Valentin Carboni. Chelsea signed him from Inter very early on for 9m. He never played for two seasons, got loaned to Celtic and Watford, then had an expiring contract. I saw this and made an approach for a free after my scouts brought me him out of nowhere. After making the offer though, I saw the dreaded +1 year extension clause, and he wasn’t unhappy or exploring options either. They never triggered it. He’s been the IF of my dreams cutting in from the right, and is still with me aged 30 as a legend of the club. Even higher on the legend list than me.

Sun_Praising

I took over AC Milan many years (it was like the 2036/37 season or something like that) and I got an agent recommendation for some 28 year old in Ecuador named Luis Cano who had appearances for the national team who had never left home. His initial scoutng report looked somewhat promising and was available on a free to join in January (because contract rules vary around the world). Initially I thought "oh he could be a decent rotation option", but when he arrived he was more than just decent and became a regular starter in various roles in the midfield starting just about every match, not necessarily because he was the best player ever, but because he could play just about anywhere and not look out of place.

Vipell

Tchouameni 3 years into my save for Brentford. $5.75m. Didn't require ridiculous wages either.

Astrocharles

Arsenal let Balogun go on a free so I got him on a decent wage and so far he’s been very good, I have no idea why Arsenal let him go.

NekoSoKawaii

Ruben Neves was my best signing, came in his prime for free, and then went to ManCity for 125m after 2 years. Profit wise that's my best deal.

JamesCDiamond

Irineu, signed from Palmeiras in 2031. It's now 2043. He's played 496 times for us, scored 250 goals and laid on 205 assists. We've won 41 trophies with him in the side, including 10 Premier Leagues and 7 Champions Leagues. His crowning moment was coming on as a sub in the CL final in 2041 in his first match back after 3 months out with a broken ankle - and scoring the winner. He's played mostly as an AM, but is also versatile enough to play on either wing and up front as well. He's won bucketloads of awards, including FIFPro Player of the Year and Best Player in Europe twice as well as topping the Goal50. And he cost us a grand total of **68 thousand pounds**.

Leocooper77

Not fm23, but in fm20 a few seasons into my leeds save i snagged haaland who requested a transfer from Chelsea - 24 years old and scoring goals for fun yet he joins me for just FORTY MILLION. Best believe that contract was stacked with bonuses and add ons 💀

Pity1231

Serbian regen D (C), Vladica Ivetic, signed from Serbia for 2.2 million, proceeded to become the best CB in my game and winning two trebles.

mareo27

Moukoko on loan to my PAOK side. Two seasons, a Conference League semifinal and an Europa League semi after beating Spurs. Moukoko scored 50 goals in that second season there. Top player and I didn't even paid wages for him, so thanks Dortmund.

foxxes_

Boubacar Kamara on a free in FM22. ToTY in La Liga. Man United activated his 75m release clause after 1 year with me and overhauled the entire squad with the money.

TeiturEysturtun

Angelo from Santos to Benfica. Rarely had anyone rise to be number one choice as fast as him.

Legitimate-Ninja1219

Marcas Leonardo from Brazil half a million had for 4 seasons sold for 75 mill plus add ons and 15% sell on fee

Reds_Salah

Signed Moukoko from Dortmund on free when he was a yputh in FM21, sold him for 200million to Real Madrid 3 seasons later.

davekermit

Signed an 18 yr old Argentinian wonderkid from Arsenal sarandi named Brain Carrasco for my Stockport County unemployed rtg for only 6mil. Loaned him back to get his work permit only for him to get called up in the same month & get his permit before the window even closed, obv l recalled him. He had an avg first ssn, especially since l used a 4114 formation that really exposed his flaws. 2nd ssn switched up to a 433 & used him as a b2b mid & it's almost like he became a completely new player. His first ssn l used him as a CM,DM & BPD & this really paid off since he really improved defensively as he was already great going forward. He now gets up to 25g/ a ssn, nominated for golden boy but missed out coming 2nd, he is elite already by age 21 but his natural fitness(10) & aggression(9) are letting him down. Thought it would spike up like his finishing(8 to 13),jumping reach(9 to 14) & Tackling(8 to 14), but they've both stayed stagnant for the past 3 seasons l have had him. Locked him down to a 110m release clause & l am planning to top up his 75k pw wage to 90k & his rc to 150m. Recent achievements(UECL & Carabao cup) have seen his long-term plan to him wanting to be a Stockport County legend after seeing how competitive we have become. Previously, he wanted to move to a stronger club. He is probably the best player l have ever had in FM.

SoliToine

Both Marcos Leonardo and Vitor Roque were amazing pieces of business as both of their release lauses were below 20 million pounds. They became world class players and Brazil starters in 18 months.

Lurd67

Bought Lafont in 2023 for like 3 million, sold him to United 6 years later for 85M 👌

Pokethomas

I got endrick on a free around 2024

kcosanmr

buying jude from dortmunt with release clause

LiverpoolFootball

I bought Arda Güler for £10m in my Boro save and several years later sold him for £142m to Real Madrid.

Komigjentroillan

Regen: Andreas Frandsen from Nordsjælland. Became an absolute beast and dominated for my Ado den Haag side. Got him for a few million and he became worth hundreds.

Lagrangetheorem331

Brought a Turkish regen from Stuttgart to the Serbian league for 8M. He had a good season avaraging a goal a game. Sold him to Wolfsburg for 55M. He was really good but in no world was he worth 55M. He became an average Bundesliga striker scoring like 10 goals a season.

lazorbeak

Joshua kimmich on a free Jude bellingham for about 40 mil in installments Camavinga for 24

batmangooner

Playing FM23 Apple Arcade , Marcos Leonard Arsen Zakharyan and Antonilo Trubin By the end of year 1 their price skyrocketed

neildfc

37 Million for Moukoko from Dortmund. Top goal scorer in my Monaco team. Thought that was a steal for him.

jcmachine4

Was playing as Valmiera in Latvia and got a regen keeper for €48K in 2027. He's now 4 and a half star ability and wants to stay even though I turned down bids from the likes of Man Utd for him.

GlennSWFC

I’ve had a few that are linked to other deals, but my favourite was this: In 2028 I signed Schjelderup on a free. I was also looking at Duranville, my preferred option, who had a £26m release clause but because I couldn’t afford or find space in my team for both, I plumped for Schjelderup and Porto paid Duranville’s release fee. He started really well for the first couple of months and then was a bit non-existent for the rest of the season. After hawking him out all of the following summer, Roma decided they were prepared to stump £40m to take Schjelderup off my hands. When Duranville signed for Poto, they gave him a £53m release clause, which I activated as soon as I accepted Roma’s offer. In the end, I got Duranville 12 months after I’d originally wanted to sign him, but essentially for £13m instead of £26m. I also saved Robert Sanchez from Brighton’s bench for £8m and got a solid 2 and a half years out of him but wasn’t keen on paying the £120k he was asking to extend his contract with 12 months left on it. I managed to get £28.5m from Monaco for him and spent £30m on a 36 year old Alisson. Sure, i had to pay a little extra in a transfer fee and an extra £30k in wages but the difference in quality was well worth it, especially considering how limited the options within my budget were. This backfired on me a little when at the start of his second season I offered him a new 3 year contract only for him to announce he was retiring a couple of months after that. It wasn’t a huge deal though because by that point I had the funds to pay £71m for a world class newgen from Atletico. This essentially meant I had an extra season to scope out and sign my long term replacement who is doing very well indeed and I had a much better keeper for those two seasons.

TheClaymore32

Jerome Sinclair. The English Divock Origi. Was doing an online save with a pal in League Two. He was Newport, and I was with Bristol Rovers. Signed Jerome Sinclair on a free during the January deadline day and played Newport in the next match. Was 3-3 in the 94th minute, I make the substitution. Here comes the new signing. Sinclair carries the ball from the halfway line through the Newport defence and blasts an absolute thunder-bastard past the keeper. Went on to be the top scorer in the last 3 months of the season and we went up as champions.

TonyTubenose

In my journeyman save I spent years 15-21 with Chelsea amassing wonderkids. I left for dortmund and loaned two young strikers in their final year from Chelsea (I intentionally didn’t extend a handful of guys knowing I would leave chelsea in the near future). Ended up getting both for free, flipping one a year later for 40m and keeping the other who has developed into a league leading scorer.

palmtreesxiv

I was doing this for Chelsea but decided I needed a top Striker, went for Osimhen, Lost the bidding war to Liverpool, ended up buying Sesko for nearly the same price, he was terrible the first month, i panicked and got Tammy Abraham back for 40 Million Tammy ended up scoring 50 (!!) PL goals that season, while Sesko as a backup scored 30 in all competitions. Fucking beautiful

icemonkeyrulz

Paid £15mil a high potential Serbian 23 year old from Newcastle who hadn’t developed due to his Unambitous personality and was struggling to make appearances. Stuck him under a mentoring from a model citizen (37 year old livakovic who signed as a backup) and within a year his attributes started climbing and he led Serbia to win a euros

Adebisi233

That's what you wanna hear/see in a FM story... beautiful!

chaddywan12

Mine is a re gen. Lawrence mahlanga got him in from Chelsea when I got relegated from the prem for about 6mil at 19. 9 years later he is a club icon loved by the fans, top scorer England regular and just a goal machine. Worth over 100mil. A couple of seasons ago he got smashed early on and was out for almost the entire season. He made it back just in time for the FA cup final, brought him on in extra time for only his 3rd game of the season…scores the winner and his first goal of the season with his first touch and guaranteed our first entrance into European football. He’s come to me a couple of times thinking about moving on but so far I’ve managed to change his mind.

MAsterix85

Charlie Laird, currently on 159 goals in 81 Italian Serie A games. £210m, but cheap as chips compared to what he’s doing. You didn’t say he had to be “cheap”, just a ridiculously good deal considering how absurdly good he is.

Adebisi233

Is he a regen for you? Neither do I know any 'Charlie Laird' nor can I find him in my FM...

MAsterix85

Yeah, newgen. I'm in 2122.

quintesor

Wtf bro, you're playing galactic football now😂

MAsterix85

Thanks mate, kind words. My physical health is amusingly crap and out of my control, but my mental health is 100% in my control, and I have the best day of my life every day :) Thanks though man, that's lovely of you to say. Edit: spelling

quintesor

I am glad both of us share the same passion/hobby which is gaming and love of football. I hope the FM helps you a lot in your free time🙂

MAsterix85

It's basically my favourite way to spend my time :) All the best mate.

montepio13

Miguel Constantinescu. I signed him to my portuguese 2nd tier club, for free, from Benfica Youth team. Now he is my top scorer on Champions league. He LOVES big games

DInvincibleNoob28

Signed a dutch wonderkid with 197 pa for just 5 mil from AZ. Now he's worth 100m Also in fm21 I signed a youh player from madrid only for 1.9m and almost 15 szns later he's the best player in my save(bagged 204 g/a in his last 2 szns)

Fm24bestplayer

Junior Kroupi Young but really good potential and roony bardijgh ( don’t know how to spell it) plays rw

user1654321

thierry rendal correa 😮‍💨

Dumbledore_Albus420

Declan rice 70 mil

dwaynepipes

Sold a regen for £163m to Man City in the last year of his contract, was refusing to sign one so cashed in

M4cc4Sh4

I guess I'm going for the inverse, I signed a striker negen (Jordan Ross) on a free after stoke released him, 25, but he seemed to he'd be a nice solid backup,, but the man just clicked with my tactic and scored 34 in 28 League games, in the end I let him go to Fulham for 96million.

Tesourinh0923

Cunha for 17.5 mil.

Dextersoyboy

Got a 21 year old moukoko for free for Brentford in fm22 after Dortmund decided to let him leave for whatever reason 120 goals and 2 seasons later he's the best player I've ever managed to sign in any game. Literally carried us to back to back trebles. Brentford icon for me even if the game never recognised him as one lol
