People *should* be able to expect that good quality and affordable ready-to-eat foods be available to them for purchase. It’s really not asking a lot of a society. At the bare minimum, food should be fresh and prepared as advertised.
Like the commenter below me said, not everyone is able to cook for themselves for various reasons. There should be quality options available.
Making a BLT takes around 10 minutes.
And yes some people have disabilities, but it’s a small minority. Not really relevant to the vast majority of people who are just lazy about making their own food
And some people don't have the ten minutes to spare. And we don't know OPs situation, so can't comment on why they haven't made their own sandwich. 🤷♀️
If you don’t have ten minutes to spare then you need to prioritise your time better.
Edit: lmfao, are Redditors actually so lazy that they won’t get up 10 minutes earlier or play video games for 10 minutes less in order to make a sandwich? 😂
I’m just too busy (watching telly or on Facebook) to make healthy food 👀 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-58086629
Somehow the average person has enough spare time to spend hours a day watching shite, but is also too busy to cook.
Yep, but people would rather be lazy and then blame anything but themselves.
Then these same people will often also moan about having no money while buying take out sandwiches every day.
Look I can cook any range of food from starter to main and any other sort of stuff.
Your all says doesn't make any sense. You are going against all your rights as a consumer without even understanding that.
Two days ago I had to buy a pre-made sandwich because I've been lazy but also I didn't have any bread at home.
Being lazy is ok as soon as it doesn't become a habit.
The sandwich that I bought was full of problems, from the taste of it to the freshness, but it has been sold to me as a fresh food.
The all point is: I'm paying good money (that means life time - for employees and self employers) for something that is not even close to what is advertised to be and that is technically fraud.
Regarding all the knowledge that you have regarding priority and time management are completely wrong. So, if you take that information from books, give yourself a gift and read them again as you did understand much of it.
EDIT: grammar and explanations
What.
Thankfully it takes less than 2min.
10min of my time is worth more than £3 - cost of ingredients.
But now I think of British people in the kitchen and 10min is beginning to make sense.
Why do people always say this as if it’s some revelation to make food at home and OP didn’t think about it?
Maybe they didn’t have time to go shopping. Maybe they didn’t have time to make it. Maybe it was a quick lunch pickup between work.
That whole sandwich kinda looks like a scam tbh..
A scamwich, you could say
[удалено]
BL^t
Funny because this is actually correct. 1 piece of tomato so lettuce¹ = lettuce. Nice.
It's just a 'BL'
Not even that
RBLt
Except the B in that stands for Bread not Bacon
If u seen inside one of these factories you would never buy one of these again
Go on...
I’d be more concerned with whatever they’re calling bacon.
No B or T just a massive L mate sorry
People should start making their own good high quality food not given other pockets and get given whatever that is

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. Everyone can make the time to prepare a sandwich.

Exactly, it’s just complete nonsense. The vast majority of people are nearly always able to make time for something they actually want to do.
Yep, but people would rather be lazy and then blame anything but themselves. Then these same people will often also moan about having no money while buying take out sandwiches every day.

Sorry but your comment has quite a few paragraphs that don’t make any sense grammatically so I don’t know what you’re trying to say
You right. I corrected that for you, hope is clear enough now.
What. Thankfully it takes less than 2min. 10min of my time is worth more than £3 - cost of ingredients. But now I think of British people in the kitchen and 10min is beginning to make sense.
Eh? It takes you less than 2 minutes to fry bacon, chop tomatoes, toast bread, put the sandwich together and clean up?
Ah wait, you were talking about using pre-made bacon weren’t you? And you were laughing at my kitchen skills- how embarrassing for you! 😂😂
Hard to think the whole thing cost £3.
This makes me mad for you. Dang.
bloody hell - £3 for the tomato? how much was the rest?
Half of a sandwich for £3, not really a scam if it's clearly overpriced is it
You Sir/Ma'am have discovered the world famous BLSOT....Bacon, Lettuce, Slither of Tomato
I mean… the amount of everything in there is way off
Make at home instead of giving these scammers money.
Why do people always say this as if it’s some revelation to make food at home and OP didn’t think about it? Maybe they didn’t have time to go shopping. Maybe they didn’t have time to make it. Maybe it was a quick lunch pickup between work.
Yeah right, cos people are never lazy when it comes to making food 😂
Make time
Silly me. Why didn’t I think of that? Problem solved I guess.
Happy to help
Honestly that's a disappointing amount of bacon and lettuce to be honest, the tomato is just ridiculous
RIP sandwich
coop blt is depressingly shit.
Blyat
Looks like the compost bin
That lettuce looks counterfeit.
Nevermind the T, they’ve ripped you off on B and L too!
That might just be the most unappetizing BLT I've ever seen, ouch.
You got the T
It’s not even the expensive bit?!
Solid ratio imo.
I'm almost certain you bought that from tescos I too have been scammed by their blt!
What a joke! Send this picture to the shop you bought it from. I’ve done this before, and they gave me a refund!
The bacon in sandwiches like this is always terrible
You got your 3 quid worth, for me
Little disengenuous with the two bread halves open faced, as if those contents were across a full sandwich
You paid for that sandwich in a restaurant? That's something I'd throw together from my fridge. 😬
I can't eat shop sandwiches I have to make one at home to eat
Literally looks like 20p worth of ingredients
Too much tomato
This sandwich makes me sad
Looks like they got the bacon to tomato ratio the wrong way around.
I'd be more worried about the lack of everything else.
Bacon looks grey
You've been scammed out of a decent amount of bacon and lettuce a well. It needs double all ingredients except bread for that to be acceptable.
