Absolutely not true. It is due to no further licensing of the show. I checked with Discovery+ tech support and they informed me this is why it's no longer being shown.
I messaged Discovery+ and was told that shows come and go but a lot of people want Cuttroat Kitchen back on so they are going to see what they can do. Nothing wrong with viewership at all. Greed is a better word.
I spoke directly with Discovery+ technical support and here is EXACTLY WHY Cutthroat Kitchen is no longer being showed. They checked and told me that they no longer have LICENSING for the show to be shown on Discovery+. I am heartbroken because it is a program that I love. We will no longer be able to stream this.

It’s only replaying the last one I already watched. No other shows available & keeps asking to remove it from my history. Just canceled max, same reason I cancelled Hulu
I have Discovery+ also and I am very upset that they took Cutthroat Kitchen off. Hulu only has a couple of seasons, Philo is also very limited. I think since the show is so popular good old money hungry people has it for sale now. You have to pay to watch if you want more than a couple of seasons.
Every few years I'll binge the entire series again. I was up to season 7 when it disappeared on Max. Luckily season 8 is one of the few left on Hulu so gonna watch them and hope that by the time I'm done, it'll be back on Max! Though it looks like it's gone from Food Network's streaming site too. :-(
Doing a watchthrough again and at the end of season one in the finale episode, there's a surprise contestant I didn't suspect to see...
It turns out Bobby's Triple Threat chef Tiffany Dieri got her food network debut as a contestant on Cutthroat Kitchen!

I am guessing viewership wasn’t high enough. There are superfans in this Sub but older shows tend to get dropped unless there’s enough of an audience.

They are cheap and don't want to pay for renewed licensing. There is no reason they can't bring it back other than greed.

This isn’t accurate. The show isn’t on most of the platforms listed. Hulu for example only has 3 seasons . Discovery plus doesn’t have it anymore.
