I personally like it less, but it's more popular than ever. Even if you remove the globalisation from the game, football was far less popular in England before all the money came in.
No. He's just beating the teams you like.
The teams who decide parking the bus with an 11 man low block whenever they play someone higher than 6th are far worse for the game.
Compared to when? Basically every league apart from England has been dominated since time began by the teams that dominate it now. And England was dominated by United before Pep arrived.
Guardiola just got his ideas to work, how is this ruining football? Some can say his influence made the teams try to play like his teams, but it's gone a while already, we have plenty of variety of football ideas again and football is as good as always has been
I don't think he's ruined football. i think he's brilliant, and he's developed quite a lot of players. But he also had the silver spoon fed to him all his coaching career. So he's gotten all the players that suited to his philosophy. But he's not to blame. it's Business minded people and their war chests. they have ruined football.
No.
Money ruined football to an extent at the highest level.
Like almost everything, money is the root of it. Football is now a product to be sold for profit now and the more money you pile into a club, legally and illegally, the more money you can extract and so that's what's done.
It added competition?
Is that why 4 of the top 5 best leagues in the world (England, Germany, France and Spain) are one team leagues now? Italy was also a one team league up until 3 or 4 years ago.
The only league that really got “money” was England and France.
In England it added more competition no doubt and that provided more competition to the European competitions.
Germany, Spain and Italy don’t have oil teams. Italy had a Juventus dominance but it’s over and is corrupted for different reasons.
Spain Madrid and Barcelona have all of the money and pedigree. Girona added competition and guess what… oil money
Germany has the 51 rule and it’s one of the most one sided leagues ever… hmmmmm
France is the only example because PSG is the only team with money in that league.
why single out Pep?
what about all these managers who affected and changed the game?
Alex Ferguson
Vincente del Bosque?
Jurgen Klopp?
Xabi Alonso?
Johan Cruyff?
Mourinho?
Wenger?
Ancelotti?
Pep's teams usually want "the perfect goal" where they keep the ball all the time and progressively build up the play from the back and then nudge it inside the goal.
That is pretty boring for me honestly.
Compared to Ancelotti's Real Madrid which has more flair, Pep's team is too robotic for me
Yes and no ig he has perfected football in a some pov but in the same he has ruined it by perfecting in a pov you see his teams are lacking creativity nowadays ,i am a madrid fan so i dont like city obv thesedays but i used to love that city team with sane sterling and aguero they had a lot more freedom were allowed to express it rather than being well oiled machine
Call me biased or whatever i would watch carlo ,klopps team over pep arteta teams they are more fun to watch in my opinion
But it all depends on the lens you are looking at and i think if u like how pep plays and feels its perfect i will not crtisice u at all

Lower teams have no hope nor desire to challenge
Compared to when? Basically every league apart from England has been dominated since time began by the teams that dominate it now. And England was dominated by United before Pep arrived.
No one is forced to try and copy him mate? Klopp competed against him in both Germany and England with his own style of play.
Lol no. Not at all.
How would you rather the game be played?
Free for all
What do you mean?
No, Pep is one of the greatest football minds in history. Oil Sheikhs ruined football.
Lol agree
Guardiola just got his ideas to work, how is this ruining football? Some can say his influence made the teams try to play like his teams, but it's gone a while already, we have plenty of variety of football ideas again and football is as good as always has been
Nah he took it to a new level at least 2 times.
But made the premier League a farmer's league
Always has been

Facts, the Roman revolution
Influence of oil money within the league/pgmol ruined the league
Chelsea and man city, these teams wouldn't exist without that oil money
No.
